This is Kyra's story. What little we learned during Leah's and Gianni's story, was enough to intrigue us. Her luck with men has been atrocious. She seems to fall prey for men who end up trying to control and abuse her. Now that she has taken back control of her life, she is cautious as to whom she allows to get near her and Stephano is just what the "doctor ordered" for a short lived romance.
They live in the same world of fashion and glitz but on opposites sides of the Atlantic. Kyra stayed away from Europe as much as possible and made her life in New York; Stephano played and worked in Europe and barely ever stopped in New York to visit. This was not conducive to a long termed relationship ... Neither one wanted anything serious and both of them were just looking for an enjoyable fling and friendship. Christmas was a time of loneliness without friends and family. They could both enjoy their companionship during this time.
What starts as just a casual fling quickly develops into a blazing fire of lust and want. Beyond that, although they both swear they cannot get serious, there is something between them that goes further than the physical. This one was a little bit better than 3 stars but not quite enough to be 4 stars. With that being said, this book wasn't what i expected but not necessarily in a bad way. I though this was going to be a few chapters and then a quick fling. The author took additional time to build up to the relationship in the beginning, which I appreciated.
The last half of this book was dull, it was mostly these two trying to pry information out of one another and then going to have sex. I was expecting more drama between these two. The excitement wasn't quite there but there was a twist at the end.
Oh! Just in case anyone is wondering ARMPITS ARE NOT SEXY... EVER! The author has a kink for unusual body parts.. licking armpits, under her breast, or toes. I supposed the author was trying to make the sex more exciting but she just took it in a weird direction.
This isn't a stand alone so this one is full of cliffhangers so be prepared.

if you are looking for cheap sex this book is for you. it is between a model and a photographer who refused to open up to one another to actually build a relationship. Any time the other one ask questions and try to get to know them the other one shuts down. so then they go to one of their rooms and have this cheap sax. The author does everything she can to describe it to you which just ruins the entire thing. after she is used to word a hundred times she decides to spice it up a little bit which is where I called it at 75% into the book. I got tired of hearing his knob. needless to say this book is only one star for me which is a high rating in my opinion. I do not understand how you can sit there and try to build a relationship based on refusal to talk.

Stefano and Kyra took me with them on a ride of suspense and falling in love. I loved Emily Jane Trent and Stay with me so much that I had to go through the entire book in a matter of a day or so. This story took you to places and was full of surprises. Love the characters. Can't wait to see what this author has to offer us in the future.

LUST AT FIRST PAGE
I was given this book for an honest review.
Lust hooked me with the first sentence! Immediately we feel the mutual attraction between Stephano and Kyra. They begin their love story in Zurich during Fashion Week, Stephano, younger brother to Gianna is a fashion photographer; Kyra, best friend to Leah, is a runway model.
They meet and instant attraction draws them to each other. Even though Kyra is drawn to his good looks, she immediately establish boundaries and waste no time reminding Stephano, they are essential strangers to each other who happen to have mutual friends. Stephano realizes she doesn’t trust men and vows to get to know her and her secrets.
Stephano is too good to be true. He is handsome, rich and polite. That alone reminds her to keep her guard up because she believes if Stephano is attracted to her, there must be something wrong with him. Therefore she will enjoy their brief time together until they go their separate ways. Which is perfect for both of them. Kyra doesn’t do relationships. Stephano just came out of an ugly breakup.
What I like about the book is the dialogue between the 2 characters. There is actually dialogue. It’s an easy read. A story I could share with my mother and not feel embarrass when she reads the sex scenes. Don’t get me wrong, that’s not to say the sex is tame. Far from it. But out of the bedroom, Stephano is just so nice and sweet. Their time together is fun and carefree and the sex is hot and getting hotter after each encounter. The author, Emily Jane Trent, put ROMANCE back into reading romance books. A story where the hero takes the time to actually woo the female. It’s the perfect book to pull out and read with a glass of wine. I look forward to reading the remainder of the series.

Stephano Rinaldi is a Rinaldi through and through ...just like his brother Gianni ...when they see what they want they go after it and always get what they want. But Stephano meets Kyra he knows she is going to be a challenge. He can see it, smell it and can sense it by her body language but little does Stephano know Kyra will not make it easy on him. Kyra knows what she wants and it is Stephano but with her past and the fact they live on opposite sides of the world will keep Kyra from a fairly tale ending like Leigh has....
Kyra wants to atleast have a few days of fun with Stephano but when a male intruder stalks her on the street and Stephano tries to save her he doesn't realize that what he did made Kyra's walls go back up around her heart and make her past make the decisions about her future. She is afraid lonely and scared in a far away place and just wants to go home to NYC and her safe simple life. It after speaking to Leigh she knows she has to keep on living and stop hiding and face her past head on so she can have a future whether it is Stephano or someone else.
Will she decide to let Stephano have another chance or will his past...ex girlfriend Arabella...leave doubts in the way too if Stephano is really free or the ex or will her ex from the past ruin what she is trying to escape from and have a normal life ??
So there is excitement, uncertainty, cliffhanger, beautiful country scenes and as always fantastic foods and wines but the best part of this series is the loving hearts that theses two individuals have to be willing to share there insecurities and fears so they can get over there pasts and somehow have a future together....if they can..... Waiting patiently for Secrets......

