When the devil shows up in tight Levi's, how can you resist?
Jade Jameson would quite happily sell her soul for a better life. To her surprise, the universe takes her seriously and sends a handsome devil with an offer. But there’s a catch: sealing the deal requires more than a handshake.
Ever the opportunist, Jade negotiates a workaround, picturing cocktails and a resort with patchy Wi-Fi. Instead, she lands in the 1980s - no internet, no smartphone, and an alarming amount of neon. Not to mention having to juggle new flatmates and a job she never applied for.
Sebastian Burns has a bad habit of letting people off the hook, and Jade is his latest fiasco. Demoted and desperate to earn back Lucifer’s favour, he knows he should be focused on scoring souls - not getting attached to a sassy brunette who pushes his buttons.
When he shows up looking sinfully good in stonewash and armed with survival tips for the ‘80s, Jade’s walls start to crumble. This sexy devil might just be the reason her life takes a turn for the better - but how do you plan a happily ever after with a man from Hell?

Falling head over heels for the devil has never looked more divine! This book is like a box of chocolates - it's got a little bit of everything, from comedy to supernatural suspense and romance. I was totally hooked and giggling like a lunatic the entire time. Jade's hilarious antics and dialogue had me in stitches. And then there's Sebastian - well, he's the devil, so what more can I say? Things get complicated between Jade and Sebastian, and she's faced with a choice that'll change everything. I really liked this book!
Thanks to Book Sirens for sending me an advanced copy to read and review.
Just finished reading an advanced copy of a book that was just released on April 2nd called, My Devil Wears Denim. This is about Jade, she isn't happy with her life so she has a meeting with a charming life coach named Sebastian. But this charming devil of a man is not exactly a life coach, he offers her a deal for a better life, it's a deal with a devil. Sebastian is just trying to get back on good terms with his boss, so when Jade tries to negotiate a trial deal into what she thinks she will be a relaxing tropical resort, instead Sebastian sends her back to the 1980s. She is thrown into a new life with new roommates, boy band posters on her walls, neon everything, corded landlines, dramatic makeup, big hair trends, and a new job writing about boy bands for a magazine. As Jade navigates this new life, with pop in visits from Sebastian because he can't seem to stay away from her, Jade starts to see herself actually having an opportunity for a better life. And she realizes despite who he is and who he works for, Sebastian has become a huge part of this happy new life for her. But when the trail is over, how could Jade and Sebastian have a future together when they're from different realms. This was such a fun and nostalgic paranormal romcom! I felt like I was transported to the 80s while reading this and I loved every minute of it! Sebastian is flirty and charming, but I love that Jade doesn't instantly swoon like he expects, she is smart and bold with a quick wit that keeps Sebastian on his toes. The push-and-pull dynamic between them was written so well, their banter was absolutely hilarious, their undeniable chemistry was sweet and spicy, and the storyline itself was so totally captivating that I couldn't put this down! I loved this book and I'm so excited for the next book! 🩵📚
Thank you to the author for this ARC of My Devil Wears Denim, in exchange for an honest review.
I devoured this story in two days! It is witty, funny and charming!
Jade finds herself needing a life coach. She meets the charismatic Sebastian to help her find her way. When Sebastian offers her a once in a lifetime deal, Jade can't pass up the opportunity to change her destiny while fighting her attraction to the handsome devil.
Sebastian agrees to help Jade as he tries to redeem himself to his boss. But when his attraction grows, he finds himself unable to complete the assignment. Placing Jade in a path that cannot be altered, risking losing her forever.
This book is utterly charming and sexy, pulling you into the 80's era where music and fashion are the highlight throughout the story. Angela's stories are filled with rich and vibrant characters whose distinct voices and personalities drive her stories forward. Bringing the readers along for the fun ride!
If you love supernatural beings, witty banter and the 80's, this book is for you! Happy Reading!
Thank you to Angela for having on her ARC team again!
I never met an Angela Pearse book that I didn’t love, and this is no exception
Take Tom Ellis’ Lucifer, all smarm, charm, and smouldering sex appeal, and send him to the 80s. Boom, you have Sebastian. And he’s going to change Jade’s life… for a price. Just one itty, bitty deal with a devil.
This book pulls you so far into the 80s with Jade that you can practically smell the cigarette smoke and Aqua Net hairspray. It’s nostalgic, steamy, and tear jerking all in one, and is absolutely going to be a re-read for me.
