If you love the motorcycle romances of Joanna Wylde and Julie Ann Walker, don’t miss Violetta Rand’s irresistible novel about a sexy-as-sin biker who tempts a good girl to go bad.

Lang Anderson may be the new leader of the Sons of Odin motorcycle club, but his personal life is in shreds. He’s struggling to take care of his three young sisters in the wake of tragedy, while rumors of drug dealing within his ranks jeopardize everything he’s built. The last thing he needs is another distraction—like a bar brawl over a woman—but Lang is a sucker for a damsel in distress. And this one gets him roaring like a finely tuned engine.

High school guidance counselor Lily Gallo is no fender bunny. So why can’t she get Lang off her mind? Lily’s head says the rugged, rough-and-tumble biker who came to her aid is bad news. Her body begs to differ. But when Lang’s troubled kid sister walks into her office, Lily’s determined to help, even if it puts her in the crossfire of a gang war. On a crash course with danger and desire, Lily partners up with Lang to fight for his family—and for love.

"I think someone likes the idea of getting involved with a Texas bad boy after all."

description

Persuasion is the first book in A Sons of Odin Series. Violetta Rand offers a light blend of romance and MC drama.

"Remember, you get one box of tissues in life, use them sparingly."

description

Set in the Corpus Christi, TX, The Sons of Odin MC is an established motorcycle club in the community. The club was passed down to Lang Anderson after his father (the Club President) was suddenly killed. Because his mother was also killed, he also inherits his three younger sisters. Lang has to adjust to his new life as he balances the commitment of being a single "father" and leading his club. He has never opened his heart up to the love of one woman but when Lily Gallo moves into town she catches his eye and an instant attraction is born.

"Always the practical girl, the one who approached situations with a clear mind, she'd fallen apart the minute she met him."

description

Lily is a guidance counselor who is looking for a fresh start. She is very independent and driven professionally. Additionally, she thrives under order and structure. (Everything that LANG is not!) However, on the first day of her new job her first patient is brought in and (you guessed it) it's Lang's younger sister who is in need of some special TLC. Although Lang and Lily try to fight their attraction to one another, they eventually fall into each other's arms and a heated relationship begins.

"They both knew now-their bodies were speaking for them. He slammed into her this time, and she cried his name. Again. She melted underneath him."

The sexual chemistry between Lily and Lang is quite explosive and I thoroughly enjoyed the intimate moments these two shared. There was the typical conflict of a "good girl" trying to find her way in the "big bad biker world" but for the most part the connection between the two was sincere and flowed naturally throughout the read. Additionally, the plot had some unique twists in which kept me engaged throughout.

description

"You're mine, Lily"

"Yours"

What works well in this read is the easy rapport between Lily and Lang. Both characters are extremely likable and sincere throughout. The passion between the two is highly enjoyable to experience and the family connection (with his siblings) only enhanced the plot by keeping the emotional connections a driving force throughout. The writing style is fluid and the pacing is well executed. The plot was well developed with a clear beginning and middle and yet, I felt like the end was slightly rushed. Additionally, based on the character development throughout the read, I was slightly perplexed with the ending only because it seemed disconnected from the rest of the story.

description

"Time doesn't heal wounds but it provides some clarity."

Overall, Persuasion was a likable read with a light and easy feel. Although this is categorized as an MC book, I felt like the MC elements of the story were set in the background while center stage was focused on the conflict between Lily and Lang finding their way together. This was a sweet story and I would definitely read more from this author in the future!

Ms. Rand definitely took this biker genre and gave it a whole new flavor. I mean, who would ever think about a biker doing these sorts of things?
1. Swim at a resort in board shorts
2. Take romantic walks on the beach
3. Wine & Dine his woman
4. Give his woman flowers
5. Go to a normal night club
6. Own a normal night club- NOT a strip club
7. DATING - not sex, but actual dates

Basically, what I'm saying is, I really liked this whole new outlook on a biker. One of the characters was a banker- imagine that!

This was definitely outside the box, which I appreciate. I liked how the couple met, how he basically lived two lives: one for the club, and the second for his family. He made a point of keeping his personal and club lives separate. After all, he had three girls to raise and he didn't want them to end up in the biker way of life.

Lang meets Lily at a night club when another MC tries to corner her and her friend. He basically saves the day and they become strongly attracted to each other. The only prob is- they both misjudge the other based off their backgrounds. She thinks he's a bad 1% biker who is a criminal and he thinks she's too good for the likes of a biker based off how she acts and talks as well as thinks. She definitely challenges him and pushes his buttons.

In the end, he blows her off and goes on his way. They meet again at her work through his sister. That's when he realizes he has to have her- no matter what. She pushes him to think about things in other ways then what he's used to, and he wants to be a better man for her and his family. He shows her a little more scarier side of life but she knows no matter what, she wants him.

