My Dear Stalker

While scrolling through TikTok during the pandemic in 2020, Jacob Walker is just looking for entertainment when he comes across the profile of Nadine Miller. It is simply a video of her dancing and smiling, but he watches the video on repeat—and so begins his obsession. To Jacob, Nadine is perfect, and he promises himself that she will one day be his.


Nadine has become a famous influencer worldwide with millions of followers. She talks a lot about her life on camera, but she doesn’t know that this is why she will meet someone who knows her better than herself. Jacob is aware of where she goes to college, her favorite restaurant, her routine, and more. He can’t meet her until he is successful enough to deserve her, so he sends anonymous gifts under the name “FableMaster” in the meantime.


Nadine is uncomfortable with the gifts and letters from her secret admirer so finds comfort when she meets a man who catches her interest, unaware that this mysterious stranger is actually her stalker. Jacob weasels his way deeper into her life, all the while hiding his true identity, but he can only keep his secret hidden for so long. What will happen if Nadine puts the pieces together? Will their story end in true love or tragedy?

Well… How can I begin? I’m so angry with Jacob, he’s a psychopath. What f*cking was going on in this book?

““Villains can have happy endings after all.” I’m literally chills. I mean, I don’t say I didn’t like the book. I liked it so much. But it’s weird, I had never read a book when the villain wins and That’s the reason I feel so so overwhelmed. I’m worried about Nadine, and she’s so inocent, so deluded.

I couldn’t love Jacob, he scared me so much. How he built a lifestyle for Nadine, he created a personality to like her, it’s so sick and too obsessive. The way he told his pov like he was a god guy but as you kept reading you can see how he accept he is the villain and he didn’t care.

I thought this story was about a guy who had a crush on a influencer. About a cute romance but nope, it’s about a obsessive psychopath and a innocent influencer.

On the other hand, the book keeps you reading, in each chapter you feel curious about what will happen with the ending. Also if you want stared to read in English, that book is a good option.

I hope Nadine will know one day. Leave my girl, Jacob 😭

Must mention that I start reading “Part of your world”, but I didn’t get engaged much as with “My dear Stalker in the first chapters. So stopped it and start reading this one instead, I don’t regret it. Despite an eye infection that stretched my reading time to six days, I found myself deeply in love the book. If not for my eye trouble, I would have devoured it in a single night.

If you're just beginning to read in English or want to practice your English skills, this book is perfect for you. The words choices are simple, making it easy to read and understand.

The plot twist was particularly gripping. I was anxious about how Jacob would reveal everything, and the outcome genuinely shocked me and made me laugh. But it also left me wondering what is going to happen next. I'm eagerly awaiting a second book because this one was exceptionally good. Desiree has definitely gained a new fan in me.

Debo decir que empecé a leer este libro en un momento en el cual había perdido el hábito de leer, en los últimos dos años solo he estado escuchando audiolibros por falta de tiempo y siempre estar cansada. Cuando obtuve el libro se me dificultaba sacar tiempo para leer, pero a final de este mes de octubre me propuse retomar la lectura y no solo los audios y además practicar el inglés pues no soy muy fluida en el idioma.
Resulta que el libro de “My dear stalker” me enganchó, la historia me gustó bastante y el inglés y la forma de Desiré escribir fue super fácil.
De verdad que la escritora tuvo mucho ingenio para crear una historia y mantenernos intrigados y querer saber que iba a pasar, como se revelaría la verdad y como se solucionaría todo. Fue un giro buenisimo y creo que eventualmente Dessy sacará una segunda parte.

Si te gusta el romance, y también un poco de intriga, debes leer este libro.
Y lo mas cool para mi, la escritora es dominicana. Estoy orgullosa.

Es una historia muy entretenida que mezcla dark romance con thriller. Te hace cuestionarte muchas cosas y te mantiene intrigada todo el tiempo.

Trata de una influence con un stalker cuya identidad desconoce.

El stalker es un personaje muy bien desarrollado. Está lleno de contradicciones: a veces sientes que es bueno y entiendes sus razones… y al momento siguiente no. Nunca lo tuve realmente claro, y eso es lo que lo hace tan inquietante. Da miedo no saber qué esperar de una persona así.

El final está bien logrado y le da un giro completo a la historia lo cual aun me cuesta asimilar. Pero disfruté mucho este libro. Es adictivo y te deja pensando incluso después de terminarlo.

The story is very interesting, has both point of view of the main characters which gave you a better understanding of the general context and why each character do what they do. Is a interesting romance story and the end is a good plot. Every time I had to stop reading, IT WAS TORTURE. I couldn't stop thinking about what I was reading. By page 15 | was desperate to read more and more, the more I read the more I wanted to keep reading. The whole story keeps you there, wondering if the next move will expose that mysterious stalker. This book does not disappoint, believe me, there is no unnecessary filler, no useless characters, a SUBTLE touch of spice, the way it is written is simple, clean and clever.
Because to be a Stalker you have to be a pretty smart person, and Mr. FabelMaster is a mastermind. So, as we read, all we have to do is say to Miss Miller, "good luck finding out who your dear stalker is, because you will need it. And when you think you have him, no you don't" ;)


I loved it. And I must thank the author for bringing this book to light, I hope to read more of her books eventually.


(It's been more than a year since I made this review in my other goodreads that I lost, and I must say that in fact I have continued reading this author, a smart choice to be honest, because what good books I would have missed otherwise💛)

Manaaaa impresionante 🤩

Me fascinó la historia Es súper entretenida, con su pizca de picante y un ritmo rapidísimo que te engancha de inmediato. No podía esperar a ver cómo se resolvía el lío con el acosador, y debo decir que la forma en que la autora manejó eso me dejó boquiabierta.Yo estaba nerviosa al borde de el asiento , preguntándome cómo terminaría todo, mana impresionante que inteligencia la de él chico, estoy impactada con tanta inteligencia. El final fue simplemente divino.

Sin embargo, tengo que admitir que no me cayó bien la FMC. Era demasiado confiada y crédula, y en algunos momentos me costaba trabajo tolerarla, en algunos momentos me daban unas ganas de entrarle a galletas por tan crédula e ingenua.Entiendo sus razones, pero aun así, fue un poco frustrante. A pesar de eso, todo lo demás en la historia fue simplemente divino.

Este libro lo lei en medio de un bloqueo de lector, normalmente leo fantasia y thriller pero estaba medio estancada y decidi leer My Dear Stalker a ver que podia hacer por mi, realmente fue una lectura facil, lo lei muy rapido. La escritura es sencilla y el lenguaje es moderno, pero la historia te engancha, el querer saber como el MMC iba a resolverlo todo me activo la ansiedad, menos mal Jacob esta hecho de todo lo que esta bien en este mundo y arreglo todo rapido.
Siento que necesita o un segundo libro o unos bonus chapter para las cositas que quedaron sin resolver, porque siento que al chisme le faltaron detalles jajaja.
Si eres hispanohablante y quieres comenzar a leer en ingles, esta es una buena opcion.

This book was really entertaining and easy to get through. The story hooked me fast and kept my attention the whole time. I’ll admit I was into Jacob at first, but the more the story went on, the more he came off as a manipulative mess, which honestly ruined him for me. That said, the plot still works, the pacing is good, and overall it was a solid, engaging read.
