Candy Floss. & I hate candy floss!
I have no excuse for reading thiscrap book, other than I was holidaying in Rarotonga and was short on reading material.
Yeah, yeah I know - it's a hard life but someone has to do it!
Incredibly bland protagonists;
Ridiculous plot that constantly wimps out on The Big Misunderstanding that underpins most romances. The lack of tension -sexual or otherwise- really frustrated me. & speaking of frustrated - no sex until around the 90% mark & then it was of the fade to black kind.
I rate by enjoyment & genre & this was a particularly bad example of a romance.

I had a very hard time getting into this book. Very slow going for at least 2/3 of it. It had moments of humor, but the "secret/mystery" was lacking something and the ending was not satisfactory for me. I usually enjoy Kasey Michaels books very much but I wish I hadn't bothered to finish this one. I just can't seem to start a book and not finish it.

I liked this book especially since it is the first time I have read anything from this author it is a light-hearted book which I enjoy no set of fuss just two people who belonged together who ended up together

LOL humor saved this dramatic romp
Kasey Michaels is a master at plot timing and comedic dialogue. The first half of This Must Be Love certainly reflects her talent. I actually did laugh out loud until tears ran down my cheeks. Together, Janie and John were total opposites, which set up the perfect circumstances for humor and mayhem in this stand alone tale.
Sadly, the plot took a turn toward a light political drama and the humor diminished noticeably. I still thought Janie and John were cute together and I had high hopes for them to realize their love. When the reason for the drama was resolved, and our hero and heroine admitted they loved each other, and the story ended. It was a cute ending, but not a very satisfying one.
Content 411: There is some light swearing, kissing and fade-out passion. There is no sexually graphic or vulgar content.

Easy summer read, good for a lazy day at the beach.

This is a very amusing and captivating story. Full of intrigue, mystery, drama, sweetness and a lot of laughs, it's entertaining and hard to put down. John is snarky, charming, funny and interesting. Jane is a bit of a flake, she rambles when she's nervous, but she's also intelligent and entertaining. The storyline is dramatic, the supporting characters and real characters, good, bad and fun. This is another winner by Kasey.

This story made me want to pack up and head to the beach!
Jane Preston is talked into going to a conference at the beach and is looking forward to an ADVENTURE, but she hadn't counted on falling for the very tall and very male John Romanwski. It seems that both Jane and John are withholding information from each other but they do share a common goal of bringing scandal to a local senator. Goal is achieved but in a very round-about and not exactly expected way!

This was some fun, lite reading :) That said, a previous BookCrossing reader, valentina, was right -- I got kind of confused by the mystery part of the story! I literally didn't understand all the political intrigue! But it was still cute and entertaining, and just what I needed to let my brain relax :)
I have to say, though, that I wanted to punch Molly. And why is it that it's standard for romance novels to: have a leading lady who thinks she's unattractive
she gets a makeover (if she really IS attractive, why does she need a makeover?)
she has a hot (and wild) friend/sister
she's not attracted to the leading man's "type"
he's not attracted to her "type"
he realizes that he must ask her to marry him (and has most likely never done that before)
they do (well, that's part of the happy ending, I suppose)
ah well, now that I have that bulleted list written down, maybe I can make some money on the side :)
I still say it was a nice diversion :)

This was a fun book to read. The characters were humorous and their banter made me laugh out lout a few times. The plot was well developed and easy to follow. The political aspect of the story was true and to the point. Greed and the need for power let's people do despicable things. The ending was unexpected but, again, totally believable. I recommend the book to anyone who is looking for a light read. I received the book in exchange for an honest review.

What a super book! Well written. Entertaining, well developed characters. Woven into a love story that has some suspense thrown in keep our attention throughout.

This book was a little slow with the mystery. I didn't really feel "hooked" until 10-15 pages from the end.

This is an author that I have read a lot of and have added her books to my 'keeper' book shelf. Most I have read at least twice and some even more than that.

More of an unlikely love story and not so much mystery. I got lost with much of the political aspect of the book. It was also a slow read, not really a page turner.

This story was amusing and fun. The characters (other than the senator and his nephew) were all likeable and interesting, their multiple plots were harebrained, but oh, the romance was the icing on the cake. Ms. Michaels' sense of humor is evident in her writing and she makes even the mundane amusingly interesting. A great start to what I think will be an interesting series.

Fun and cute summer read. It had the tendency to push the cliches to the very, very edge before backing off and saying “just kidding.” At first, it made me nervous, but I was used to it by the end of the book and it was actually kind of charming.