It was interesting to see him still try to live his two separate lives and how it hard it was becoming for him. I liked how even though Lily didn't always like the things she learned about the MC, she tried to be with the man she met at the night club, who wines and dines her, who loves and cares passionately for his family. Though, she did have struggles with inner turmoil over some ways of the club life. She just wanted to look passed it and find the good in Lang. In the end, I liked and was pleasantly surprised, with the ending.

Lang- possessive, passionate, protective, could be seriously dangerous, MC President who followed the laws & bylaws of the MC. He even makes a brother pull out the rules of the MC and read them out loud. Good older brother, caregiver, and boyfriend.

Lily- sweet, loving, smart, caring, guidance counselor. She learns to accept Lang as he is and keeps her trap shut about the ways of MC life outside of the MC.

I liked how Lang was with his brothers, family, and Lily. And I liked how Lily was with Lang and his sisters. I also really liked Vincent, a brother in the MC- which I look forward to reading about in book 2.

I only wished that the BFF, Tina, had more of a role in the book. I also wish that the story line of the school situation had a little more to it as well as the two biker clubs situation at the club. Overall, I enjoyed this story.

Wow, I loved this. This may be a MC book but it didn't have all the crime and grit. Yes, it did include that somewhat but it mainly focused on Lang Anderson, (he's fulfilling enough on his own) who became the president of the Sons of Odin after the former president was sent to prison.

A night out on the town is when his world collides with that of a guidance counselor, Lily Galo. He is an alpha MC President at twenty seven years old and an older brother... Raising his three little sisters, fourteen, twelve, and six. That's hot, right? Oh, I think so! I love that he played those two roles separately. You got to see the hard ass President at one time then the next, a big brother his little sisters adore.

After meeting Lily that night at a club, they go their separate ways. Soon they encounter each other again at the school where Lily is the guidance counselor. Maya, the oldest of his three little sisters has been having emotional difficulties so they are there seeking help. Lily realizes just how wrong she was to stereotype the bad boy biker.

"I thank God every day for all of them. And for you."~~LANG

I loved everything about Lily. She was sweet, strong, used logical thinking when it came to the clubs ways and how to understand them and she was a natural at nurturing. I could just feel her personality if that makes sense. Lily was exactly what Lang's little sisters needed.

"I forget my place in your world sometimes."~~LILY

He placed his hand over his heart. "You're inside here now. Good luck getting out, baby."~~LANG *Squeal!*

I just simply adored this couple and the storyline is fantastic! Although, I did not see it ending the way it did but I enjoyed every bit! This was definitely worth my time.

Persuasion is the first book I have read from Violetta Rand and unfortunately the last, it was a DNF at 33%. I really tried to continue but I didn't like the writing or the dialogue because they both felt awkward to me. Lang at this point told me what a badass he was but from what I could see he came across as a wanna be biker and Lily was just there nothing impressive about her. As I said I only reached 33% so I can only comment on what I have read and it wasn't enough to continue.

I could tell Lang would be one possessive man, "he growled. “If you were my old lady, I’d punish you for talking about other men.” I loved Lily that girl had spunk, “I’ll put a ‘Property of Lily’ patch right here.” She grabbed two handfuls of a**, hugging him closer to her body. Lang growled with approval." I loved this book I can't wait for the next one in the series.

3.5 stars (Lang's decision killed a star)

Lang, bad boy MC Prez, has it bad for Lily, his sister's school counselor. The club is coming out of a bad situation caused by the previous president. Danger lurks for Lily and his sisters. Lots of great other members of the MC to get to know more about in future books.

Lang Anderson has a lot going on right now. His parents have passed away recently leaving him to care for his three younger sisters, on top pf that his MC president has been sent to prison and he had to take over the position. He’s trying to legitimise the operation so the last he needs is to become involved with an opinionated woman after he saves her from a bar room brawl, but that’s exactly what happens when Lily Gallo turns out to be his troubled eldest sister’s new guidance counsellor. While Lily is dealing with the aftermath of her parents’ divorce she’s not really all that keen on relationships at the moment.

Lang is not your typical MC Alphahole and I enjoyed the fact that he could still be sexy without being a controlling prick. Lily was tough and sassy and she spoke her mind. She didn’t readily submit to all of Lang’s demands and she questioned him at every turn. Both these characters were contradiction and it made for a very interesting romance with some very hot chemistry and sexy times.

Persuasion is not your typical MC romance and I must admit that I missed some of the violence and MC dynamics that usually go hand in hand with this genre and after a while Lily began to annoy me with her constant judgment of the lifestyle. Most of the attention was given to the relationship and I felt as if the various sub-plots were just there as catalyst for Lang and Lily to get together and then either forgotten, ignored or conveniently tied up towards the end when they longer became useful to the plot. I can’t help but think that it would have made for a more interesting read if these plots were explored more. We never do get to see a lot of interaction with Lang and his sister’s, there was no development with the troubled Maya so we are just left to assume that all her issues were dealt with. The ending felt rushed with everything being tied into a neat little bow and the exciting start felt unbalanced with the way it ended.

