Love is definitely not for sale.

Mia Russo

I was born to cause men pain. From the moment I popped out, kicking and screaming, and my own father cut his finger attempting to snip my umbilical cord.

Since then, there’s never been a man I couldn’t topple. Certainly not in the world of high-end, luxury real estate where I’ve made a name for myself.

Until my sister, Natalia, called in a favor.

Find a home for Angelo Duran. Her pain in the ass brother-in-law, with his Bronx-born accent and blue-collar discipline. He may very well be the worst man I’ve ever had the displeasure of knowing. The brief stint together in our siblings’ wedding party proved that. Plus, Angelo is nothing like my normal clientele of cushy billionaires and trust fund royalty.

If I can find the man I hate the most, the home of his dreams, I can do anything.

Angelo Duran

After closing the doors on the contracting business that was my father’s life’s work in New York, I expected moving down to Florida might be the perfect change of pace.

Holy shit, I was wrong. Not only did I go from making my own rules to working for my militant older brother, Mateo; my parents only gave me one month of staying in their spare room to find a new place to live.

Now, I’m stuck at the whims of Mia Russo. The most pompous brat of a woman I’ve ever dealt with. A real, silver spoon rich girl, who’s never struggled a day in her life. Our brief, regretful history from a weekend of loose inhibitions in Vegas makes the arrangement so much more painfully awkward.

Regardless, the only woman I’ve ever taken orders from is my mother. It’s going to stay that way.

This series never fails to make me cackle.
Top tier rom coms.

This was a novella but it didn’t feel like it.
Wasn’t rushed or overtly spicy.
It had plot and development.
And everything a “full” book would have.

Angelo & Mia
His older brother is married to her younger sister
He’s blue collar from the Bronx
She’s a real estate agent (for the rich) in Florida
There’s enemies to lovers banter gold

I straight loved Angelo.

And this honestly could be read as a standalone, but the whole series again is comedy gold.

“On the Market” by Karissa Kinword

5⭐/5⭐
4🌶/5🌶

“There was a magnetism about Angelo I couldn’t ignore. Convincing myself to stop things before they started was easy, but staying away, not allowing him to wiggle back in, was another story.”

Say ‘hello’ to your new favorite romance novella! “On the Market” ticks all the boxes for a perfect contemporary romcom to kick off the summer: it’s funny and full of hilarious banter, the slow burn is perfection, the tension builds and builds and BUILDS, plus the smut is hot as hell.

“On the Market” picks up shortly after the end of “For Pleasure or Worse”, with Mateo’s younger brother and parents moving to Coconut Creek, Florida. Angelo has the difficult task of finding a house in one month, along with going to school part-time and training for his new job alongside his brother. His hands are full, and he needs help from an expert. Mia would do anything for her younger sister Natalia, even helping her brutish brother-in-law find the perfect house. Maybe if she pinches her nose the month will go by faster. But as soon as the two are forced to team up, old feelings surge to the surface, and new feelings leave them both confused as to what will happen when the month is over.

GUYS. This is my new favorite Dirty Delta couple; I adore Mia and Angelo! We get such a fun tease of their dynamic in the previous book, when they’re doing the scavenger hunt in Las Vegas. They’re constantly goading each other, but it’s as if they’re speaking their own language in the process. They both know what they’re *really* saying when they’re throwing out insults and teases.

There’s a certain type of maturity and emotional vulnerability seen between Mia and Angelo that I really appreciate. They want a very similar type of life, and the aesthetics might not match 100%, the foundation is there. Seeing Mia let down her guarding gradually, as Angelo proves he’s always going to show up for her, made my heart melt. These are two people that are undeniably perfect for each other, even if outsiders don’t understand.

Mia is a black cat FMC to the nth degree, and I love every single instance of prickliness. And Angelo is a subtle softie, down SO BAD for Mia, he’s willing to take whatever she gives.

Chapter eleven was my absolute favorite; I was swooning, I was sighing, I was blushing. Ugh, this book is why I love romance novels, and why Karissa Kinword is a top tier author.

You don’t necessarily need to read any other Dirty Delta book in order to enjoy this story, but why not revisit the entire series? Every book is five-star-perfection, and I cannot recommend it enough.

✨ On the Market by Karissa Kinword ✨

Thank you so much for the ARC!

I loved this novella! Karissa has quickly become one of those authors whose writing style just hits for me. She has such a natural way of creating characters you want to root for and stories that pull you in from the very beginning. Her books have become an instant buy for me. And yes. Even though I received the ARC I also preordered the book as well.

Even though this was a shorter read, it still had all the things I love — great banter, tension, and that addictive “just one more chapter” feeling. The enemies to lovers was true enemies to lovers. They HATED each other.

Also… can we talk about the fact that Karissa is still indie?! Because her writing quality, storytelling, and overall vibe are seriously on the same level as so many traditionally published authors. Honestly even better IMO.

Highly recommend adding this one to your TBR 💕 you won’t regret it. Or any of her books for that matter!
