rose's work has this magical way of transporting you into her world, even if your life has never looked like hers. her trauma becomes yours, her emotions feel like your own, you cry as if you wrote these words yourself and lived that life. with that, her work can be difficult to stomach — binging her book can take a toll on you. it takes immeasurable talent to be capable of such a thing, and has become an increasingly rare thing in a world where chatGPT is writing the bestsellers. i will never be able to read her books without bawling my eyes out.

i always think there’s no possible way that rose can outdo herself but here we are again, she has completely outdone any work she has ever written. per usual my heart was broken and sewn back together and i was left feeling hugged and related to and not so alone.

There has never been a stranger that I connect to more than Rose. I so appreciate her putting these words out into the world because it has helped me put them into words for myself. Of course 5 stars and I cried at least twice.

Holy wow…. This author has really helped me with healing (even just a little) and facing motherhood in spite of how we were raised
