Overall a fun, somehow still cozy/low-stakes -even with the trigger warnings- monster romance. Not shifter. Lots of new concepts introduced in this book.

I enjoyed the manufactured bond and it's effect on the scents, emotional influence, and connection/bonding. The introduction of other in-universe couples was cool and I'd be curious if they get their own novellas.

There was some additional worldbuilding, that left me with a few more questions than answers, but overall didn't pull away from the main story too much.
I had thought that the compound was a bit more remote but between Thurl and Quin's books it seems like their houses are a short jog away from the main city?
How many witches are there? Seems like they can do almost anything but I'm not sure if there's a real cost to magic?
The Secret Society spends a lot of money lol, where does it come from?
They're not critical questions to enjoying the lower-stakes story but my other genres of reading are typically heavy on worldbuilding so these kinds of questions pop-up for me.

There were some bigger consequences for actions in this book than the first two, kind of took me by surprise but they felt inevitable and I'm glad the author didn't shy away from them.
I would categorize the first two books as being 'Plot Driven' and this one as a mix of 'Plot Driven' and 'Character Driven', because their choices directly impacted the direction of the story. My personal preference is 'Character Driven' narratives so this one was better -for me- than the first two.
Example:
Haven is a foster-care kid, it impacts the way she interacts with/responds to the bonds and connecting deeply with others, which impacts how much time she spends in different locations and why she stays/leaves.
The narrative was leading up to a specific outcome, Haven made a decision to go into a building, the whole plan was knocked off course because of her choice. It was great to see her impact on the story.

Haven and Quin were fun. The recurring characters have cozy, perfect relationship vibes since they're the supporting cast, not foils.

Roul continues to be my favorite, I can't wait for his book. I imagine it'll be the darkest/most grim in content and character choices. He continues to show a level of self-restraint, loyalty, and level-headedness that exceeds all of the brothers combined.

This is the third book in the Monstrous guardians series. The Wyerfang brothers are finding their mates one by one. I this book Quinn and Haven meet under Dubious circumstances. She's co.e to Dumrock for a new job working at a lab. In the week leading up to her first day of work her house is broken into, there is a fire next door and she finds out monsters do exist and that sometimes the real monsters are not the ones with claws and fangs. Quin follows his instincts and hears sirens going off near his home. He follows the sound and see a woman that some like his but something wrong is underlying the smell. He fears she's a pant sent in to make sure he a d his corners are returned to the lab. What they find out together that these scientists ha e been experimenting on individuals without their Consent and Haven was definitely among them. Now its a race against time to find proof and make sure no one else suffers this kind of treatment again. And along the way haven and Quin find a love so strong that nothing can tear them apart. I don't know if I'm able to objectively review this book, I fucking love the Wyrfang series! This book is no different. I fell in love with Quin in book 1 and finally he gets to fall in love as well - not with me though, disappointed sigh 🙁

Once again Kenzie Kelly bangs out a great follow-up to the series, keeping the storyline fresh with a twist on the fated mates story. This one is a bit darker and grittier than the others, but still feels so warm and loving to read. And Nanna once again takes center stage as the best side character ever, force-feeding everyone cookies while keeping the wyrfangs in line.

As usual, the focus was on the love story between Summer and Quin, but a lot more action-packed this time around.

This book is for you if you want a monster romance with murder puppy energy, and the bad guy getting what's coming to them.

Remember to read those triggers, people 😊, this book contains some darker themes, even though it's not a dark romance.

I’ve been waiting so long for this book, and it felt so good to be back in the world of the wyrfangs.

One of my favorite things about this installment was the new twist with the manufactured mate bond. It added something fresh to the series and made me really curious to see how it would impact Quin and Haven’s relationship. There’s a lot of potential in that dynamic, and I loved exploring it.

I do like Quin and Haven together—they’re honestly so precious—but at times their relationship didn’t fully click for me. I could see the end goal and the “happy picture,” but it felt like a few emotional pieces were missing along the way. I just wanted a little more depth to really feel it.

