Mellie’s having a quarter-life crisis. It’s to the point that she’s taking life advice from Shane Brodie, the notorious village flirt, who’s trying desperately to get to the eighteenth century to keep Catie Ferguson from marrying anyone but him.
She not only decides to help Shane go back in time, but agrees to go with him as part of his plan to distract Catie’s posh English suitor. It won’t be too much of a chore since Oliver is exactly what Mellie’s always wanted in a man.
If she isn’t eaten up with guilt over betraying her friends, doesn’t freeze to death in the forest, and can manage to keep from screwing up history (or the future!), she might just find what she needs to be happy.
In the present, Piper’s going nuts trying to plan Evie’s wedding, which has completely put her off wanting to plan her own, much to Lachlan’s dismay.
Evie can’t find the perfect dress and is beginning to wonder why she wanted a big wedding in the first place. Will Sam ever get a ring on her finger?

It's past my bedtime, but I was determined to finish this book. I have a headache, and I'm sorry I even started reading this book.
Mellie and Shane make a "genius" plan to travel back in time to 18th-century Scotland to be with Oliver and Catie, the man and woman they each feel they love. I should mention BOTH of the people Mellie and Shane are pursuing willingly left the 21st century to return to their own time. Oliver is very much in love with Catie. Catie, an independent seventeen-year-old, isn't interested in getting married just yet.
Mellie and Shane are too dim-witted to realize if Oliver and Catie had wanted to be with them, they would have stayed in the 21st century or insisted Mellie and/or Shane come with them to the 18th century. Would someone please tell Mellie he's just not that into you?
Maybe, I should have read the first six books in this series before reading this one. Who am I trying to kid? That probably wouldn't have made any difference in my opinion of this book.
I have loved this series from the start and All for the Heiress is no exception. Remember Mellie from the kitchen and the nursing student? This is her story and she's somewhat convinced herself that she is in love with Oliver (from the past). It takes little pursuation from Shane that they should time jump so that he can pursue Callee. All the characters you have grown to know Piper, Lachlan, Evie, Sam and others all show up again with tidbits of interest themselves. As this book finishes this portion of the series, I look forward to seeing what other characters come to life from this author. Congratulations and I dearly recommend these books!!
Nice ending to the series. Ready to read something different though. Won't take on such a long series again. I am a fast reader so I completed all the books in about a week. If you read a book a month you would be reading this series for nearly a year. I like more variety in my reading. I will switch it up and read a contemporary mystery next. Too much time in the past gets boring after a while. Great writing style though and kept me reading along. Just way too much of a good thing.
I picked up the first book in the series as a freebie from Amazon and once finished bought the rest of the books in the series. If you like the romance with a bit of fantasy (time travel) thrown in, this is a good read.
Catie will be an heiress as soon as she is married. Shane liked her and Millie liked Catie’s friend. They set out to find them but ran into trouble. Author Cassidy Cayman finds a way to not let them interfere.
While you could read each of Lost Highlander books in the series as an individual, stand alone book, The story line is probably a bit more cohesive when read in order. I loved each and every one of the stories about Piper, Lachlan, Evie, Sam, Mellie, and Mags. The author's talent really shines through as you read and begin to see and get to know the characters of the stories. This was a fun, romantic, mysterious, Scottish paranormal series that I believe romanticism of any age will thoroughly enjoy.. The characters as well as the plots are all very well developed and exhibit the depth needed for the story to be "believable" and the characters feel realistic enough to be though of as personal friends.. as soon as I completed one book, I was off searching for the next one... I wonder if the author is going to stop here or continue on with the next generation? Guess we will have to wait and see.
In the beginning I wasn't sure I was going to like this set of books because I wasn't over fond of Evie. I made it through book one with more questions than answers at the end and because of that...I read book two. Finishing book two, I was in love with all the main characters...Piper, Lachland, Evie & Sam. Ms Cayman did a great job introducing the new characters and gave them their perfect mates with Mangus being an adorable addition to Evie and Sam. In the beginning of book 7 I was more than a wee upset. Just like so many of our youth today, Mel and Shane set out to take what they wanted with no thought of anyone else around them. Half way through the book one could only hope they would see the light and Ms Cayman delivered it in spades. This is absolutely one of the best series I've read in a long time and I'm looking forward to reading whatever she writes in the future.
This has been a terrific series and I truly enjoyed it. This story would have to be my favorite of the series. I don't know how Cassidy Cayman did it. She weaves a complicated story that has so many different things impacting it, but she can tell one hell of a story! The love story in this one was so sweet. I truly loved it. My wonder is. what was Caite's final choice. Great book!!
Is a new author to me but this series is not to be missed! From inheriting a castle in Scotland and becoming a billionaire, Piper is thrown for a loop when a raging Highlander appears on the fifth floor of the castle from the 18th century and that's just the first of many surprises in store for her. I loved every book in this series and very highly recommend Cassidy Caymon!!!
So everyone's getting married found the one. Except Cat the sister she loves the guy but wants more. He's willing to wait. Meanwhile the friends from the present finds its not what century your from love first a way. Interesting to see how this family and friends continues little sister still may have a wedding in the future.
I'm really pleased with the ending of this series, but would really love to read more about these characters. Especially Mel and Shane. I'd love to get to see more of them and their futures.
I'd also really love a book for Archie. If anyone should get to go back in time it should be him!
Enjoyed reading this series. Too bad it is ending as there is so many more stories to be told with the characters that were developed in the books written. Great character development, great story with the travelling, just interesting books. Going to try other books by same author.
I only chose a rating of three stars because I felt the story and characters could have been made into a longer story but aside from it being short it was a great story.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. It has mixed present and past in such an interesting but non confusing way. I would highly recommend these books.
Nice wrap up. However I'm not certain I like spin off series for Lord Ashford. However I have to admit that the author became better along the way. So maybe I'll give this other series a go.
