The next book of the series! The Hunter’s Book 21:
The threat of total destruction hangs over the world. The world that has become my new home. And worst of all, it isn’t monsters from another world threatening humanity. Not at all! It’s humans themselves trying to kill their own!
I can’t say that’s anything new to me. More than that, I even know what to do in these situations. I’ll start by just eliminating the ringleaders...
Once again, Xander keeps poking the bear and saving the day. He even gets a special present.
I liked the Korden and Goddard story lines and had to smile about Boerbolis ginseng mishap.
Criticism and comments
The so called "Holy Roman Empire"was neither holy nor roman.. And was definitely not ruled by Roman emperors.. In fact, the Empire hardly ever controlled Rome or the province surrounding it, Latium.
"the proud Romans had crossed all of Eurasia," No they didn't. Not even as traders ( unless you count Marco Polo, who was Venetian..) and lived over 600 years after the fall of the real Western Roman empire..
I received a review copy of this book. The Hunter's Code carries on, badgers get up more mischief, the baron gets into (and out of) trouble, Empress Elizabeth probably face palms several times, and the world comes under attack, but what else is new? (Ok, the empress doesn't actually face palm, but she probably should). In any case, very well done piece of the continuing story, and I look forward to the next installment in the series.
Zander fights the Chinese , Zander fights the scurge , Zanders strength grow as does his chosen warriors , poorest book so far , still good but it didn't really advance the story.
I think every reader needs to start doing this to force authors to write a quick Recap chapter, which readers can skip if they remember, and those who don't won't stop reading the series.
This is a great series. I don't want to think of it ending. Just keep making more. Go to his children, his wives, the Paladins , anything to keep this world alive.
