It was probably 1983 when I saw the macintosh in a demonstration meeting held near Shinbashi-Torano-Mon area of TOKYO here in Japan. I was an employee in a computer graphics manufacturing related division of air-conditioning manufacturer whose head office has been in Osaka. Our project in those days consisted of 3 persons, trying to investigate GUI and 3D CAD software system. We had a fresh and brand-new impression to the new window and menu selection GUI. It was so far back from appearance of MS windows of 1995. I thought his farsightedness was so sophisticated and inovative, moreover artistic. But we couldn't construct the work frame to realize such a kind of function. Different from those who had been fear to stand alone and had not know how to do, but to earn a living by enployed, he realized his idea after some dificulties. As consequences I learned his brief story of acomplishment from this book. Now I am solicited to know about technological aspect or strategic aspect of getting necessary technic, organization, human resources... I felt in this time rather difficulties to finding right sentence structure in this book as I was a non-native Englisg reader.
It takes less than an hour to read this book and learn 50 incredible life and businesses lessons from a genius, a great inventor and legendary business leader: Steve Jobs.
There are countless success quotes from Jobs. The one I like most is the following:
" Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."
Very nicely written concise biography of Steve Jobs and his awe inspiring journey . Its a good book for us to derive inspiration , the author has also tagged the "lessons" and wisdom which we can derive from Job's lives in appropriate places throughout the book. It can be finished in one sitting , that's the best part !
It's more like a blog post than a book. I read a couple of random headlines with its description and found that author is not just blabbering utter rubbish on things which doesn't need to be explained and actually most of them didn't match with the headlines at all.
Most of the reviews here are either overrated or purchased from Fiverr gigs or from relatives or other kinds. Don't waste even your 3 minutes reading the headlines.
Just take this from my review, that's worth reading.
"People don't know what they need unless you show it to them". (Also this is not Author's original thought, so anyways just a quote and nothing else).
This is a good read which summarises the professional life of Steve Jobs and how he brought about a revolution in the computer and consumer electronics industries. This is by no measure a detailed account of his life, but it was never intended to be. I wpuld recommend this book for anyone who wants to be inspired by the works of Steve Jobs.
Basically the good points which can be used aa motivation are provided with example. The other side is not diacussed much. Maybe better to not talk about as he is no longer with us.
Easy to understand concepts that prove to be practical. Entrepreneurs will benefit if they apply what the learn here. The scope of their success depends on their commitment.
Story of a great man of our times. Edison of 21st century. Greatest innovator. His insights into human life may be far more valuable than his innovations
Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
I've already read two more biographies of Steve Jobs before reading this book but the way the author summarised his life incidents in 50 lessons or call it segments that is good... I'm surely gonna recommend this book to my friends and connections.
Decent well organised book about Steve job, his life and career. His contribution in a brief way well defined in this book. May not give complete insight about his book but definitely about his life is worth. Knowing via this book
I don‘t have a clue why people rate this 5+. There was nothing new in it. Just basic stuff you‘ve already heard about businesses and life. What a waste of time...