That said, I’m fully invested in the bigger story. The suspense of how everything is going to play out with the villains has me hooked, and I need the rest of the books ASAP. I’m so ready for more of this world and the other love stories still to come.

Overall, a solid addition to the series with an interesting new angle—and I’ll definitely be continuing.

ARC review.

I was fortunate enough to get an ARC copy of the latest Monster Guardian series. Following Quin who has been a favourite character so far in the series.

Is she a mole or is she an unknowing victim? What has been done to her so she smells different?

I couldn't put this book down, loved the pace, the banter and watching the story evolve. Now want to see what happens next!

Loved the latest book by Kenzie.

What worked for me:
• Summer's drive to help other people who were victimized
• Quin's desire to help her even if she was sent by the bad guys
• No third-act breakup

Overall, I rate it 4⭐out of 5 which means I enjoyed this, had a great time reading it, and recommend it. I'm likely to read this again, especially if it is part of a favorite series, and am looking forward to reading more books by this author in the future.

Really good

I’ve read the first two and really enjoyed them. As soon as I saw this book was available I had to read it straight away!

This story is about Quin and Haven and it continues the story of the Wyrfangs trying to locate and eliminate BioSynth.

I always enjoy the theme of the ‘fangs being supportive of their brothers and their mates, going into “battle” without question or hesitation, helping each other stay calm…

It also has a good dose of violence and spice without overdoing it.

It’s a fast paced story and a very quick read.

Not that I don’t care about Kragen and Cavi, but I eagerly await Roul’s story. I just really need him to be ok.

I have been a huge fan of this series since book one and this one did not disappoint.
I thought from the first few chapters it would be funny and light hearted (as light hearted as genetically engineered monsters can be) but then things shifted. This really got into the ethics of these beings and BioSynth and had a few scenes that were genuinely horrifying.
Not in a bad way. I'm a sensitive soul and it didn't make me cry, just want vengeance.
Haven is sweet and strong and Quin is sweet and funny all at once.
Can we give Mouse his treat now? 🥺

I was looking forward to Quinn’s book but sadly, this was not it for me.

Nothing really made sense. The dialogue was clunky, jagged and wholly unrealistic. I felt zero chemistry between the main couple, Quin’s personality was drowned out and I’m sorry, but there are WAY too many characters to keep track of.

The cover art is beautiful though. Shame Haven’s hair was described as black within the first ten pages, while the art shows her as a brunette 🤷‍♀️

I was sooo looking forward to this and it did not disappoint. I’m genuinely in it for the storyline at this point 😂 There’s light smut, and lots of feelings. I’m going to be real, I was very unsure of this Nana character but that changed this book. She was so supportive 😩. I’m excited for Rouls story (whenever that happens.) He deserves his happy ending. Just go ahead and make me his mate, k thanks bye. ♥️

I have waited for this book for what felt like forever, but it was well worth the wait! It was incredible. The mmc had me melting with how sweet he was, and I was so happy to see that he found him person. The fmc was also sweet but very strong. I adore the family that the brothers have with each other and that they are all finding their own person to be with. I can not wait for the next book!

I liked the banter between the two main characters and the storyline, which focused more on the lab that originally created the MMC. Told from both POV, the spice was okay but it has sorta become repetitive and the same as the previous books.

This was so good. It’s the third in a monster romance series called ‘Monstrous Guardians’ by Kenzie Kelly.

So far each one of these has exceeded my expectations and I’ve loved each of the MC’s.

This is so addictive and fast paced. I devoured these and absolutely loved every single second of them. I didn’t want to put the book down.

I’ve wanted to know Quin’s story for a while. He seemed interesting to begin with and he’s now one of my book boyfriends.

Haven was incredible and I loved how strong she was. Her story was compelling and I wanted to learn more about her and the odd connection she and Quin had through their mate bond.

It hurt reading about the break in at the beginning but it was amazing how Quin saved her.

I love the family that Quin and his brothers have and how they are with each other. The girls that are mates to the guys fit in so well. I loved Jade’s Nanna (Jade is Thurl’s mate) and how she fit in as well.

I really hated the people that Haven worked for and what they were using their company to do.

I look forward to more in this series.
