Into You: A Slow-Burn Enemies-to-Lovers Romance
She plans weddings for a living.
He destroys marriages in court.
Kiana Mercer believes in happily ever after.
As one of Nashville’s most sought-after wedding planners, she’s built her career turning love stories into unforgettable celebrations. Romance is her business, and she’s proud of it.
Unfortunately, the man next door disagrees.
Darius Steele is a ruthless divorce attorney whose explosive arguments with clients bleed straight through the walls of Kiana’s office—costing her business and testing her patience.
He believes love is a liability.
She believes it’s worth everything.
Naturally, they can’t stand each other.
But when their families collide and Kiana is suddenly planning a wedding for Darius’s sister, the last person she expects to work with is him.
Now they’re stuck together for six long weeks.
Six weeks of venue tours.
Cake tastings.
Late nights arguing over every detail.
And the more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to ignore the tension simmering between them.
Because beneath Darius’s cold exterior is a devoted single father who’s been burned once already.
And beneath Kiana’s confidence is a woman who refuses to stop believing in love—even when it feels impossible.
But falling for each other was never part of the plan.
And when the wedding is over, they’ll have to decide if what’s growing between them is just another mistake…
Or the love story neither of them saw coming.

This book is me being introduced to this author. It was definitely a slow-burn! I took a chance on this author and story and I loved it. Darius and Kiana!
There was no hero or heroine, just two souls that were passionate about what they did, as a profession. Each had situations that were stumbling obstacles to moving forward. Darius was such a hardened man because of his ex. He was against marriage, PERIODT! He had to learn not to continue carrying everything alone. He really did need to try letting some of that hate go against his cheating a## ex wife. Glad that Kiana was instrumental in helping him to soften some.
Kiana was resilient in keeping her wedding event business afloat, even at times when it seemed nothing good was for her. Hoping for that big break.
Amarya, his daughter, was too cute. Loved her little energy and inquisitive nature. I died laughing near the end when she raced out the reception announcing she had 4 dinner rolls, per her grandma, she stole them off other's plates/tables.
Jaylen and Naomi, all they wanted to do was love on each other and not be involved in the planning. Those 2 had an emotional moment & situation revealed 12 days before the wedding. They fixed it together.

Babbyyy this was definitely a slow burn! I enjoyed the story and tension build up. I also felt like this story was very realistic in how they fell for each other. Darius upset me pulling away from Kiana cause of his baby mama but I appreciated how Kiana stood beside him when she showed up to the wedding rehearsal and how she was able to still give him good, sound advice regarding how he should handle her. I enjoyed the fact that Darius and Kiana were basically polar opposites but I loved that Kiana was some happy go lucky naive girl. She stood her ground and said the things that upset her.
Sidebar: I think this is my first read by a male romance author and I was pleasantly surprised. Would definitely pick up another book from this author!

A nice read
This was a 3.5 for me. There were a lot of moments I enjoyed, like Amara and Darius's interactions, Brittany's humbling and Naomi's offer to beat her up on Darius's behalf. There were two main things that kept me from rating it higher, though: the editing (there were a few instances were a wrong name or term was used) and the romance itself. I really didn't feel the chemistry between Kiana and Darius, not even after things progressed between them.
And Kiana advocating for Brittany...I understood the sentiment but I kinda hated that, especially with how Brittany was acting. But that's subjective.

It Had Potential
I’ve held on to this one for a while in anticipation for reading it, unfortunately it just didn’t do it for me.
The premise was great but I honestly didn’t feel the romance.
Darius seemed stand-off ish throughout most of the book because of a past love. Kiana appeared to always be the one to turn the other cheek.
I kept thinking well maybe he doesn’t even like you like that. She was definitely more interested in him than he was her.
Kiana was more the aggressor in the relationship or whatever it was.
Just when I thought we were getting somewhere the book just ended.

Surprise, surprise
This story was so enjoyable to read. I couldn’t figure out why I was getting such an in-depth point of view from the MMC and it wasn’t until I reached the last page and saw the authors pic, that it made sense.
The story wasn’t rushed, and I had the opportunity to really get to know the characters. This story is a love story with an HEA, but it also dealt with real life issues. Especially how if we aren’t careful, we let the past dictate our future.
Excellent read❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

So good
This book was precisely written. It was calculated, meaningful, and the storyline was amazing. The writing was grown. The sentence structure flowed, and every word led you to what was going to happen next. It was just good writing. This book was so good. I truly enjoyed it.

this was not enemies to lovers. more dislike to love. or “i don’t know you but you rub me the wrong way” to love. i l feel like it was mostly bones and needed more time to flush the story out. i enjoyed it but it was quick and i think even 50 more pages would’ve added to the storyline. i really liked kiana and darius and felt like their story deserved more. 2.5/5

Good book
I love a good enemies to lovers romance with strong characters. This is the first book I have read by Corey Johnson and I really enjoyed it. I already ordered the Rooted in Grace series and can't wait to read it.

Listen... SINGLE DAD TROPE? GETS ME EVERYTIME!
I LOVE LOVE A Well written single father!
Into You is SLOW slow, but the tension between Kiana and Darius had me like, is we fawkinnn or nah?!
The bickering. The forced proximity. The tension. I ate.
ADD IT TO THE TBR
