Joining Durand Supernatural Academy was supposed to be simple.

Find the rebels. Prove herself to the Hunters’ Guild. Don’t fall for the enemy.

Jackie failed spectacularly.

Tate’s loyalty shattered her heart. Kyren’s shadows still haunt her. And whatever she had with them burned hotter than it ever should have.

Now heartbroken and fueled by rage, Jackie is done playing nice. Her mission is her first priority and this time, she refuses to be distracted.

Not by golden-retriever werewolves who won’t stop begging for another chance or shadow-wielding vampires stalking her every move. And especially not by the one man she swore she was finished with… even if he’s the only one she can trust.

For a Hunter, love is a weakness.

And vengeance always demands a price.

Will Jackie finish her mission or let the darkness claim her first?

These books are great. The plot is definitely thickening. The pacing in this one I would say is a little slower than the previous book and definitely focuses on the new dynamic between Tate, Kyren and Jack. There are a lot of developments with Julian and honestly? About time this man finally pulls his head out of his ass.

Jack is still a badass but here she makes a lot more impulsive and dangerous decisions. Her and Kyren both did not do well with the big reveals of the last book and this impacts her relationship with both him and Tate, since Tate and Kyren are blood bound.

More and more about how special Jack is comes to light here and we have no idea who to trust and who may be involved in the resistance who wants to harm her and her family.

Poor Tate is dealing with some serious family issues and that makes things uncomfortable for him. It makes sense why he is upset and honestly, I don’t really blame him for not dropping everything to run to Utah to do what is in his mind, no longer his responsibility. The love he has for Jack and for Kyren is beautiful and he is fiercely loyal, loving and protective.

That ending felt very abrupt. Not even a cliffhanger but just an odd place to end the book? Overall it was still great and I loved it. The speed I am getting through them is wild.

not a bad book, just feel like it was a waste of time.. nothing happened
i loved the first book and was so excited for this one but its disappointing.

Also i am kinda confused with julian? it was SO OFTEN mentioned that he refused to take this further and dont want to have a relationship but out of nowhere he is suddenly all over her (SPOILER )and also that he told her dads about everything in the end even though he said he want to be selfish and keep her close? and how do the dads know about the shower scene with tate and kyren?

Pride of a Vampire leans fully into the chaos, angst, and emotional fallout that was brewing in book one—and honestly? I ate it up.

Picking up after the events of Heart of a Vampire, we’re thrown straight into Jackie’s heartbreak-fueled spiral. Betrayal, fractured trust, and messy feelings take center stage as she doubles down on her mission, determined not to let love distract her again. But of course… this is a why choose paranormal academy romance—so things only get more complicated.

What really stood out to me in this installment is the shift in tone. There’s a darker, more emotional edge here, with Jackie navigating anger, vulnerability, and the consequences of everything that’s happened. I loved seeing her grow a bit tougher and more focused, even if she’s still making decisions that had me stressing.

The relationships? Messy. Complicated. Addictive.
Tate, Kyren, and the rest of the harem bring tension in very different ways, and the push-and-pull between them kept me hooked. The angst is definitely turned up, but I did find myself wishing for a little more depth and resolution in some of those emotional threads—especially given how intense everything feels.

Plot-wise, this book balances academy life, rebellion, and looming danger well, though it does feel like another “setup” installment. There’s forward momentum, but not always the payoff I was craving. That said, the pacing is fast, the stakes are rising, and it’s ridiculously easy to binge.

I found Pride of a Vampire to be an awesome read and fast paced. Miss Bedford didn't disappoint she held me captive in the pages wanting more and more. I was pulled into the storyline from page one and had a few sleepless nights... It was that good.
The FMC is a brilliant character but needs to be more careful when she goes out by herself. She loves her family and having more then one dad can be very busy for her life.
The three MMCs are extremely handsome and all 3 care for the FMC and would give their all to see her protected and not get hurt.
I love her best friend... she is the life of any party and keeps the FMC entertained in going to parties.
The action is beautifully done with a Academy/College atmosphere setting. The romance spot on and I could feel the FMC's frustration with a certain co-worker.
So, if you love Shadow Daddies, Protective Wolves, Handsome Hunters, A Strong Willed FMC and Heated Romantic scenes with a 10+ for spice and heat rating then this is the series for you.
I loved reading Pride of a Vampire and the ending was a surprise.. I didn't see it coming. I can't wait to read the next book to see what is going to happen next.

After absolutely living and breathing the first book, I went into this sequel with such high expectations… and unfortunately, it just didn’t quite deliver for me.

The characters are still ones I’ve grown attached to, and I continue to enjoy the vampire and werewolf world Erin Bedford has created. The forbidden romance, morally grey men, and why choose dynamics are all still there, but this time around I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was reading the same conflicts over and over again.

For a large portion of the story, it felt like everyone was stuck in limbo. The plot seemed to circle the same issues without really moving forward, and because of that, I found myself waiting for something significant to happen that never quite came. I kept expecting the momentum from book one to return, but it never reached those same heights.