This was a super fun, spicy story. I love Angela's books. They're so fluid and easy to read, and this one was no exception.
This story was a whirlwind that lands in the 80s in the attempt to change Jade's dull and unfulfilling life. She's made a deal with a devil, and well, she has no idea what that means.... Meet Sebastian. OMG, I loved him. He was so ridiculously vain. I must've laughed out loud dozens of times with his witty banter and shocking charm.
I loved how the story shifted midway and the outcome was what my rom-com heart needed.
I'm not sure what exactIy I was expecting starting this book but this was the best fun & spicy I had in a while ! I'm not the biggest fan of time jump usually; but here it worked out great with this setup. Definitely one wild ride of a story 🙌
Thank you to the author and BookSirens for the ARC 🙏
This book was so much fun. I absolutely loved these characters. Their banter was so much fun. I spent a good deal laughing. When Sebastian tossed Jade into the 80s, I was excited. Talk about nostalgia. This was sweet and spicy. A genuinely fun paranormal romance.
Angela Pearse has did it again! My Devil Wears Denim is a fun and steamy book. It made me blush quite a few times! The characters were detailed. The time jump was fun and kept a good pace to the story. I highly recommend this book!
I loved the story line, but as soon as I realised the name of the mmc I had to think of a Sebastian in a film because my son has the same name and it didn't feel right so I picked Sebastian Stan from Winter Soldier.
Angela is one of my go to author's that I would read anything she writes.
This is the first book I've read written by this authos and it's about Jade, a woman living a mediocre live. She hired a live coach that happend a devil whose way of collecting souls is by having sex. So he (Sebastian)offers Jade a deal but she refuses. Of course she's attracted by him (because he changed his corporal form to a one that she fancies) and instead of having sex, she gives him a massage and that let her living in London '80 for a week. Yeah... I don't want to spoil some twist in the narrative, but the mess keeps going. It’s a chaotic arrange of concepts. She’s a witty writer, with fun sentences with puns but in a messy history. I know is paranormal / fantasy reading but the mess and the plot holes like” why is she/he doing that ? The sense that “out of nowhere “ things happen is always present. She’s fun to read but the chaos and the rush is not my cup of tea. In fact, I had more than once the DNF choice over my head (last one at 20%). But I'd always rather finish them. The way she writes is fresh and witty, but I had an ubiquitous feeling of things happening "out of nowhere". But not everything is messy, the main characters sense of humor is fresh and made me smile.
Tropes you can find in this book: - Paranormal romance - Time travel novella - grumpy/sunshine (he's the sunshine, a sunshine devil) - Dual 1st person POV - set in London '80 This book is an open-door one. Not because there are lots os spicy scenes, more of the tone of the narrative and dialogues.
My ratings: 2/5⭐ 1,5/5🌶️
I’ve received this book as an ARC and I’d like to thank the author, Angela Pearse and her team at BookSirens for letting me read this book in advance and allow me to give my honest opinion.

The author's writing had me hooked and I kept reading until the end as I wanted to know what happened. The story was cute and easy to follow with a great cast of characters. I loved Jade's character and I enjoyed following her journey through the story. Overall, a brilliant novel that I highly recommend to other readers. I look forward to reading more by the author. 🩵 Thank you to the author, Angela Pearse for my arc ebook copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
This was my first Angela Pearse book so I can’t compare it to her others but it makes me look forward to whatever is next for the London Magic series. 🪄🔮 And now I’ll be digging deeper into her catalogue. I really enjoyed the FMC Jade and MMC-cum-Devil Sebastian. Though I’m giving it 4 stars because I’d have liked to see more intimate scenes occur between them to make the ending feel more earned. Without spoiling things, I hope, I just felt they needed to be further along as a couple to justify the tough choice Jade makes. That being said and out of the way, what we do get in the way of intimacy sure is spicy!! And somehow sweet, too! Who knew a devil could have a golden retriever or cinnamon roll center. Pearse introduces us to just such a character. And it’s funny! I laughed so hard at the wit, self deprecation, and scenes set in the 80’s. If you’re a child of, you should get a kick out of it too. 