This was a great quick read. Years ago there was a programme called Beauty and the Beast. This reminded me of that programme.
Lily finds herself at the door of Aidan, the beasts mansion. Although it had familiarity to it I thought the author did a great job of weaving her uniqueness into it.
As this is part one of the story I'm so glad I've got book two sitting on my kindle to jump into as soon as I get a few hours sleep. Great read.

I was graciously given a copy of Lily and the Beast for an honest review and OMG! This was such a awesome read.. I literally could not put this book down. A wonderful debut novel by Amelia Jayne. Lily and the Beast is a moderately dark, erotic, very thrilling and seriously addictive.
Lily Gray's father finds himself faced with Jail. The only way to avoid that is by sending one of his daughters to be the sex slave of a wealthy recluse with a sadistic fetish. Lily feels responsible for the reason why her father is being threatened and agrees to sign the contract. Giving up her life, her family and boyfriend for one year.
Aidan Pierce(The Beast)was not expecting Gray to send the youngest of his three daughters to settle his debt. She is young, and beautiful and he knew instantly knew she was not like the others.
Even though Lily is blindfolded and has never seen Aidan she finds herself falling for this man who summons her to his room each night.
I loved Aidan and Lily's story. There is and undeniable chemistry between the two of them. The author has done a wonderful job bringing these characters to life.
I could not wait to start book 2!!

I received a copy of Lily and the Beast for a blog tour and my honest review.
Oh wow. Seriously, I couldn't put this down. Amelia Jayne's debut novel was an erotically charged awesome version of a beauty and the beast story with a super cliffy.
The characters are so intriguing and she tells us just enough to keep us on edge and wondering...what the heck is up with Aiden..Is he disfigured, just not wanting people to see the devestation in his eyes? WHAT????
Lily is a sweetheart. Kind, good hearted, good natured, loving person who steps up due to guilt.
This was story smolders...and you can't look away...even after you're finished you'll want to gobble up book 2 which is coming right up!
That's where I'm headed next. Can't wait to start it! Book 2 officially releases Mar 21...

Geez, this one will grab you by the throat and shake you silly!
Faced with a decision that no-one let alone a parent would ever want to have to consider. Lily’s father is facing serious prison time but is given the chance to avoid seeing the inside of a jail cell by agreeing to give up one of his daughters for the next year.
Yeh, like that is ever going to happen I hear you say – well scared people make poor choices and feeling partially responsible for the whole situation, Lily agrees to be the one to leave. One year away from everything and everyone she loves is a small price in her mind to save her father from prison but does she even consider the severity of the situation that she is entering.
Aidan Pierce is the beast that has laid the terms and conditions of the agreement, this reclusive man has a predilection for all things sadistic, but he is more than a little surprised when he sees Lily stepping up to the plate. Lily is different to the women that he normally has dealings with, this young woman is beautiful, kind and spirited and Aidan finds it strange that she would willingly submit to the next year with him. But then again he really didn’t leave the family with many options.
The plot is handled well although I have to say that I found the whole scenario had my imagination whirring at a million miles an hour. I cursed Aidan for what he was doing and also Lily in some respects for going along with it but then again I also had some sympathy because I considered what must be wrong for Aidan to believe that it is acceptable to force this sort of situation on anyone. I couldn’t help but question why Aidan lives his life the way he does, what exactly has driven this man to hide away behind closed doors?
There are so many questions that remain unanswered, thoughts that are galloping around in my head and that have me questioning the sanity of both of the main characters but it is Aidan has me completely bemused because I know that some say that money and power corrupt but dear lord – there is the matter of common decency!
When it comes to Lily and Aidan I have to say that I am torn between what I should think about their situation and what I actually do. As twisted and abhorrent as it started out I can’t help but garner the eroticism and thrill of it all.
Characterisation is handled with both flare and drama. The sensuality and erotism of the story are also handled with the touch of a seasoned pro and the cliff hanger at the end was exceptional.
As a first book I have to say that it was a great effort and I am heading straight for book 2

If there is something I have a weakness for is the Beauty and the Beast plot. I just love the wicked romance inherent to a helpless woman who falls prey to a beast of a man. After all, there's something primal in belonging to a powerful man, being at his mercy, only to turn him inside out and bring light to his darkness. This is what I was hoping for in this sensual and modern version of the fairy tale.
It really spins the story with a naughty twist. Lily has sold her freedom for a year to a recluse in a mansion. If that doesn't perk up all your alarms and ripples your senses, there's only one thing that will. All the little, deliciously hot encounters Lily has with her new, controlling master, Aidan Pierce.
He's a harsh man, loaded with secrets. It was really exciting to feel through Lily those early stages when everything is unfolding in the strangest ways. The eerie mansion, the weird rules, the moody master she can never see... He's a mystery that doesn't want to be unraveled. However, the intimacy has to happen and I liked how it was done.
Adding to the tension, it's the mystery surrounding Aidan's past. What has led him to an obscure lifestyle? Or to his dubious bedroom techniques? Is he beyond redemption? It was alluring the way they get together at nights, sometimes domineering and harsh, other times slightly hopeful that Lily means something special to him. The uncertainty she feels adds to the thrill of passion and to the reading pleasure.
The writing style is fine, reflecting in a natural way both feelings and actions. In addition to the dual POV, which I love, the author paints a vivid picture of a woman who must relinquish her free will to a stranger in exchange of her father's well-being. Little by little, the details come to light and I really enjoyed how things proceeded. When a small spark of hope seems to be within reach for both of them, a misunderstanding builds up the drama just before the end of part one. Oh, naughty writer, that's how you make me crave the second part, isn't it? You're good! ;-)