First of all, I wish to congratulate Emily Jane Trent on the release of this series.
This was quite hot, quite sweet even – and not over actively acrobatic – which made me read far more of it than I normally would. The progression of the relationship was lovely, and sweet, and ... natural. So I read the entire book in one sitting. As one does when one gets engrossed!
The story itself is slow, cautious… and that is a very good thing – it really helps you connect with the H and get into her mindset. I got annoyed with Mr. Big shot’s "nagging", which was amazingly well captured from Kyra’s perspective too.
Eventually, just like with him, Stephano had to win me over too…
The story takes a few twists and turns, weaving mystery into the mix. You get to meet a small bit of history from the main players and then you kinda stroll along with them as they forge their own bonds and ties…
I am reading the entire series, and this was book 1. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was well written, nicely wrapped in a genuinely calm, easy going read – until you hit the rocky parts… and it ends. Which grated on my nerves a bit.
Thankfully there is no real big cliffhanger, but it is wrapped up nicely to make you turn the page and ask: “HEY WTF! WHERE’S THE REST OF IT?”
Which I did.
For Erotic, New Love Romances, do grab yourself a copy… make sure you have time and then just… ease into it… You won’t have a choice.

I was gifted an audible copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
Narrator : I love this narrator, her voice is soothing and flows quite nicely
she gives each character a slightly different sound and even adds in some accents when necessary ... not one sounds silly or out of place
Although at one point I thought I heard 'He tasted of hot MAYO!'
hahaha it didn't take me long to realize she said HOT MALE but I still chuckled
Story: I am new to Emily Jane Trent and her books so this book is a completely new to me.
Stephano is sexy and I can tell by the descriptions the author has given, plus he's a photographer and I think that's sexy ;)
He's successful and romantic too. Kyra is a model with some serious past issues!
this book is her story and while we learn a little bit about why she's so mistrustful of men, we don't get the entire story ... I think there is a wee bit more to this story (thankfully there are more books in the series) and I reserve judgment until I learn more about her
right now I feel like she's over reacting but I need more information about her and her past.

I was received an email from her newsletter gifting the audible edition for this, and why not try it?
Well I really wasn't expecting so much from this book. But as I dig myself into it, oh my goodness. It was so good!!!! Especially when they have sex. This book talks about how this girl was keeping a major secret from a guy that she barely knew and was having a lot of feelings over him. What she didn’t was that the guy named as Stephano was having the same struggles with the feelings just like her. They enjoy the limited time they had, but something happens and brings up Kyra’s bad memories to her again. The main plot was getting to me slowly but I really enjoy this books. One thing I didn’t enjoy was on how fast they throw themselves to each other, like literally you just meet him on a fashion show with her brother!
Besides that, the rest was a piece of cake. Sex scene parts, got me with a lot of feelings. Cause I felt like I was there with them watching the whole thing. Emily knows how to please her readers by providing this kind of sex scenes. Even it was my very first time listening to this books in audible. The places mention here are really high on everyone’s dreams on winter. I know this review is short cause I really don’t know how to described this book without giving to much details or spoiler alert.
This books are worth the chance though; I will recommend it to my friends to read it.

This would have been a great book if not for three things.
One, the writing was very simple and with that came the feeling of the author trying to reach word count again. The first few chapters are just full of small talk and I really can’t stand that in a book but, it’s so much better than her other book, Captivated.
The second thing was when they were getting intimate, he kissed and licked her toes and I almost gagged just writing that. This next one actually did make me gag, reading and writing it. After they were intimate, she…noticed his underarm hair and thought about licking and kissing him there, thinking it was sexy. That is just disgusting to me.
The third thing is, this guy apparently does not know how to act around a survivor of abuse. You don’t explode into violence, even to protect, and you don’t shout at them. Of course she’s going to react but he doesn’t get that. He’s just thinking “she doesn’t appreciate me protecting her, well if she’s going to act like that, then I’m done with her.” You know of at least one instance where she was hit and you’re going to act like that? Of course that doesn’t last, so everything works out.
Other than that, it was an alright read with a heart pounding twist at the end.

One, the writing was very simple and with that came the feeling of the author trying to reach word count again. The first few chapters are just full of small talk and I really can’t stand that in a book but, it’s so much better than her other book, Captivated.
The second thing was when they were getting intimate, he kissed and licked her toes and I almost gagged just writing that. This next one actually did make me gag, reading and writing it. After they were intimate, she…noticed his underarm hair and thought about licking and kissing him there, thinking it was sexy. That is just disgusting to me.
The third thing is, this guy apparently does not know how to act around a survivor of abuse. You don’t explode into violence, even to protect, and you don’t shout at them. Of course she’s going to react but he doesn’t get that. He’s just thinking “she doesn’t appreciate me protecting her, well if she’s going to act like that, then I’m done with her.” You know of at least one instance where she was hit and you’re going to act like that? Of course that doesn’t last, so everything works out.
Other than that, it was an alright read with a heart pounding twist at the end.