👩🏼🎤 From crimped and teased hair to neon-colored clothes and tank tops made of netting, I just about died laughing when I pictured it all as I read. And boy did I relate at times — I mean I’d also lose my cool seeing Annie Lennox at a party. That’s just goals. I wasn’t looking for a steamy, devil/human, time travel, magical romance when I saw an ARC of this available but I sure am glad I requested it anyway. 😈 Because this was just the literally laugh out loud romance that I needed. I’m leaving this review voluntarily in the hopes others like me will find their way to “My Devil Wears Denim” for the LOL ride they’re in need of as well. ❤️
Devilish Charm, Denim Dreams, and an ’80s Twist I Didn’t Want to Leave 😈👖✨ My Devil Wears Denim by Angela Pearson is pure chaos in the best way possible… like making a deal with the devil and accidentally landing in a neon-soaked time capsule with a killer soundtrack and zero Wi-Fi. Jade is the kind of heroine you can’t help but root for, bold, sarcastic, and just reckless enough to bargain with fate itself. Watching her get dropped into the 1980s felt like tossing a modern woman into a glittery fever dream, and I loved every second of it. The culture shock alone? Delicious. And then there’s Sebastian… the devil in denim himself. Equal parts temptation and trouble, he struts onto the page with charm, tension, and just enough vulnerability to make you question everything you thought you knew about deals with demons. His dynamic with Jade is electric, full of banter, slow-burning tension, and that irresistible push-and-pull that keeps you flipping pages way past bedtime. The romance simmers perfectly against the backdrop of time-travel chaos and devilish stakes, blending humor, heart, and heat without missing a beat. It’s playful, a little rebellious, and surprisingly emotional when it counts. If you love sassy heroines, morally gray love interests, and a romance that dances on the edge of danger with a retro twist, this one will absolutely steal your soul… and you won’t even want it back. 💫
Jade's new life coach is actually a demon, and she's more than willing to take him up on the promise of a new, improved life. However, when she decides to not go for the full payment option, she ends up in the 1980s with a new job that is shockingly close to home. Demon Sebastian is already in hot water for a series of mistakes, and his new attraction to Jade is seriously hampering his ability to collect souls. When he's unable to just leave Jade alone in her new 1980's experience, the two start making decisions with deep ramifications for both their futures.
This is such a cute read. Jade is a mess, but she comes by it honestly through her family. She doesn't want to lose her soul, and she does her best to trick Sebastian. He really is the ideal of her perfect man, though, and she soon finds herself more taken by him than she'd wish. But if she's going to lose her soul, she's going to change her family's life for the better. Her tricky tenacity plays well with Sebastian's grey morality. His genuine bewilderment as his continued attraction to Jade adds a level of humor and irony to the tale.
A fun, quick read that is the perfect amount of humor and romance.

In this lighthearted fantasy rom com, luckless twentysomething Jade strikes a bargain with low-level demon Sebastian. She asks for a taste of a better life but is surprised to find herself instead cast into the 1980s.
Despite the risk of getting attached to a woman he's increasingly drawn to, Sebastian sticks around to help Jade find her way through the logistical tangles of this era - and, as Jade crosses paths with her own family history, the emotional tangles as well. But Jade doesn't realize that the terms of demonic agreements still apply and that by getting involved with a demon she's playing with (hell)fire.
My Devil Wears Denim is a quick, absorbing read. There's just enough emotional ballast to keep the story grounded without ever feeling heavy. The fantasy elements, in particular, are very light, and Sebastian - a demon whose job is sending people to Hell - is basically a charming, misunderstood used car salesman. As someone who enjoys deep worldbuilding, I occasionally found it frustrating, but it kept the story moving, and ultimately the payoff was a sweet and thoughtful ending.
Recommended for fans of cozy fantasy and humorous, low-angst romantic comedy. 4.5 stars.
[I received an advance copy from the author. Opinions are my own.]
