This puts words to concepts that I have intuitively realized, but not looked at straight on. Social work has a troubled past and currently faces some deeply important challenges to our values and ethics. Social workers must make brave choices to live up to those high expectations, and this book helps shape how to think about everyday decisions so they uplift clients rather than exploit or harm them. It is a call to action to deeply interrogate what we think we know and look at our work from the client's perspective. It gave me a fresh look at my practice just in time for our fall crop of MSW students!
