He’s a nuisance and an irritation, NOT my favorite content creator…
Kyran Bachelor, known to millions online as FrostPlays, is not hot, cool, or otherwise charming. To me, he’s two things and two things only.
First, he’s the bane of my existence, and second, he’s my brother-in-law.
Ever since my twin sister married into his family, I’ve gained four wonderful brothers and one absolute menace.
It just figures that, after eight months of torment, Kyran decides it’s a great time to confess undying love. Casually. Like it means both nothing and everything to him.
I know better than to think romantic relationships last. I’ve been used, abused, and tossed out one too many times. I’m not willing to risk the family I’ve found, but he’s not willing to give up without a fight.
So. Here we go.
Obsessed lunatic v. absolutely-not-in-denial me.
Let the games…begin. ~ This is a forced proximity, enemies to lovers romcom with plenty of sizzle, yet none of the spice. Fall in love with he falls first swoon, and enjoy the humorous world of Sunset, West Virginia.
Camilla Evergreen is an alias of USA Today bestselling author Anne Stryker. Originally intended as a dumping ground for all things lacking fantasy, Camilla/Anne came to the shocking discovery that writing sarcastic, chaotic romcoms full of quippy heroines and adoring heroes has a kick to it.
Camilla/Anne’s neurodivergent tendencies leave her hyperfocused on writing sweet and sassy romances from dawn till dusk and lending whatever her current creative obsessions are to her characters. From arranged marriages to falling for the boss, there’s lots of love to go around.
Camilla Evergreen has an unusual skill that involves the perfect understanding of various types of broken people. This story is no different, of course being “saved” from brokenness is always so much easier than it is in real life. Just add romance and “poof” instant cure.
I confess I enjoy these stories that are always clean romances, and somehow involve someone convincing their chosen partner that they’re perfect, regardless of how imperfect they may feel.
This story involves someone who thinks she is useless and unlovable, and a more famous online personality, who needs constant attention. I’m not sure why, but this one was as enjoyable as the others, but didn’t strike enough of a cord for more than four stars for this clean romance.
Oh my gosh, I love this book. I say that a lot, but it’s true every time. This book and this whole series has been fantastic. Morana and Kyran’s story is definitely one of my favorites.
Morana has such a big heart. She is always caring for others and putting their needs above her own. She is fiercely protective of the people she loves, but she also struggles with feeling like she isn’t enough and fears that once someone has had enough of her, they’ll leave. Because of that, she keeps her heart guarded to protect herself.
I loved how good Kyran was for Morana and how he constantly showed her that her worth is not dependent on whether she is useful. She doesn’t have to keep giving pieces of herself away and expect to be abandoned afterward, because that isn’t love. Kyran shows her that he will love her on both her good days and bad days, no matter what, because he loves her for who she is, not for what she can do. I also loved how respectful and patient he was with her.
This book made me laugh, and it made my heart melt. I am so sad that this series is over 😭💗💕
This book is all that I hoped for. I staying up late reading it as soon as it appeared on my kindle last night. Kyran is boyfriend/husband goals, times one million. My favorite Bachelor brother, and that's saying something, because they are all lovely. Morana is my favorite Bachelor lady. Together, they are of course my favorite Bachelor couple. This book just has so much sweet, endearing dialogue...several laugh out loud moments...just the best. I'll be rereading it soon!
I can’t believe we’re already at the end of the series.
Kyran is the last brother to claim his love. Not because he hasn’t been pursuing her; he has. Just not in a way that his love, Morana, understood. If you’ve read the previous four books in the series, you know the other brothers and their wives and almost-wives.. If you haven’t read the other books, well, you’ll probably still be able to figure out all of the relationships.
Kyran is also the youngest brother, and he makes a living as a streaming gamer (think Twitch). Well…making a living isn’t really what he’s doing; he and his brothers are filthy rich after inheriting their evil (yes, truly, EVIL) parents died. He knows he wants Morana as his wife. There’s no doubt in his mind. Morana, however, has many doubts, as she believes that he lives only to annoy her, and she continues to maintain that he’s her brother now, because her twin sister married one of his brothers, Zackery.
