I am a creator at heart. Whether that’s building a business, crafting something with my hands, or turning lived experiences into stories that refuse to stay quiet.
My writing style is direct with minimal fluff. I struggle to create thick books, because I want my words to have impact without being buried in gentleness. I generally write Non-Fiction and Woman's Fiction, but might dabble into more popular genres in the future.
When I'm not writing, I'm usually sneaking in creative time while the world sleeps, surrounded by half-finished projects, running my Cricut business (Make Me Designs), or plotting my next snack break; pink Monster drinks, M&Ms, Jelly Babies, and salt-and-vinegar or chutney-flavoured puffs are my fuel of choice.
I believe healing isn’t linear, growth isn’t always pretty, and sometimes the bravest thing you can do is become curious about the voice in your own head. I write books that make you just uncomfortable enough to want to heal.
My motto: I don't want to be your tissue, I want to be the reason you need one.
I am so honored and humbled to have received an ARC e-book Copy from the author.
This book resonated with me so deeply and I am sure it will for many people. The journey Sandra takes is not an easy one, but Natasha takes the ugly, harmful, intrusive thoughts we all have about ourselves and guides you through it in a gentle story.
It was a whirlwind of emotions, I could see myself in Sandra, in many ways. It made me sad but also gave me a feeling of I am not alone. We all go through this. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Take the chances, be scared, we get through it.
It is not some self help book, it is a story of Sandra's journey to discover herself and realize she is more than what she is allowing herself to be. Reflection(less) was a lovely, thoughtful read.
I read Reflection(Less) during its earlier beta phase, and even then, the story was emotionally layered, thoughtful, and deeply impactful. It’s not my usual genre, but I wanted to branch out, and I’m so glad I did.
The title perfectly captures the essence of the story. Natasha van Graan’s writing style made me pause and truly reflect on the character, her growth, the struggles she faced, and the way she worked through and overcame them. This book feels like a healing journey — not only for the character, but for the reader and perhaps even the author herself.
Beautifully written, heartfelt, and filled with depth. Thank you for allowing me into this story and for creating characters who feel so real and multi-dimensional.
I was privileged to be able to read this as an ARC reader. At first I was a bit sceptic because I don't usually do self growth books, but was intrigued because it was mixed with fiction.
Needless to say, I was definitely crying and reflecting on my own life, in all the right ways. Sandra's journey was raw and relatable and a MUST Read. It's that perfect blend of storytelling with a big dash of reflecting on what really matters in life.
Mental Health is very important to me, and this book helped me see things I otherwise, missed before. I do have her other books on my next read as it dives deeper.
I finished this book in one sitting and ended up staring at the ceiling, just taking a moment for myself. There's no explaining how much of myself I see in Sandra. How much I relate to her myself. Natasha v Graan did a beautiful job in writing this book. It was realistic and honest. The story and how the FMC grew through the novel was inspiring and insightful. I found myself unable to put it down. Reflection(less) was so much of a reflection of my own mind that I found myself tearing up and just thinking... I absolutely recommend this book to anyone who might feel like they're not seen. I'm absolutely grateful to have had this opportunity to ARC read this amazing novel!
DELIGHFUL!!! I was a Beta reader for the more polished version of this book, and what an honor!
I truly enjoyed this book so much!! It was not only thought provoking, but I could relate to what Sandra went through in so many ways. I was quite in awe about what she did to start her healing process, that was very unique, and to me, so original!
