Chelbie is a ball of snarky fun. For some, she's an intellectual snob. Chelbie Larson, bestie with Mallory from His Canvas, finally finds her match. It is no surprise it takes two men to keep up with her. Chelbie loves her kinky friends. It's just a bit depressing for her to be without a lover as everyone is paired up. Lucky for her, Mallory is ready to repay Chelbie for the kindness of pushing Mallory to date Kel. When newbie Nick shows up to a bondage 101 class at Venture, he's immediately paired up with Chelbie.
Nick is interested in the lifestyle. He knows he likes control in the bedroom and he also knows it's best when his twin brother Rich is involved. These two brothers are night and day. What's great about them is together, they possess all the traits Chelbie's been searching for in a lover. No stranger to a threesome formation, Chelbie starts a relationship with both of them, nice and easy.
The conflicts in this story I could have done without. I understand why one of the conflicts is in there to kick off the second less dire one. Neither worked for me. Instead, I would have liked to focus on the exploration of kink by newbie dominants Nick and Rich with an experience submissive/bottom helping them. This is a story which would really interest me. The ups and downs of learning how to be a dominant when the submissive is more experienced and probably knows more is rarely shown. What are pitfalls? To see the perspective of the novice dominants would really make this story good and pull in more readers. Perhaps the spouses of avid female kinky readers would find this side of the story helpful and relatable. For submissive or bottoms who are kinky or well read, this insight might give them a better understanding of newbie dominants' fears, concerns and frustration.
From a character perspective, Nick and Rich are delicious studly young dominants. They are mature and definitely spouse material. Chelbie is like a mini-Tilly. It's a bit scary how she channels Tilly and the mouth on this girl is crass. It may be unladylike, but it is certainly funny. There is nothing hidden with Chelbie. She is someone who is transparent and one always knows where they stand with her. This can be refreshing if exhausting.
This kinky romance is recommended for ménage lovers who also enjoy new adult erotica.
I like the full length Suncoast Society books best, and I was worried whether the shorter novella stories would be as enjoyable. Ms. Dalton pulled it off nicely. The shorter novellas naturally do not have the depth and breadth of character development and journey of the longer books, but Sapiosexual is complete and satisfying, and the romance is hawt!
h was too mouthy and came off as bit too spoilt. But H's were great. After reading many BDSM romances eg: Joey Hill..shudder.. and not not getting it, the way Tymber Dalton deals with it is so refreshing , like a fun hobby between friends, no more complicated than that. Take it or leave it. Have to say, I like it.
Another winner from Tymber. Did think that Chelbie's mouth was a bit too snarky at times, especially towards her parents. An easy going read with an easily spotted "bad egg". Read in one sitting.
It was a fun read. Different in that the Doms were new to the scene and the sub helped them learn. As always, Ms Dalton is a great storyteller, and I love the way her stories don't revolve around a 'club'. Although there is one, Venture, it is a secondary piece to the puzzle. Her stories are about life and love and people you can relate to.
I love the fact that you get to learn about new things with Tymber's books, sapiosexual angle was great. I did try to look up the silencer and was unable to find one that was close to the description that was given, oh well something to research later I guess.
Nice menage story, I'd forgotten that the Suncoast mildly stories built upon each other and was told in the author's intro to back up one story twice before reading this one, so I have a pretty good idea what I'm reading next & next.
I like it. It wasn't my favorite Tymber Dalton book, but I loved to see Chelbie's HEA. She was a hoot in his canvas so it was great her characteristics carried over.
I detest the word sapiosexual. Like wow, I think smart people are hotter than stupid people. What a concept.
The pairing was fine. I think being in a relationship with twins feels a little squicky to me, but whatever. I'm surprised every single time when there's extreme violence and attempted murder in these books. Everyone gets a happily ever after, but sheesh dude, why we gotta have so much fighting?
TWINS? Seriously? What a lucky.... I don't think I can use that word. Chelbie in life you will always do something (whether it be small or big) to dissapoint your parents.... you can't always make everyone else happy. The way I see it the most important person to make happy is yourself because if you aren't happy you can't have a happy relationship (but that is just me). Another winner from Tymber.
I wasn't sure for a while if I was going to like this book or not. I enjoyed Chelbie as a best friend (in His Canvas) and I like her personality in general, but when she was paired up with 2 newbie Doms I was expecting her to walk all over them and constantly be topping from the bottom. Thankfully the guys had enough natural instincts that she was only giving suggestions and tips, and they took care of the rest. Not my favorite book of the series, but I was still very enjoyable.
Tymber just continues to amaze me with this series! I cannot get enough of the characters new and old! Each new set of characters add so much more to this special family of the Suncoast Society. I just get lost in the stories and Tymber has amazing prose that just sucks you in from the first word and you cannot stop until it is finished. I cannot wait to start the next book!
I really preferred Chelbie as a side character. I don't know if it was a failing in the plot or in her as a character, but this was nearly boring. The antagonist was too easy to identify, the two personalities were predictable and the kink wasn't all that kinky. I'm used to a higher standard with Dalton, but this was a letdown.
Overall this was a good read. There was some repetitious dialogue, and one of the Hs couldn't get over his insecurities. Also the "bad guy" was totally obvious. Other than that it was a great addition to the series.
This one was ok but not my favorite in this series. Tymber Dalton is so good at making flawed characters that no one usually annoys me but the h in this one just kinda rang false to me. I didn't buy her and she fell flat :( so really 2 1/2 stars but rounding up because I love me some TD!
Another home run for The Suncoast Society. Chelsea is one snarky chick. Nick and Rich are the best thing for her. No way could one guy handle her alone.
Chelbie finds what she really needs in not one man but in two brother's Nick and Rich. They fall hard and fast but first they need to figure out who has it in for them.