It’s cute that she thinks he won’t wife her up the moment she allows it.
It took less time than I thought it would for Morana to realize that Kyran is on the level where his feelings for her are concerned. Actually, I would say the man has little to no guile at all. He knows who he wants, and he won’t feel whole until she finally accepts him and marries him. He has trauma — lots of it — and battles nightmares nearly every night. And yet he is not closed off. In fact, he’s very open about his problems and how he deals with them.
Morana’s issues go back to one defining event — her best friend leaving her behind when she started dating someone. Honestly, I had my suspicions about her root problem, and I was not wrong. But you can’t talk someone out of thinking they’re the problem. You have to love them just as they are and give them support when they need it. And that’s just what Kyran does.
It’s hard to define which book in this series was my favorite. Every Bachelor brother has their own unique personality, making it very hard to compare any of them to each other. So let’s just say that I love all of the brothers, and their wives, equally. Now get the book.
Kyran is the youngest Bachelor brother, and a professional gamer with 5 million subs. Morana is the identical twin sister to Kyran's sister in law, Maelin. Morana's trust issues have trust issues, so she tries *really* hard to keep Kyran in his Brother Box. He...does not wish to be a brother, when husband is even a remote option.
Kyran, raised on a steady diet of e-boy and streamer culture, is not appropriate. In most situations. He is chill, and straight forward, and thinks he's hilarious, but tactful he is not. He has never been kissed, and is head over heels in love with the raven haired beauty that his brother hired to clean the house. I love how much he loves Morana. He falls deep and hard and passionately in love with everything about her, and is willing to wait as long as it takes for her to come around (while giving her full control over consent.) He would wait years if he had to, just to slowly tease her and coax her to trust him. I LOVED Morana's trust-issue arc that spanned the entire book. It truly doesn't come to a finale until the final chapters. (And oh. The last chapter. Hehehe. SO good. Fantastic way to end the series.) What you have here is two gamers that are learning to find their family, and it's beautiful. (Please also note - Morana and Maelin are the rare exception in this new Bachelor Family. Their parents are *excellent*. Five stars. No notes. )
Content notes - while still being clean and closed door, this book does push that boundary a little bit. It is fully closed door, but you aren't left wondering what happened behind that door. The jokes tend to be more inappropriate than not. Kyran also swears, quite a bit. It is all "bleeped out", in Camilla's fashion, but it is there. Firmly in PG-13 territory, never fear, but worth a mention.
This book is perfect for fans of gaming, streaming, online culture, meeting your idols, found family, One Good Dad Out Of The Bunch, and love that is very, very obvious. (Thank you, Camilla Evergreen, for an early copy. I'm honored, and loved the story. All opinions are, of course, my own.)
The final book of the Bachelor Brother series features online gaming streamer celebrity Kyran Bachelor and his (un)healthy obsession with his sister-in-law (only because his brother found her sister first) and housekeeper, Morana.
Morana tries to keep Kyran at arm's length, treating him as a brother, much like the rest of his family. She is constantly nagging him to pick up after himself, yet he seems to enjoy her attentions, worshipping her to the very point that he can't do without her.
I loved these two grumpy gremlins. They feed off each other's grumpiness and chaos. Neither feels they are good enough for the other, they have issues in their past that affect their present. Kyran is a darling though, although he has no sense of personal boundaries. Despite this he was also extremely respectful and patient with Morana, constantly showing her how much she meant to him and how much she deserved to take up space in the world. He loves completely and deeply, commiting his whole heart to Morana unconditionally. Morana is more reserved, she finds it hard to trust people as she's been let down before, but she does love selflessly when she lets you in.
There was a lot of unpacking in this book, Kyran has nightmares constantly and only Morana can soothe them. Morana was let down by someone she trusted and only Kyran can help her realise her worth.
