I love an unproblematic love story!! two people committed to getting it right, choosing each other, doing the work? Yeah, that’s my vibe every time.
But I’m starting to realize… I don’t just want peaceful.. I want engaging. Because this one had all the elements that should’ve worked for me. A trifling ex, a boxing storyline and somehow it still felt like nothing was happening. And that’s where it lost me. It’s not that I need chaos or toxicity, but if you’re taking the drama out, you have to replace it with something. Give me chemistry. Give me emotional depth. Give me moments that make me feel like I’m watching two people really fall for each other. This just felt… flat. And that was disappointing.

This book wraps up the series, but I won’t lie I was hoping for a little more meat on the bones. Indiri and Selah gave us a sweet, easy-to-root-for love story, but something just didn’t fully land.
The introduction to the new community and Watertown had potential, but it felt more like a quick glimpse than a fully developed setting. I kept waiting for things to deepen, for certain moments to stretch out and hit harder but, it all moved pretty fast. By the time I got settled in, it was already wrapping up. Overall, it wasn’t a bad read it just felt a bit rushed and left me with more questions than closure, especially for a final installment.

This one was just okay for me. It’s a fast-paced read with a cute relationship and very little drama between the main characters, which I can appreciate.
But overall, it felt kind of… flat. Nothing about the characters really stood out, and I found myself a bit bored while reading. As a series ending, it also didn’t feel particularly necessary or impactful. Idk just wanted more. Not a bad read, just not a memorable one.

A good ending

Indiri and Selah were perfect for each other. His quiet strength and her gentle perseverance were a match made in heaven. There was no playing games, just a man showing interest and proving with his actions what he's willing to do for his lady. I loved it! I did think that Selah was silly for not putting together the pieces to how Indiri and her ex were connected. I'm sad to see this family go, but this was a really sweet end.

Endearing…

Oops 😬, I just realized I read “Faulted Infatuation: Indiri’s Story” - book 5 before “Rennix’s Story” - Book 4🤭🤷🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️‼️…Nevertheless, Selah & Indiri’s journey was endearing 😍🤩‼️…expect a full review/observation shortly.

Knockout getting knockout in all areas of life is hilarious . Indiri was the perfect get back for Selah. He was easy to love.

Just my thoughts...

I loved the dynamic of a boxer and a baker, such a good contrast, but it worked so well. Indiri, as the youngest, is definitely his brothers’ brother. You can see the same energy, loyalty, and “stand on business” mentality, just in his own way.

Selah was such a sweet spirit. She had a genuine, kind heart, and you could feel that throughout the story. Now, I will say… she was a little naïve at times for me, but it didn’t take away from her character overall.

What I really appreciated was how both of them were surrounded by love. Indiri stayed grounded in his family, and Selah also had a strong, supportive family behind her. That foundation made their relationship feel even more real and balanced.

And I loved that they had a boy keeping the family tradition going! Meanwhile, Reminisce still holding it down as the only girl dad with Romance 😂

Overall, this was a warm, feel-good love story with humor, family, and that signature Kennedy B intentional love.

The perfect Finale( Even if I wanted 100 more pages!)

The Review
I am a huge Kennedy B. fan! My only gripe, which is honestly my struggle with this whole universe, is that I wish the books were longer, but that’s just a testament to how 🔥🔥🔥 the storytelling is.
Indiri and Selah’s story was so sweet and refreshingly direct. There was no unnecessary back-and-forth or "tussle" between them; they found love, and that was the whole point. It was so sexy to see Indi’s level of emotional intelligence, especially his vulnerability and how open he was to letting love in.
On the other side, it was beautiful to see Selah refuse to let her past dictate her future. She did the work to heal and move on with the help of a truly beautiful soul. They built their own world and protected it at all costs. While I’m sad to see this universe come to an end, this was the perfect, beautiful conclusion it deserved.

