Loved this book! Lexi has her oddest case ever when another woman comes to the agency and asks Lexi to solve her murder.....the woman has experienced a number of dangerous situations and is convinced someone is trying to kill her. A few days later, Lexi goes undercover on the woman's horse ranch. As always, Lexi's trusty sidekick Lilly tags along. Before long, they are finding more suspects than they expected, along with lots of hinky things occurring.
I love the characters and how they've grown and matured over the series. The Lexi/Lilly pair is entertaining and humorous. While this is part of a series, this is a stand alone novel, however, it's so good that you really owe it to yourself to read them all. The author is on my must read authors ' list.

Lexi Graves returns for the next installment of her cozy mystery series! Lexi gets a consultation with Jessica Casey, a woman who asks Lexi to solve her own murder. Lexi ends up undercover at Jessica’s horse farm a few days later, after Jessica had a fatal car accident. Lexi and Lily pose as horse instructors as they investigate the farm and uncover a lot of twists and secrets! Lexi and Lily are always a hilarious duo, and we get some cameos from their family members, Maddox, and of course Solomon.
This series is one of my favorite comfort reads, I found Lexi my senior year of college and anytime Camilla Chafer releases a new book, I know it’s an automatic buy!

This one was a little slow for me. I love all the Lexi Graves books, but I found myself kinda already knowing who the "bad guy" was and felt like some things were being repeated or not being slightly mentioned and not brought up again. Still love these books and will continue to read them!

Lots of action
Fun to see Lexi and Lily fighting crime together. Loan sharks, seedy dive bars, stolen horses, homicide, FBI, and trying for a child.

Lexi and Lily are at it again! The excellent Courage Under Liar, the 19th book in Camilla Chafer's Lexi Graves Mystery series is as funny as it is serious. When a woman approaches the agency about investigating her murder, Lexi really doesn't know how to handle the request but she tentative accepts the job. She has been really busy, but when she tries to contact the woman Jessica, she discovers that the horsewoman has died in an apparent accident. Filled with guilt for not investigating sooner, Lexi and Lily arrive at the woman's equine facility to find out that they are expected! Jessica has told everyone there that Lexi will be at there soon to work as a trainer. Since Lexi knows nothing about horse, Lily is key to the success, or even possibility, of that role. The possible suspects are HIGHLY suspect, but clues are lacking to determine who the real killer is.
It is always a delight to spend time with the sometimes-wacky friends, but they have both matured from the early romps before Lexi joined Solomons team. Maddox is back in town and as hot as ever and just as aggravating as Lexi's brothers.