3.75/5 This was such a fun, chaotic ride with a premise that instantly hooks you—because honestly, a devil in tight Levi’s? Say less. The storyline moves fast, almost too fast at times, but it works in keeping the energy high and the tone playful Watching her get tossed into the 1980s with zero preparation is both hilarious and oddly charming, especially as she stumbles through neon fashion, analog life, and unexpected responsibilities. Sebastian completely steals scenes. The whole “bad at being bad” devil angle adds a nice twist to the usual trope, and his dynamic with Jade is where the story really shines. Their chemistry is snappy, flirty, and layered with just enough emotional tension to keep things interesting. One of the standout elements is the twist involving the timeline. It adds a clever wrinkle to what could have been a straightforward supernatural romance and gives the story a bit more depth than expected. That said, the pacing sometimes rushes past moments that could have used more development—especially when it comes to emotional stakes. it’s a light, entertaining read with a strong central duo, a fun fish-out-of-water setup, and just enough twists to keep you engaged. “My Devil Wears Denim” is such a cute, fun romance—super easy to get into and perfect if you’re in the mood for something light. The tone stays upbeat, the writing is smooth, and the characters are really likable, which made it an enjoyable experience overall.
That said, the pacing felt a bit too fast for me. Things move pretty quickly into the bigger moments, which makes the book fly by, but it also made it a little harder for me to fully connect at times. I kept wishing the story would slow down just a bit and let certain moments breathe, particularly when it comes to Jade and Sebastian’s relationship. I did like them together—their chemistry is there, and their dynamic is genuinely enjoyable—but everything develops so quickly that it didn’t feel as deep or layered as it could have been.
Even so, I was still invested and had a good time reading it. It definitely delivers on being a feel-good, easy romance. I just think with a bit more depth and a slower pace, it could have been even more memorable. As it is, it’s still a sweet, charming read.

I thought this one was cute overall and an easy, enjoyable read. There were definitely some elements I really liked, especially the humor sprinkled throughout, which always adds a lot for me.
One thing that stood out right away was how early the spice started. That’s always a bit of a disconnect for me personally, just because I have a hard time buying into that level of intimacy without much emotional buildup first, but I know that’s more of a preference thing than anything else.
I did really enjoy the male lead. There was something very sweet about how completely distracted he became because of his feelings for her. It added a softness to his character that I appreciated and made their dynamic more engaging.
I also liked how the author touched on generational differences in relationships and connection. It added an extra layer to the story that made it feel a little more grounded and relatable.
Overall, a fun and light read with some sweet moments, even if a few aspects didn’t fully land for me.

Going into this book I had high expectations because I enjoyed the author’s previous work, so while this story was entertaining and sweet, I found myself wishing for a few more emotional or unexpected moments that would have made it a five star read for me.
The plot alone is enough to spark curiosity: a life coach with excellent online reviews who secretly happens to be a devil collecting souls through deals.
Jade our FMC wants to improve her life. I found her relatable, specially when she felt stuck and unsure. Sebastian, our devil MMC isn’t simply the villain of the story. Their dynamic was funny and very hot. The story leans to romantic comedy and also touches themes like second chances and the ripple effect.
I especially enjoyed the nostalgic elements that bring a unique perspective to Jade’s journey.
It’s a clever and I enjoyed story with its blend of humor, romance, and a touch of supernatural chaos.
Firstly, I should like to say thank you for my ARC of this book. I gave this one 4.5 stars rounded down to 4 for Goodreads. I loved the Fanged and Flirty series so was happy to jump at a chance to read this one. I totally enjoyed this book and devoured it in about 5 hours of reading but spread over a few days because of other commitments. I enjoyed the story and the writing. Loved the main characters. I think what took it down a star for me was Jade getting hit on by her original dad. The banter between the main characters was wonderfully written. So many outrageous and laugh out loud moments. I got some real kicks remembering the 80s and I loved Wham so much back in the day especially George Michael. He was lost to us too soon. If there is another book to follow this one I am excited to read it. I really hope it will feature a little more of Jade and Sebastian. Check this book out and I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I did and please also read the Fanged and Flirty series which hilarious too. Angela has perfected the art of fantasy romantic comedy.
Reading this paranormal rom-com was a real treat—the perfect read for GenX And anyone who wants to experience this way of life. It was a sentimental trip back in time to the ’80s, with a *Back to the Future* vibe and countless references to fashion trends, music, and brands that send a shiver down my spine these days (except for the music) 😂 The well-written plot is fast-paced and entertaining, full of laughs, twists, witty banter, some steamy love scenes, and a whole cast of likable characters—including the charming devil Sebastian Burns who fails in his quest and falls in love with his victim, and the sassy heroine Jade Jameson who is dissatisfied with her life and willing to sell her soul for a better one, but is transported back to the 80s and eventually falls in love with the devil by her side…
If you like offbeat romantic comedies, time travel stories, appealing characters, '80s vibes, humor, heart, and heat, you're sure to love this book!