I loved how the end wrapped up the whole series, especially patient, grumpy little Viktor who's been waiting since Book One.
This book was fantastic. Morana is snarky, thoughtful, and devoted to being there for those she loves while trying her best to not get too close to people to prevent herself from being hurt again from previous relationships (friendship included) in the past. Kyran is genuine, funny, and loyal to his loved ones and cherishes any time he spends with Morana. The main characters’ interactions are funny, sassy, and swoony that treat each other's vulnerability with care. It was fabulous seeing familiar faces from the previous books in the series (RIP Viktor for being the first to get engaged and his brothers beating him to the aisle 🤣). I wanted to give both of the main characters hugs/preferred signs of affection multiple times, and found the portrayal of Kyran's insomnia and Morana's abandonment and trust issues due to a previous friendship relatable and I cheered them on as they grew more confident in themselves and relationship with each other (seriously I don't even have a diary how does Camilla keep making characters I relate to every single time?). Also, I love Morana’s point system, the towns/plushies etc. she has and her decor skills (I want all the shinies). Overall, if you like sassy banter, complex characters, found family, pining, and sweet forced proximity/ enemies-to-lovers/ grumpy x grumpy romance, then I highly recommend this book. I got a copy and these opinions on my own.
The final Bachelor brother has met his match and finally snared her. No kidnapping involved (surprisingly). And while I am sad the series is over, this is such a perfect end to tales of damaged brothers and their attempts at character growth and healthy relationships- usually through some sort of subterfuge.
Morana and Kyran are just an absolute delight. While some might call Morana a bully, I just think her love language is snark. Anyone who pays attention would see all the little ways she takes care of him because she cares, even going so far as to totally revamp his bedroom into a sleep oasis to help with his insomnia. As the story goes on, we peel back the layers and see how much she cares for everyone, to the detriment of her own needs sometimes, all because she has some misconceptions about what she deserves.
Kyran, cute little sandwich obsessed gamer that he is, bullies her right back in all the ways he can, just to get a little more attention from his mistress. He is a little more subtle in the ways he cares for Morana, and puts her needs first, but that just makes it more romantic.
This book is for you if you love obsessed boys, slightly oblivious girls, lots of banter and teasing, some swoony moments up against a hallway wall, and a story of care and compassion.
All the Bachelor brothers have been examples of how to rise above long term familial trauma, and really appreciate those around you who add to your life in positive ways. This series is funny, and sweet and surprisingly hot for being closed door stories. Character growth and healthy boundaries abound for everyone!
Thanks to the author for the advanced copy. All opinions are my own.
Denying the Gamer by Camilla Evergreen is finding confidence in yourself.
As the final brother to be married in the Bachelor family, this book was the conclusion of a beautiful series. This one especially took a different turn with our FMC having to get over her struggles, and believe that she is enough. That's something that Camilla tries to inscribe into our skin every time we read one of her novels. We are enough, and we will always be enough. And despite her past mistakes we are always worthy of forgiveness and it's beautiful.
🎮He falls first and hard 🎮Forced Proximity 🎮Mental Health Rep 🎮All the yearning 🎮Gamer 🎮Enemies to lovers
Camilla also makes characters who YEARN. Characters that only live and breathe for one another, they go to such extreme lengths to make sure that they feel appreciated, they feel seen, they feel loved. And it really set my expectations high and it made me want what these characters have. Love that starts from the very organs of their body, love that will break down any challenge, love that speaks, and love that acts. Who doesn't want that? Camilla makes me feel safe with her books.
Just when I thought I couldn’t love a Bachelor Brother romance any harder Camilla goes and ups her game.
Kyran and Morana’s love story… I am a gooey puddle of melted emotion right now over this perfect ending to the Bachelor Brothers series.
Kyran has been more of a quiet dark horse in the background, though he has moments of sheer brilliance in Lukas’ and Clara’s story. So finally getting to see inside our gamer boy’s heart and discovering all the ways he adores Morana’s gruff and grumpy heart is so endearing. Their chemistry is insanely fun and heartwarming from start-to-finish, and watching Morana slowly emerging from behind her walls touched me deeply.
