Again and again and again, Elsa continues to brings us a fantastic tales of mystery, horror and suspense!

The Wail Beside us is the fourth installment of the Twisted Truths Series, and is easily one of my favourites! This story follows our protagonist Shannie as she tries to uncover the hidden truths to a refurbished hotel she has moved into, which has slowly and terrifyingly been haunting her.

This was such an eerie and unsettling read that had me hooked from the beginning, leaving readers invested in the lore and mystery surrounding characters and the past. Elsa continues to have a wonderful way with words, perfectly mixing true crime and horror, catching readers attentions!

This installment was a wonderful edition as we had a little crossover from a previous Twisted Truths book which was a fun little surprise for fans! I cannot recommend this series enough. It's fast paced, addicting and extremely enjoyable!

Thank you so much to the author for an arc of The Wail Beside Us. All views and opinions are mine and have been left voluntarily.

This series has been so good and book 4 did not disappoint. Another page-turner with all the great storytelling, dynamic characters, and true crime meets horror that I've been adoring in this series. I live that the book includes multiple narrators and story lines that occur in different decades. When Shannie moves into an apartment (formerly a hotel), she quickly realizes things might not be as they seem. Tenants that seem to disappear, screaming that nobody else seems to hear, and doors that lock themselves...Shannie isn't sure what is going on. But she will soon find out, things aren't always as they seem. This story was such a page turner, I stayed up late to finish it.

This was an amazing story. I loved how it weaves true huntings into a tale that takes them into a whole new direction. In this one, Shannie moves into her apartment, that was formerly a hotel. And upon settling in, she starts to notice strange things happening. Screams that come from nowhere in particular, movements, doors locking themselves, and more. This immediately pulled me in and had me completely engrossed.i loved how descriptive it was. It really made me feel like I was there witnessing these things right alongside Shannie. I’ve been totally enjoying this series and I can’t wait to read the next one.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It grabbed me from the very beginning and kept me interested and reading until the last page was read. This book moves along at a great pace that is perfect for the flow and direction of the story. It has interesting characters that you want to know more about and you want to know what happens to them. This is a must read book that needs to be on your TBR list, there is no doubt about it. It is a must read.

Elsa does it again! I love to read these twisted truths. She has a gift where she can take a true crime story of the past and meld it with current day events. They are super fun and easy to read , the history and lore lend to captivating storytelling and you’ll definitely want to add this to your TBR.
