Another book where they’re wolves, but they’re ashamed of their nudity. Every time they shift back their nude, but they’re ashamed to look at others naked. Makes no sense.
So many continuity errors.
On a 21st birthday she’s sitting at the river crying holding the necklace with the “S” pendent wondering what his name is and then within 15 minutes when she approached him before he disappears she says the name is Soren. But just 15 minutes ago she didn’t know what his name was.
When she was six, she saw him in wolf form when in the forest.
However, when she’s 21 she thinks he might be a vampire. How is that possible after seeing him in Wolf form?
Since when does a bachelor in the woods have everything on hand to make lasagna? I don’t even have everything I need to make lasagna right now.
When she finds a handkerchief that he gave her for her birthday in his cottage that she didn’t mention on her 21st birthday, she says, “a now dry handkerchief”. When was it wet?
There are so many things that are missing. I can’t find a book one, but they keep referencing all this history without giving you details. About Paisleys parents (what did her parents do?), about what Zaylan’s dad did to her mom (what did his dad do?)
Soren puts on a condom before he masterbated watching her get off. Who does that?
The author has an immaturity to the writing. Like using the phrase, “to the max” and “popping my cherry”.
There are times if you continue reading certain things are revealed, but it feels like you have to be in a constant state of confusion waiting and hoping it’s finally revealed. By chapter 26 we still don’t know why her being a wolf rather than human complicate things. We know that she has to die to be with him, but he doesn’t want her to die. However, when her name comes up on the list, the brothers show up ready to console Soren and say that the reapers are in mourning. But I thought she was supposed to die to be with him. Why would they be there to console him? And why he fears his wolf taking her soul? It appears that she has to live in purgatory if she’s a wolf or human. But the book finishes without answers and there’s no way I’m going to book two and three.
The entire book, the author likes to you to stay in a state of confusion and I’m not a fan.

Late review from last year 2025.
Zayla is a young child who gets lost in the woods. There is a shadow that keeps watch over her, protecting her. Zayla always remembers that experience and occasionally has the feeling of being watched.
Zayla is very close to her family, especially her father. Being the only daughter and having twin brothers is not easy on a girl.
The mysterious presence makes himself known but never really seen? Until, Zayla figures out a way to lure the shadow out of hiding.
Who is the mysterious shadow? Zayla knows that he was the one who watched her when lost as a child.

Interesting premise, definitely needs work - too much telling and not showing - and when it does show, it's juvenile dialogue. Not a fan of cliffhangers, so breaking it into three books is guaranteed I won't go any further. This made it onto a recommended list, not sure just how it did.

Yes I really did finish book one in 1/2 a day. It’s just that good and well rainy days are perfect for this!

Infinity was a great book. I just wish I could read even more.