I cannot recommend this series highly enough to fans of clean romance (they are mostly all PG, but this one never crosses beyond a mild PG-13 for some innuendo). All sex is closed door, out of sight and only between the married couples. The banter, the joys of falling in love, even when characters have hard pasts to overcome- these stories are about people who were once broken finding their way back into the light and discovering happiness with one another.
Definite must read… in fact, now that I finished this one I now get to go back to the start for one delicious binge-read of all five books! Woo hoo!
Camilla makes me so invested into her books then she just ends a series! Like she’s supposed to! But WHY?
I lo ved this story. I loves the characters. Except actually… I didn’t like one character. Her stupid friend Talia or something like that. I couldn’t stand her enough to remember her name. She’s a brat. Can’t stand her. Next.
Kyran though was so cute. I just love him. And Morana love her too. They were perfect for eachother.
I just love watching character growth. Like they start off with flaws they hate or think are bad. And in the end they just except themselves. It’s beautiful. I hated Morana’s insecurities and issues because I felt for her. I didn’t like the way she thought of herself. But I’m glad we got to watch her accept herself with Kyran’s love. He’s so cute and sweet and adorable.
Let’s be real. Every time I read a book from Camilla I swoon and fall in love. There hasn’t been one book of her’s I didn’t like.
So I totally recommend this book. Must read. Do it now. Thx.
Also… I’m super excited for her secret project with Storm… the flag day book?… IYKYK
Absolute Perfection! This is how you close out a series! Camilla, has a way with writing that completely captivates you from the start. She breaks down walls, makes you feel like you’re inside the story, and heals parts of yourself you didn’t even realize were broken.
The character growth Morana went through felt so realistic and it was never rushed. It was more about accepting who she was as a person, realizing she didn’t need to change herself for others and only keeping people in her life that value her as a person.
Kyran is completely head over heels for her and would do anything just to have an ounce of her attention. They were absolutely perfect for each other.
The Bachelor Brothers series can be read as a standalone, but the experience is even better when read in order. I’m so sad this series is over, but I already know I’ll be rereading it again and again!

Bachelor Brothers book 5....We've come to the end, and what an finale it was! Now I don't like to pick favourites, but tough, Kyran Bachelor is most definitely my favourite, the youngest, profession gamer and the tiniest bit hermit-ish has fallen head over heels and then some with his brothers wife's twin sister... not complicated at all. He's spent months pining and biding his time, but also doing everything he possibly could to garner attention from Morana, even if it's to annoy her. Morana has been hiding a secret crush on Kyran, and is his biggest fan, with signed t-shirt to match! But she has a lot of issues with trust and Kyran has been studying her well, he knows her issues and does everything he can to show her she's it for him. It's no ground breaking news that yet another Bachelor brother has fallen hard and it's hilarious to read the running joke on Viktor (IYKYK). Kyran is the biggest sap of all the brothers and I LOVED IT.
I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own.
As any good Bachelor Brother should be, Kyran is absolutely OBSESSED with Morana from the get go. But then again…she’s got a bit of an obsession herself. I enjoyed getting a better understanding of who Kyran is and why he functions the way he does after seeing him throughout his brothers’ books.
Morana has a hard time trusting that she is worthy of love and affection. I loved seeing her slowly unravel the pieces of her story that made her this way and come to a new understanding of herself and those around her. Watching her try to deny her attraction to Kyran was fun, in that “it’s so obvious she wants him even if she won’t admit it” kind of way.
These two are the epitome of black cat/grumpy and I loved seeing them fall and become maybe just a little less so as they found safety in each other. The banter between them is fantastic!
It is a bit bittersweet to come to the end of the Bachelor Brothers saga, but this 5th and final book ties up the series in a beautiful way and I am so happy for each of the Bachelor men and the women they adore.
