This book offers more than 300 opportunities to explore creatively your thoughts about the world you live in. It's a book about you, about your friends--about everyone you know!
Really interesting book to read on long drives. Most of the questions are very thoughtful and fun, however it doesn't receive more stars because some questions are the "who cares" kind. The book provides some fun and cheap ways to learn and have new conversation with friends and family.
This is a collection of conversation-starter questions. The collection aims for fun: It avoids controversial topics, religion, and politics. There are some fun ideas here, but a lot of the questions fall into a general pattern of "if you could change [certain characteristic] of [certain common or iconic thing]...", to the point that reading it felt a little bit repetitive.
Still, it could serve as an amusing party distraction with the right group if not overused.
This is a pretty neat book. I originally purchased it at a hospital book sale in hopes of sharpening my conversational skills, as I am not adept in social situations. The questions never really filtered into my conversations in any major way, but I did find them helpful in getting to know myself. I also used the prompts in freewriting exercises, and the results could be fairly interesting. That said, this book would be a good addition to a creative writing course.