Book started off good and interesting. a little bit of Other Man cheating drama and the FMC crying over the demise of her relationship. No better eay to get over one man than under another one or however it goes. Selah wasn't really looking for a man. Just sad and drinking in a bar when she found Indiri. He was curt and too the point. They ended up hunching that night and there goes the novel. unfortunately that was the main interest, angst, conflict throughout the whole book. In other words it was a boeing read. the conflict stretched out unnecessarily the whole book. The fight and the ex-boyfriend's reaction to certain things came at the end and was swiftly dealt with. We get no real reaction and closure to a situation that lasted throughout the whole book. The characters were cute and the stoey was overall but it would have been nicer if other conflicts had developed throughout the story. Or if we at least got a good payoff.

nice very nice

Omg the last sibling standalone is so lit. Now u know im one of ur fav readers imma really need an update on all of them like a holiday one 😁. Ol girl ex thought he was something he bit way too much that he can chew. He did my girl wrong and claimed to love her please. If that what love is I don’t want it. U did good on yet another book and I’m looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read

Her peace

Indiri was a smooth one. He advised Selah to get her lick back and she offered him up for service. My boy did not back down and delivered the final blow to Nathaniel in and out the ring.

Indi was her peace when things became too much. It's like he was always there at the right time. Offering up friendship until the lines blurred. There was no going back because his promise was fulfilled with no turning back.

This was a good book and the end to a fun series dominated by men who cherish and protect their women.

Indi and Selah!

Ah, what a way to close out the universe. I absolutely loved Indiris and Selah, and how their relationship felt so pure even from their first meeting 🤭. I love a man who can make you smile after a heartbreak. He quickly became what she needed to feel true secure love. I also enjoyed seeing Indi bonding with his family. To have all of my favs in a book was everything!! This ending was perfect! 🥰 Another 10/10 read!

Indiri Jones

This was the closure I needed. The quiet but lethal Indiri Jones finding love in the form of Selah Murray was everything. The way he showed up for her without truly knowing her was very on brand.

I loved everything about their story and I’m sad to see them go. Hopefully, we’ll get a Christmas update and hopefully someone will, have another set of twins.

Oh and we’ll also find out who Jordyn’s Boo is….Bigs maybe 😜😜😜

Good plot

I enjoyed the plot of the story and the characters. This was the first book I read from this author and will probably be my last. The book needed more editing. There were lots of typos, grammar issues, and continuity errors. It was distracting. I'm interested in her other stories but I can't subject myself to a book with this level of editing issues. Hopefully the author seeks a new editor.

I'm addicted to anything Kennedy Writes.

Every time I read anything from her universe, I'm always pleasantly surprised by the men and women and the complexities of their upbringing, as well as how they can mentally handle big challenges all while effectively communicating with their partner.

Love it

I love this book.
It was a great romantic book.
The main characters showed how they can go through drama but come out on top.
I love how MMC always went after his FMC when she wanted to run. That's the type of relationship you show wanted to have.
I would recommend the book!!!
I am sad to see the series end but it was great

Sliding Down the Wall Crying 😭

I’m definitely going to miss these people.
Loved the story of Indiri and Selah, two people not looking for love but found it. Selah’s ex had some serious nerve, dude was definitely for the streets.
Indiri was so afraid of love due to unresolved childhood trauma.
One thing I loved about this series is the lack of drama, just love.

Great Read

It was nice to finally get Indiri’s story. Everything about this book was good. I expected the fight to be a little longer though, and I just knew that she was gonna show off her baby bump at the fight.

Faulted Infatuation

I’m sad this family is complete but Indiri and Sleah had a insta connection even as Sleah was in the mix of ending something. These two were so Endearing and went from we homies to we go together real bad.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love a lick back story and this was a nice quick read with the perfect amount of drama.

Because I’m reading this series out of order, I wasn’t as familiar with some of the other characters and their back story. But it didn’t change the flow and I was able to keep up.

Indiri found Selah when she needed to be found. With Indiri, she found peace, solace and love like no other. Indiri came hard for Selah and proved to her that life would always be good around him.
