I really enjoyed Revenge Is Its Own Executioner by Don Brown. It does a great job honoring old 1950s Cleveland and makes the city feel alive on the page. The story pulls an everyday man into a tense and dangerous situation that grows in ways best left undisclosed, which makes it all the more enjoyable to read. Don Brown handles the setting, pacing, and unfolding mystery with a lot of skill. It is a book that shows clear respect for its time and place while telling a story that keeps you engaged throughout.
I really enjoyed this revenge PI novel by Donald Brown. The author brings you into the 1950s in a way that I can picture the time vividly not having lived in the 50s myself. Loved the twists and turns and character development. This is not my normal genre of book but will read more from this author in a heartbeat!
