This would be good for undergraduate reading class and for parents/guardians who want to learn specific information about testing. The book is a quick read, and it includes what it says it does—basic facts about assessment of dyslexia. There is a SIMILAR book (also published by IDA) by Moats & Dakin called Basic Facts About Dyslexia & Other Reading Problems. That book is a great starting point. I have donated that book and Overcoming Dyslexia to local libraries. But Overcoming Dyslexia is a lot to take in for parents who are realizing that their kids are struggling with reading, so I recommend the Moats & Dakin book to them.

This is an accessible title from International Dyslexia Association that provides good definitions of reading difficulties and testing to support additional support. It's a great start for parents who are looking for more information on testing.