I received a free ARC of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and left voluntarily.
I was lucky enough to receive an advanced reader copy of My devil wears denim written by Angela Pearse.
I’m glad to say that if you’re into light supernatural rom-com trope, you’ll be served just fine. 😏
We are quickly introduced to Jade, our FMC. Her life isn’t going well between relashionships, family and job, so she seeks the help of a renown life coach, Sebastian.
What could possibly go wrong ?
The sharp banter between the two of them as well as the moments shared between the characters are delightful. The deal didn’t go as planned for both of them so it leads to a funny and surprising story.
We always love some spicy scenes sprinkled here and there. I was pleased to read some but be aware, it’s not just smut throughout the book.
Well written and well done! I will surely be looking into other books from this author. I really enjoyed reading My devil wears denim. 😈
This book was a scorcher and I was all about the burn. It has a little bit of everything I love in a book. It’s got loads of great banter and humor. It has suspense and drama. Of course there’s romance and spice. This story took me from giggling to swooning to fanning my face to cringing. The emotional ride I was on was definitely worth it for the payoff at the end. The connection and chemistry between Seb and Jade was intense and it was on fire. Watching them barb each other was sweet and hilarious - and really endeared both characters to me. They both get lost in what’s there and have to make tough choices and face consequences to get what it is they desire. The back and forth had me coming back page after page until I realized there were no more pages. But that was okay because the ending Seb and Jade got was perfection.
This is a charming lighthearted paranormal romance with Jade as the MFC who is down on her luck and seeks help from a life coach who is charging her £50 for a 1 hour consultation. This turns out to be Sebastian a low level minion of the Devil who is struggling to fill his quota for getting people to sell their souls.
What then happens is a chaotic series of events after Jade gets transported to the 1980's and causes a lot of trouble for herself, Sebastian and the historic timeline.
There is a fair bit of comedy, romance and a sprinkling of sex to keep you interested. There is also a nice twist at the end to resolve all the issues.

What would you think if a session with a life coach could make your dream life reality? Probably a scam, but Jade it´ s too desperate to care. She desperately needs to change her life but it won't be so easy the cost.
Sebastian Burns demon eager to win his position with Lucifer. He needs to give him souls to win back his spot. But after meeting Jade he can't look at anyone else.
With an almost sealed deal Jade travels to the ´80s for a week. Times pass and neither of them wants the time to pass, meaning their ways separate. Maybe they can both have their happy ending?
Opinion: Incredible book, so funny and romantic with a lot of plot twist about Jade´s life. The writing was easy to hook up, I look forward to other books about this author
I received this book as an ARC in exchange of an honest opinion.
My Devil Wears Denim was delightfully, and shockingly, fun! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but I really enjoyed it. I wish it was a bit longer so we could really see Jade and Sebastian’s relationship develop more, but I liked them together. I did find it a bit odd that Jade was all, ok, that’s chill, I’ll make a deal with a devil” and then be ok with the changes in her life. Like she barely even questioned it! But I think if the book was longer, maybe we would’ve seen that more. Regardless, this was a great read.
I received a copy of My Devil Wears Denim from BookSirens and I am sharing my review voluntarily.
This paranormal romance between a demon and a human has an intriguing premise, but the execution didn’t fully work for me. The male main character develops strong feelings almost immediately and poses as a life coach, which felt a bit odd and not entirely convincing. The romance itself comes across as somewhat constructed, making it harder to fully connect with the characters and their relationship. Overall, it’s an okay read with an interesting concept, but it didn’t feel as natural or engaging as it could have been.

ARC Who doesn't love a witty man who can turn anything serious into something dirty? Not only that he's also a demon willing to make your dreams come true with sealing the deal with your soul 😉. This was such a fun short read. From the banter the characters had with one another to the funny cringe worthy things the MMC says. I could not put this book down. I was so entertained not one moment in this book bored me. Definitely recommend reading this you won't regret it.
Thank you to the author for letting me read your story
If I’m laughing at the snarky banter by chapter two it’s usually going to be a good read. Overall, this was a pretty cute story. I was hoping for a little more high stakes drama and romance given it was a devil book. However, the storyline is decent and the book moves a pretty good clip. Enjoyed reading it and at less than 200 pages it’s pretty easy to read it in one sitting.