This is an amazing read! Lily is on her way to pay a debt to a man who can send her dad to jail. But she never really sees the man that she has agreed to pay a debt that her dad owes. Lily has to wear a blond fold every time she's called upon for the sexual experiences that she will never forget!
Aiden has proof of a crime that Lilys dad has committed and he makes a deal with him to collect! Aidan's deal is Lilys dad is to send him one of his daughters for a year to do with as he pleases and in any way! The one he sends is Lily! But as Auden spends time with Lily he figures out that she is different then any other woman that he usually plays with!
Lilys breaking on of the rules set by Aiden, will he punish her or will he send her back to her Dad! I can't wait to read them next part!

It tells the story of Lily Gray, a 20 year old girl, who, in exchange for her father's freedoom (from going to prision), signed a one year contract, willing herself to be owned by Aidan Pierce, a wealthy, powerful, 34 years old bachelor.
Lily is forced to spend a year together with Aidan, being his Sub.
“You agreed to be mine in any way I deem fit for the period of one year. Surrendering your body freely to any physical demands I make, whenever I make them, without complaint or objection”
And ... Every time Lily is in Aidan's presence she has to wear a blindfold and obey to him!
“Why the blindfold?”
“Because I don’t want you to see me.”
“Why not?”
“Because you won’t like what you see.”
Lily's encounters with Aidan are HOT! And even thought he is Dominant and Possesive, he is Not a Total Jerk to her...
“Aidan did precisely what he wanted, when he wanted it. And though I enjoyed everything he did to me, I wished he’d let me touch him sometimes, and more than anything, I wished he’d let me see him.”
“I still wasn’t sure what he thought about me personally. And he never failed to remind me that he was the boss and I was little more than his unpaid subordinate. At the end of every scene, he still left me abruptly, heading off to the west wing, where I was forbidden to go.”
“Tell me what you want, Lily. Do you want to go back to your room?” God help him, if that’s what she’d wanted, he’d find the strength to let her go.

Lily is supost to be counting the days until she's free to go back to her own life... but, she can't help but be curious and think about Aidan, this well-built, sexy man, she's never seen...

“Why not?” He tucked me into his chest as he held me closer, his chin resting on top of my head.

Even thought there were LOTS of Lustful Scenes here, we could feel the Connection, the Feelings growing between the main characters, which I really liked. <3
I loved the Double POV ... We can see that Lily wants to know more about Aidan, that she wants to see the Man behind the "Beast" and for some reason Aidan is unwilling to show this side of him, to her.
I'm SO Curious about why Aidan makes Lily use a blindfold... and I so wanna know more about him. (And about what happend with Felice!)
So, I Will be, definitely, reading the next book of the series - Lily and the Beast 2 :)

I was given an advanced copy of this book to offer an honest review. When I was given a brief blurb about this book, I was expecting to "like" it as I didn't think I would care for a retelling of Beauty and the Beast.
Wow was I wrong. I loved it!
I couldn't put it this book down trying to figure out what made billionaire Aidan Pierce into a self imposed recluse, and why college student Lily Gray was sold to him to pay a debt.
This was a well written, consuming novel that I couldn't put down. This suspenseful sexy, erotic novel begins with Lily Gray being delivered to recluse billionaire Aidan Pierce as payment for crimes her father committed against Aidan. She was sold and was to remain captive for a year with a promise that Aidan would have absolute power over her body. Lily discovers that Aidan has a taste for Dominance and he soon discovers that Lily is more than willing to become a Submissive. We soon find out that there's more to the exchange between them, and the stage is set for a love story between two unlikely characters.
This sexy intriguing novel ends with a cliff hanger that sets the stage for book 2.
What is the mystery surrounding Aidan. Why does Lily Gray feel freer being his captive.

This was a very adult variation on one of my favorite fairy tales. You have Lily, the heroine of the story who makes a deal to live with "The Beast" for a year to pay off her father's debt. There are plenty of modern twists from the laptop Lily writes her thoughts on to the fact that she was pulled from college for this year away. But there is also the extensive library and the kind older house keeper.
Then you have "The Beast" Aidan. There is a mystery surrounding exactly what makes him a beast. He's dealing with demons from his past and he's not quite dealing with them well. He has a temper on him which minds me very much of the fairy tale character. You don't learn much about the past in this story, which was a downside for me because at this point, I don't know why Aidan is the way he is where as I know exactly why Lily is doing what she's doing.
I'm not a huge fan of short serials or cliff hangers in general for that matter. This story has promise and definitely held my interest, but if was over too quickly and now I'm left needing to buy the next installment to know what comes next. However, the story telling was very well done, and I found myself quickly flying through the pages so I will definitely be moving on to the next.