Kyran Bachelor is a major gamer who has millions of followers. He likes to irritate and get Morana riled up. He lives in Sunset, West Virginia a place his brother started and basically owns and rent out.
Morana is the Bachelor's maid and she gets after Kyran for not putting his clothes in the hamper. She struggles with self-worth. Kyran is determined to show her how worthy and valuable she really is.
Once again, Camilla gives us a wacked and hilariously weird book. This is the perfect concluding book to this series.
I loved the epilogue, the banter, the protectiveness Kyran shows, and his dedication to helping Morana see her worth.
There are no swears only "beeps" e.g., "he swears." There is no alcohol consumption and level 3 kisses only with one very closed fade-to-black after marriage which shows just how precious waiting until marriage is. First Person Present, dual POV.
I have been itching for Kyran's book since the start of this series - and this book was exactly what I was hoping it would be. I love Kyran and Morana together, their chemistry is awesome, their snark to each other, the way they care for each other, all of it. As always with this author, read the authors note because she does a fabulous job of setting up what to expect without giving away the plot. This was a bittersweet read, simply because I'm not ready for the Bachelor brothers' world to end, but here we are at the end of the series - there are no more brothers to find love and marry off before their big brother. I read an early copy, this one should be snagged as soon as it goes live! I do think having read the previous books in the series would be recommended, simply because the other brothers and their significant others do play heavily into the plot line. Enjoy!
It is so bittersweet to see the end of a series. You fall in love with all of the characters, and you really don’t want to see them go, even though you do want to see how the final Bachelor brother gets his match. There are many hints about Kyran and Morana’s relationship in the previous books, but their actual book is so precious. I would say that this book is the lightest of the series, but in no way is it any less than the others. There are many cameos by the characters from the previous books in the series, and there is a HEA for all of them at the end, which I am sure is a spoiler to no one. And then Camilla Evergreen has to throw in a preview of the first book of her older How To series, which makes me want to go back and reread all of those as well…her books are just that good!
The perfect book to conclude the Bachelor Brother series. These brothers know how to yearn and love with everything they are. They find their love and that’s it for them, for life. Their women tend to need some convincing, but boy do they ever convince them. Kyran set out to convince Morana to love him and in the end ended up helping her learn that her existence alone was enough to be loved unconditionally. A few quotes I loved: “Where’s the line between ‘stalking’ and ‘playful disregard for boundaries’?” “If I don’t coinky-dink this man in the skull before I’ve finished my first dessert, that will be a miracle.” “Loving you means being there for you, when you need me, how you need me. I will endure the blissful torture of wanting you in other ways so you can have me in the way you need.”
First I would like to say this book does have a scene that is fade to black. I know there’s all different levels of what people are comfortable with in the clean/sweet romcom field, so I wanted to make that known.
The Bachelor Brothers finally come to an end, which is kind of sad. I love the town of Sunset and all of the characters from this series.
Kyran and Morana are really quite the pair. I would say that they have a lot of trauma and character development to do, but you wouldn’t be reading one of these books if you weren’t prepared for that.
Morana’s hidden soft side is beautiful. I love that. It feels genuine and not too forced, and that she still is herself and it feels like she can be safe with Kyran. And I love a dopey, drooly, man-boy that is smitten but not an idiot!
Kyran is so obsessed with Morana and I'm so here for it, I devoured this in one day because I could not put it down. Obsessed with these books. Sorry back to the story and the actual review must stop fan girling over all the sweet and also hot things Kyran said to her. He at times is so unhinged but technically she asked for this and he will do anything for her. Morana i just wanted to hug / shake at times because I just wanted her to wake up and knock those walls down to trust this obsessed man. It truly shows how some people have the biggest impact on your life and they don't even realise it.