That said, I haven’t lost interest in the series. The foundation is still incredibly strong, and I’m invested enough in these characters that I’ll happily continue to see where their journey leads next. I’m just hoping the next instalment pushes the story forward and recaptures the magic that had me completely hooked from the very beginning.

Pride of a Vampire is the second book in a fantasy romance series that really pulled me in. From the first page, the story is exciting and keeps getting more intense, so I didn’t want to stop reading.

What I liked most is the dark mood and the strong relationships between the characters. Their dynamic makes the story more interesting and brings a lot of emotional and surprising moments. The characters feel real and well developed, which makes everything even more engaging.

The story is full of action and unexpected twists. And the ending—wow, it was crazy! I didn’t see it coming at all, and now I really want to read the next book.

A great book that stayed in my mind even after finishing it.

Book 2 of the Durand Supernatural Academy series. For maximum enjoyment read the books in series order.

'Joining Durand Supernatural Academy was supposed to be simple.
Find the rebels. Prove herself to the Hunters’ Guild. Don’t fall for the enemy.
Jackie failed spectacularly.'

The characters were very complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building continues to excel and impress. All in all a great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend.

Grab a copy, kick back and enjoy!.

A good read

I actually really enjoyed the storyline, I feel like Jac's feelings feelings are real and she was really traumatised when she was younger and that's why she so driven with her hunter work. I really like that her and Kyren are taking their time to process their feelings about their families and if their feelings for each other are stronger or not. I still love Tate he's just a beautiful werewolf and just what Jac needs. I really liked the ending, I feel like Jac needed her family to give her a bit of a reality check because she was starting to not take care about herself. Can't wait for the next book 💜

Jackie is back in book two of the Durand Supernatural Academy series, and this book picks up where book one left off. I am loving this new series, and getting Jackie's parents, from the House of Durand, as side characters is a definite plus. The writing is well done, the characters are interesting, and this paranormal reverse harem is filled with mystery, drama, angst, steam, and so much more, making this a great read. After that ending, I look forward to reading the next book to see what happens next. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

ARC Review
Pride of a Vampire
By Erin Bedford
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The way I'm 100% invested in this series and all the books keep ending on cliffhangers 😂

Jack has gone through so much, from being outed as a Durand in the last book , to being abandoned by Kyran and learning some new things about herself, and all the cryptic messages... girl needs a break

Thankfully, she has Julian and Tate to help keep her safe..thats if she let's them 😉

This is book 2 of the Durand Supernatural Academy and is a why choose. Exceptionally written, I was hooked from the very first line of page 1. Ms. Bedford has created something amazing here.

The characters were intriguing and in-depth, the storyline was unique and brilliantly done, and there was great world building. The character chemistry was incredible as well. I truly enjoyed every page of this book, and I can't wait for more!

Book two and it is a fantastic addition to this incredible series. Exciting, intense and bursting with action, you find yourself drawn in from the first page and on the edge of your seat. Our characters are complicated and intriguing, the storyline complex and well paced and the world building continues to enthral. Twists and turns grab you as the author draws you in and that ending ….. well I wasn’t expecting that. Looking forward to the next book!

Let me explain. I DEVOURED and loved the first book. I was sooo excited to read this one. However, I dont feel like much of anything happened and it was really short.

Still a good series and I will DEFINITELY be reading book three. This one just sort of didnt stack up to that first book.

All that being said - this author is well written and the banter snaps. I just found this author and am sooo going to dive into her other books!

This book has so much development that the first one didn’t and it adds to the plot beautifully!! I didn’t realise the book was finished until it was! So glad there is a third and final book to complete this trilogy, but I do have many many questions that I doubt will answered by the author, as these questions are deep and evolve around the universe of these books. Cannot wait to start the next one🥰✨

The story pulled me in right from the start, and I really enjoyed the characters and the overall vibe of the book.

It kept me interested the whole time, and I didn’t want to put it down. Now I’m just sitting here impatiently waiting for the third book to be released because I need to know what happens next.

Definitely recommend if you’re into vampire romance with a story that keeps you hooked.

I really enjoyed book one. This one didn’t quite hit for me. Not a lot happened to advance the story and felt like the miscommunications just piled up. One thing guaranteed to take me out of a story is spelling and grammar issues (unless I’m ARC reading and know to expect that). This wasn’t an ARC and it could really benefit from editing and a re-release.

Great book, looking forward to the third book. Lots of drama and spice. Love how protective and possessive they all are of Jack but wish she thought through things more. Can’t wait to see how Jack’s story ends. Great writing and good flow

Not bad as far as cliff hangers go. I really like Jack's story. Her guys are great. I love her mom and dad's still being in the story, even as side characters. I can't wait to find out who's tormenting her. I also can't wait for her and her guys to be togeand settled (fingers crossed)

Nothing happened in this book. The fml is extremely dumb falling for obvious traps. During this entire supernatural book series, not even one werewolf shifted when one is a main character. This just feels like a human college book instead of a paranormal one

Again so many twists and turns

Happy that the epilog was incorrect about the series being incomplete and unavailable but hard to jump from one cliffhanger to another. However very invested in seeing what happens with this story and the characters
