Near the end of the war, Himmler sends a loyal submarine captain on a top-secret mission to hide a precious sacred object, leaving clues for future Nazis to find.
Months after the expedition to the Nazi Ice Station Thule, the surviving team members hope for a break from the academic and media frenzy over their discovery. Then one of Purdue’s oil platforms in the North Sea discovers a sunken Nazi wreck in the depths below them and recruits Sam and Nina to explore it.
Why didn’t Calisto stay at the airstrip and wait for the others to return in the helicopter? Would have been more room. Also, you’re not supposed to continue to climb with altitude sickness even with dexamethasone.
Footnote: 1) I’m a devoted Christian, and love reading history. But what people don’t take into account about the spear and robe of Jesus is that at that time he wasn’t considered important enough by the Romans and others to say “Hey, let's hang on to his stuff for the future”. The movies and books about them are all Hollywood and literary sensationalism. The guy with the spear was an ordinary Roman soldier, and his spear wasn't made of precious metals (See the end of the Indiana Jones/Last Crusade movie for an explanation). When his duty was over, he most likely just went back to his barracks, cleaned it off, and stored it with their other weapons. The soldiers divided his garments and probably sold them for money to gamble or drink. So the chances that the originals were kept special are very low. And don’t get me started on the ridiculous amount of accumulated ‘bones of the apostles’ that are lying around. Plus, God doesn’t want us to have the holy artifacts (the Ark of the Covenant, Noah’s ark, etc.) so that we will worship him instead of things.
Fave scenes: Calisto fighting the guys in the car, the jelly beans, Calisto fighting from the ledge, and Elsa’s accord.

What they find inside the U-boat is an ancient weapon known as the Spear of Destiny which has drawn the attention of people that have been hunting it for decades. In the North Sea, a storm is gathering that no weather system can explain because what the Spear awakens cannot be put back to sleep.
The author has written a fast-paced thriller blending WWII history, Nazis, and paranormal elements. It is a story that kept me enthralled and is more than what I expected. The characters in this mystery thriller were well described. I was surprised that Purdue didn’t care about anything unless it added to his glory. This novel is the second volume of the series “Order of the Black Sun.” I did not read the first volume of this series but will go back and read it. Then I will be going to volume three. It’s an excellent book. I am glad that I have been given the opportunity to read this book.

Adventure,danger they are all here
Purdue recruits Nina and Sam on an adventure that puts them in dangerous settings that are almost impossibly to escape, along side is Calisto who is Purdue body guard and lethal in her abilities. Having found an old book with information Purdue cannot resist they start the adventure that takes them to far distant places,and being pursued all along the way. A story that starts on an oil platform in the middle of the North sea or rather under the platform. An adventure of danger and greed the search for power. A great page turner a must read I recommend this book thank you PWC

Lots of fun with an ongoing sense of something dangerous lurking nearby.
A little like "Indiana Jones."
Although there are quite a few holes in the plot, it was still enjoyable.