Right I'm off to go back and reread lots of Camilla's books now.... it's not a problem shhh
These Bachelor brothers! They come from a dark past but they’re trying to heal in their various ways - some healthier than others. 😂 Kyran is full on obsessed with Morana. He falls first, he falls harder, AND he helps her heal. This man is so very gone on her. Camilla writes intense, quirky romance filled with imperfect people who love and fall in love imperfectly. She always puts in a hilarious but spot on reader expectations and warnings. If those are important to you - don’t skip it. I really had fun with this one! Kissing is steamy but door is closed. This one has an almost fade to black moment as well - it’s intense. Definitely level 3 if you’re familiar with @closeddoorromance rating scale.
I received an ARC of this book and oh boy! As with all of the other Bachelor brothers' stories, I'm obsessed with this one. It brings back all of the traumatized, flawed, lovable characters we know and weaves them into a story of healing and hope. I cried. I laughed. I swooned.
This is a closed door, steamy contemporary romance with characters who are a little unhinged (in all the best ways). The way Kyran loves Morana - excellent, no notes. The way he accepts all the dark parts of himself and of her - perfection. If I could sum up this book, it would be "I'm going to push and push until I'm sure I can't push you away," and it was absolutely lovely.
This has been such a great series and this book is a fantastic ending to the series. The author is so great at tugging at the heart strings and completely capturing my attention.
The FMC does not know her own worth. She believes she it’s stupid and can never trust anyone to stay in her life. Life has taught her these lessons. If you’ve ever felt this way then you’ll love this character’s story!
The MMC is amazing but has issues of his own- what they are I can’t remember because he is so devoted to the FMC and her happiness! They are the perfect match for each other and are definitely swoon worthy!
The Bachelor Brothers series is officially over and I’m missing it already. 🥹
This book tells the story of the youngest bachelor Kyran and his leading lady Morana. Like always with Camilla the story is funny, heartfelt, and unique in its own way. 🥰
This series truly gives you one of the best found family you could ever ask for and if that’s what you’re looking for make sure to read every single book in the series. 💌
❤Found family 🗡Nothing but banter 🌲Incredible amounts of pining annnnnnnnnnd 💍Now we're married ++Much more!!
I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
4⭐️ Grumpy X grumpy is how these two look to the world, but there’s so much care and vulnerability between them. I really enjoyed how the focus was on their relationship as it grew instead of focusing on denying feelings. Kyran’s total honesty was so refreshing. I loved how his crazy exceeded hers every time, unapologetically.
This can be read as part of the series or alone. It’s fun to see the other characters who had their own books, but you can still enjoy the book without that context. Many of the women have very similar struggles, so it can feel like you’re reading the same character journey multiple times, but if you don’t mind that, then reading them together is fun.
Loved this whole series but especially this last one.
The awareness, growth, healing, vulnerability, all the normal things from this author that is so unique and special.
The banter and flirting were top notch too!
Content: Style - Dual POV, Contemporary RomCom (forced proximity) Intimacy - Very High (1 almost fade to black, 1 real fade to black, touching butt and thighs, lots of talking about intimacy and flirting) Language - None (“Oh swearing word’) Violence - None Potential Triggers - Bad past relationships, past abuse, insomnia, struggles with boundaries
And the final book in these series is finally here. I'm gonna miss all this chaos and found family. Kyran was so obsessed and in love with Morana, he wanted her and it broke his heart his heart that she wouldn't give them a chance. Morana was afraid to get her heart broken again. Trusting people isn't easy and she couldn't go through that again. But thank God she gave Kyran a chance. She liked him too, she just was afraid to admit it out loud and to herself. They made a very cute couple, I loved their dynamic
So, yeah, it turns out these book have crack in them. Six stars is my minimum rating. Not one person can tell me they do not love Kyran. He is a lovesick grumpy puppy. A smiling gargoyle of pure stone unless his love deigns him with her presence. Morana was a sweet baby with claws, and we wouldn't have her any other way. She has issues, but so does Kyran, and honestly, so does everyone else. I have enjoyed every minute of this series and am so sad to see it end😭😭. Camilla better give us a stack more books ASAP. P.S. stuff you Talira.
