Feels like the X-Men comics I used to love, and not in a cheesy nostalgic way. Beautiful art, proper characterization, classic narrative style without being overwrought. Highly recommend.

Read as a single issue with the gorgeous Dauterman cover.

3.5, I like the premise a lit but would like some more slice of life elements from the story arch.

X-books have been suffering a little recently after the end of Krakoa but this was a great throwback, the art is excellent and I genuinely enjoy the old dynamics of certain relationships that hadn’t formed yet (Wolverines uncertainty before Betsy proves herself for example) Fantastic can’t wait for the rest!

Bright Spot In a Dull Year of X-Men

Really fun book, wish the current x-titles would take note. Love the characterization, emotional connections of the characters, and overall design of the book. Shame this isn’t an ongoing, but I’ll enjoy all five issues if they are similar to this first.

x-Men outback 1: no sé si lo esperaba peor, que la historia no me ha parecido mala, en gran parte por el maravilloso arte. La historia con el apoyo del arte se hace entretenida. y ver a Logan causando estragos hasta resulta divertido

Excellent. Really catches the tone of the original outback era. A team who aren’t quite sure of each other and what they are doing facing down dangers from their own kind and those who would harm them. Excited for issue 2.

A solid entry to this mini-series. I think the artwork could b a little better, but overall 4 stars. I hope the next issue is better.
