Hope for the Heart of the Homeschool Mom: Encouragement for the Days When Sanity is Limited
Hope. Encouragement. Sanity. On any number of homeschooling days, I've needed all three. It's not that homeschooling is an unwanted chore. Homeschooling my children is one of my greatest joys. It's a privilege. I'm so incredibly blessed by this undertaking.
And I'm challenged. I'm pulled. I'm stretched. I'm growing. I'm finding my reheated coffee in the microwave at 2 p.m. wondering where the morning went. Trying hard to soak up the sweet and sacred moments with these souls and miss stepping on the Lego pile in the process.
Friend, I'm sure you've felt the same.
The pages of Hope for the Heart of the Homeschool Mom is a collection of encouragement to prayerfully strengthen your soul for this God-given journey. A journey that's beyond stretching and beyond worth it.
I love reading Jamerrill's blog and watching her vlogs. She is down to earth and a great example for other homeschooling moms. This book was just icing on the cake. Her no-nonsense take on this homeschooling journey is refreshing, and I love that she makes God the center of it all. This book is great for the new or veteran homeschool mom.
Although it seems clear this is a string of big posts made into book, it is still encouraging. It is still worth reading if you are a homeschooling mom.
I really enjoyed this book. While it does seem to be a collection of blog posts and not completely brand new content, I still found each chapter to be encouraging and helpful - that's exactly what I expected from it. I recommend this for any Christian homeschool parent; sometimes you just need to know you're not alone!
I loved this book. It is like sitting down with a cup of tea with a best friend who empathizes with everything a homeschooling mom goes through. I strongly recommend this book.
This book is like a lighthouse on the sometimes rough seas of homeschooling. As mothers we need to be reminded that we are walkin g a holy path as we learn to serve our children.
Short. Snacky. Not encouraging like Jen Hatmaker but ok. Reads like a lot of blog posts stuck together. Probably more helpful for new homeschoolers than those who have been at it for awhile.
This is a nice read. We've homeschooled for a very long time and this was a breath of fresh air. I hope new and long time homeschooler alike will read this and be blessed by the encouragement.