She's signed the Contract and has a list of rules she is expected to follow. The main two rules being she is not allowed to be around Aidan without wearing a blindfold and she can never touch his face. As time passes, Lily's feelings for Aidan begin to grow.
Aidan feels as though he doesn't deserve happiness in his life. Scarred from a tragic accident, he keeps himself away from the world and lives with self hatred. Until Lily. She makes him feel again, yet he believes she's only there because of the Contract and would never stay if she sees his face. He believes he's a beast.
Lily and Aiden have undeniable chemistry between them. You can tell early on that the blindfold doesn't hinder Lily's feelings. I can't wait to see what happens in book 2 the conclusion to their story.

I was pleasantly surprised with this read.
A fantastic little story and well written, there is a lot of emotion written into this story, but there is also traces of bitterness, resentfulness, loneliness & pain.
I really felt for the main character and really want to know more about him, which is hopefully covered in the next book.
There seems to be one major underlying secret with the main character, and I cannot wait to find out what it is. The book doesn't finish on a cliff hanger per say, but it does make you want to get your hands on the next book to find out what happens to all parties involved.

OMG What a brilliant amazing book. I ended up reading both books in one sitting as I was so engrossed by the story of Lily and Aiden. I feel so lucky that I had the chance to read these two books as ARCS.
We meet Lily who is sent to Aiden Pierce for a year and also has a taste for all things sadistic. The reason Lily is sent to him is that Aiden has vital information on her dad that could put him in jail for a long time. But he is willing to keep it to himself in return for one of Lily's dad's daughters.
Aiden Pierce is a very dark and complex character who makes his subs wear blindfolds and his staff not to look at him. He is also annoyed that he has been sent Lily as she is the most timid of the sister's.
It throws him completely not only does Lily step up to the mark but she teaches him not everything has been in darkness.
I can't wait to 're read these books again

Wow for a first book, you hit the nail on the head for sure Amelia! Once I started reading I couldn't put it down until I was finished, then I wanted book 2 right then! I wish I'd have known about this when they first came out to nab the deal but... not sure I'll be able to wait!
Beauty and the Beast told with a whole new sexy twist!! Lily and Aiden, both strong characters. They'll keep you so engrossed in this book you won't know you're at the end so fast until it happens. Thank you for this ARC! It was an amazing story. I was amazed at how Lily was so accepting of the contract even though she really had no idea what was going to happen. She loved her father dearly to accept this to keep him out of jail. I think Aidan didn't really realize what he was getting himself into too. Lily is not one to not stand up for herself. Aidan had his hands full the moment she walked through is door. The sex scenes in this book are amazingly HAWT! Thank you again for giving me a chance to read and review! Starting on book two now because that ending was um. Yeah that's it

When Lily's dad gets caught doing something he shouldn't, Lily steps up and offers to 'pay' his debt. Leaving her family, friends and every day life behind, Lily finds herself at the mercy of Aidan after agreeing to spend a year with him. I loved Aidan. Absolutely loved him, the hot and cold of his character, the confusion over his feelings and actions just added to his character. Will definitely be reading more from this author.

I love dark reads so this book is right up my alley!!! I loved the whole storyline with lily as the sweet young daughter forced to give up a year of her freedom to save her dad going to jail and Aiden a formidable stern man who won't let lily see him. I am looking forward to reading book 2 which I have just downloaded.

Oh Yes! I must review this book! A dirty twist to Beautiful & the Beast. I absolutely loved it! I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. Moving straight into books 2 to learn all Aidan's secrets. So glad I found this book recommended from a group on sale.

This was a steamy read. The sex scenes were really good, and I really like the characters. For me the book was a little small (just because I was really enjoying reading this book), but the story plot was good. I would love to read the next book in the series.

A sexy idea that is just missing something that makes me connect with these characters.
Lily is easy to like because she seems genuine and gentle and is there to help her father out.
Aiden is supposed to be a sexy mystery man and even though he and Lily have a couple of nice and funny conversations post-sex, which showed their chemistry, the times we read from his POV I thought he was just a selfish arrogant bastard.
This book is too short and with the freaking "cliffhanger" I don't know if the author has done enough to make me care what happens to this beast.

I sooooo loved this book. Not because of the hawt steamy sex which was very well written but for the story and character building. And I love a good Beauty and the Beast type book. So far the Beast is a beast and keeping true the character. I missed that there would be a book two but I have already pre-ordered book 2. Luckily only a week away from release. Found myself a new fav. author.

great start to a series but not sure if I will continue it anytime soon, the whole blind fold thing was a bit too, often too weird for me. A touch over done but I loved the charectors so much I might try this series again soon

Really enjoyed this sizzling hot little read, had my kindle on fire.
