The Something Of My Life is a nostalgic, memory-filled novel written as a comfort book. It follows multiple teenagers navigating through the hardships of life. At first, the main group go to their usual holiday home. However, the atmosphere is immediately off and something suspicious is going on under their noses. Once they do some digging, their parents are ultimately forced to reveal the truth... Which causes the foundations of the family to crumble. Elena Layne, one of the main characters, works on herself, trying to persevere even though her parents deliberately hurt her. Lorenzo Khan matures and sees life differently after many different new emotions and feels overwhelm him. Eshaal Khan and Stefan, although they are side characters, are key in creating the comforting vibe about the book. And although they struggle throughout, the friend group still has silly moments that make the book feel light-hearted and cosy.
