Detective Sloane Morroe has built her life on two things; solving murders and keeping secrets. But beneath her badge lies a dangerous addiction she has spent years trying to outrun—one buried under shame, denial, and the ghosts of her past.
When a series of grisly murders pulls her back to the one place she vowed never to revisit, Sloane is forced to confront the very world that once fed her darkest desires. What begins as an investigation quickly becomes something far more personal and darker.
As the bodies begin to pile up and the case tightens around her, Sloane finds herself trapped in a seductive, and deadly web of obsession, betrayal, and temptation. With the truth closing in and her addiction threatening to consume her, she must make a devastating choice; give in to the darkness calling her name, or fight for the life she may no longer be able to save.

When I first started reading the book I was like dang it's a lot of pages for the deeper and deeper I got into it I was able to figure it out but the ending the ending is my favorite part the ending is the deepest part to me of the book like it's all deep and it's all chaotic but a functional chaos but the ending I would read it all over again just to read the ending good s***.
A spicy urban thriller?? I’ll take 14 of them please!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I love me a good who done it! This definitely gave me the vibe I was looking for
It had me hooked with the suspense, the twists, and the steady pace that kept me wanting to know what was really going on. Detective Sloane journey, the secrets surrounding the case, and the tension between the characters made me eat this one right on up!
I loved the mystery and the way the story kept me questioning everyone. Everyone was looking real suspicious! Just when I thought I had things figured out another twist. 😩
That ending? I’m still sitting with how I feel about it because it definitely left me with thoughts. 😂 But regardless, this was a solid read with plenty of suspense, drama, and secrets to keep you invested.
Definitely worth picking up if you love thrillers with a dark edge and some spiciness.
