Mr. Hans Hass was one of the most famous of under-water swimmers. He has explored many seas and oceans, and because of his skill as an under-water photographer he has revealed to us the beauty and wonder of life under the sea.
He was known mainly for being among the first scientists to popularise coral reefs, stingrays and sharks. He pioneered the making of documentaries filmed underwater.
A readable book about sailing on the world's seas and - above all! - diving in that glorious age of pioneers who discovered and perfected modern diving. And lots of stories, anecdotes and beautiful photos, black and white and colour, of underwater fish and paribas. Even giant zebra mussels. Enjoyable to consume for any curious reader, not just fans of the sport itself.