In Lust we meet Stephano and Kyra. The story is mostly about how they meet and how their relationship develops. For some reason I couldn't get that click that would make all the pieces fall into place in my mind and I would connect to the story and the characters. For me, Kyra and Stephano don't click together. It fell off for a reason. Despite their attraction and sudden development of feeling, I couldn't believe that these two people are meant to be together. I truly hope that in Secrets I will be able to connect with the characters. I was sort of right about how the story would end, which didn't help with the book's case. After the events in the last chapter I hope we will see more action and something more than the relationship of Kyra and Stephano. I am curious about Kyra's past and that's one of the two reasons I will read the next book (the other being the fact that I have been given the whole series for a review).

Kyra is a model in Zurich for Fashion Week with her friends Leah and Gianni. Stephano is a dashing fashion photographer and Gianni's brother. He is bewitched immediately by Kyra and asks her out. She accepts and is equally smitten with Stephano, but her abusive past holds her back.
The story is set against the gorgeous backdrop of Zurich at Christmas and follows the two in their first tentative days together. An element of suspense is introduced when Kyra's violent past comes back to haunt her. This story has everything that makes a romance good - beautiful and damaged protagonists, a sexy setting and just a dash of suspense. Plus, the love scenes are pretty hot, too! I would definitely recommend as a quick read. It ends on a cliffhanger, and I'm looking forward to reading the next installment.

*2+ STARS (but not enough to round up to 3)*
I kept switching back and forth with this one, trying to figure it out if it was the story, the writing, or the narrator that didn't do it for me, and I didn't come up with an answer. Unfortunately, this just was not a hit for me.
It was either the writing or the narrator that seemed stilted, but in the end , it didn't work for me. I didn't connect with either of the characters and if I wasn't reading for a challenge, I likely would not have continued.
I don't think I will continue on with this series. This is my first experience with this author, and I've heard really good things about her stories, so I will likely try another one in the future. Just not this series.

Kyra is full of surprises. I love her friendship with Leah and now we get to learn about Kyra and boy is there a lot behind the confident model persona she exhibits. Stefano is captivated by her which is odd since he photographs models all the time but there's something about Kyra that draws him in. I loved experiencing the development of their relationship. Kyra wasn't a push over which made Stefano work to get close to her, I love how she sticks to her convictions. The closer they get, the more layers that get peeled back for both of them but Kyra has issues I never saw coming. Will Stefano really walk away when Kyra goes back to New York? Very curious to find out what happens next for these two.

I couldn't get enough of Kyra and Stephano. If u have meet Gianni in Leah's Seduction well his brother is just as sexy, loving and can't get enough of. The immediate connection that Kyra and Stephano has towards each other is scorching. When they are together you can't get enough. With little time they have to spend together, they want to cherish every chance they have together. But what happens if Kyra's past could hurt what could be. Must read to see what is gonna happen and can't wait to see what is going to happen next in book 2

Stephano is much like his older brother Gianni in regards to being very protective of the women they care about. Sparks flew between Kyra and Stephano thus starting their whirlwind romance. Kyra has secrets that she hasn't told Stephano. She not close to her parents, loves her siblings and is running from an abusive ex. Stephano may just be the man to love her and protect her. If only her past and her paranoia about it doesn't ruin would could be the beautiful and loving relationship she always deserves.

If the above were excluded, there would be NOTHING left.
I like books with an involved plot, and abhor those that just fill the pages with fluff.
I guess you can tell - I will not be reading the next book in the series. Fortunately, the download was free, and only thing lost was my time in persisting in keeping on reading, waiting for something to happen.

Enjoyed this book

Frustrating, But Interesting!
Myra is so frustratingly dramatic. Jesus just tell him about the past and let go. The drama this early in the storyline is enough to want to be done the whole series of Myra. Yet, I am drawn because I have to find out what comes out in the end. However, Stephano is a dream fantasy boyfriend.

Very intriguing book.
Loved this book. I did not realize it was a series or I would not have read. I enjoy books more if they start and finish in one. However I can honestly say I loved it and will buy next book to finish. Read in one sitting way into the night.

Stay With Me
This is great book where model Kira meets Stephano, a photographer. She doesn't trust him and doesn't reveal her past easily. The hot sex and romance starts to get Kira to open up and Stephano is her knight in shining armour. Very good series.

This book is only average. It was sometimes over dramatic. Sometimes over descriptive. The sex scenes sounded juvenile at times. I would rather a book be shorter than drawn out by too much uninteresting description.