Still, I enjoyed the new angle on a biker alpha the author presented and I liked that lily was no pushover. The steamy moments were hella hot with their penchant for semi-public sex and Lang’s dirty words. All in all this was an easy and enjoyable romance that was relatively fast paced and low on angst and drama.

4 slow burning and place finding stars. The story has a lot of focus on Lang's personal life, Lang and Lily coming together, and how the coming together blurs lines rather than bloodshed, angst, and MC wars. I found I liked this approach quite a bit since it makes it just different enough while still staying in the MC sphere of contemporary romance. Lang's a great hero in all that he does, says, and is. Lily is a great heroine in her way of being, her attitude, and her tender heart.

Lang's not only the president of the Sons of Odin MC but also a big brother and fill-in parent to his three younger sisters since their parents death. Lang finds himself living a dual life between being a parent figure to his younger sisters and now running the MC he's been a part of for years. In all his own chaos, Lang doesn't need a distraction but that's what Lily presents. She entices him, takes care of his family like her own, and makes him want things he never wanted before.

Lily never expected to see the sexy biker again after the meeting at the bar but in he walks as one of her newest cases guardian. She's shocked, intrigued, and a little in awe. He's gorgeous still but now she's seeing a different side of him. Lily ran to Texas in search of a new position for a few reasons including the messy divorce her parents were currently going through, her father's betrayal, and the death of one of her student's in South Philadelphia. She loves helping "troubled" teens find their way and giving them hope for the future which is how Lang's sister becomes one of hers.

The story twists and curls around Lang and Lily as they further tangle themselves together. When Lang makes her his girlfriend and places his claim, Lily struggles to really understand what that means. MC life is much different than regular civilian life but she finds she's more than willing to learn if she gets to keep Lang. There's a few moments where things take a sharp left to remind you that MC's aren't all sunshine and roses and even a nice touch at the end when Lang and Lily plan to have a future together.

There were parts of this book I really liked but there were also parts I really didn't like. Lang is the prez of his MC club. He's a badass biker who follows club rules - the club and his brothers come first. He's raising his 3 little sisters after the death of their parents. Lily is the new guidance counselor at his sisters school. Although this book is about a motorcycle club, there really wasn't any drama with other women or Lily having to run into the pass-arounds that Lang had before he met Lily. I liked that there wasn't any drama with other women like a lot of the MC books I have read before this. Where I really had an issue with this book was the last 10% - it seemed really out of character for Lang who was the MC. Also, the deal with Lily's dad - I hated that part of the book. The steamy scenes were really hot though and I did like Lang and Lily together. I enjoyed this book, I just didn't love it.

What could be more combustible than a hard-core, tough-as-nails biker and a girl-next-door-with-an-inner-wild-child counselor? Throw in some intellect, loyalty, and more charm that a trinket store, and you get a rowdy romp meant to be read in one sitting.

Lang’s bad boy don’t-fuck-with-me attitude is a force to be reckoned with. His authoritative behavior is not only a necessity for his role as president of the Sons of Odin, but it’s evident from the first sentence. He’s strong, intelligent, and has a sweet fatherly side that could make any girl swoon. My unsureness about his characters was dissolved the moment his sisters were introduced. He’s full of surprises, and that whole alpha male thing he’s got going on can make a woman reevaluate her what-I-want-in-a-husband checklist; which is exactly what happened to Lily.

Lily is full of surprises herself, and no one was happier to discover them than Lang. The exchanges between them are sexy emotional foreplay leading right up to the steaming physical. Neither could outsmart the other, and what fun they had getting acquainted – and what fun I had “watching” it all unfold.

The suspense and in-control violence gives an inside look into the Brother’s lives which keeps the story real. There are no kittens and rainbows and unicorns. Readers get a first-hand look at Lang’s life, and Rand did a note-worthy job of making him loveable without taking away his roughness. His gentle, firm presence in his sister’s lives, and the way he can combine his dedication to both families, is further testament to the author’s abilities. The characters are well-rounded, and both develop emotionally. Kudos to Rand!

Lily had her own struggles, and she dealt with her life the best she could – with help from her bestie. Her being a counselor to troubled kids didn’t equate to a perfect life for herself. She had her own battles to fight, and those struggles made her real.

It’s a fast-paced story, but time seemed to go unnoticed. I know there’s more for Vincent and Tina; I feel it in my spirit, and I can’t wait to read it on my Kindle.

Talk about opposites that attract. That would explain Lang and Lily and their unexpected romance. Lang is balancing being the newly elected President of the Sons of Odin MC and guardian for his three sisters. The bright spot of his life is when he saves Lily at a local bar from a drunk patron. The draw between the two is unquestionable but after a kiss the two put a hold on their attraction. This all changes when Lang is called to the school for his sister’s behavior and Lily is the guidance counselor. Lang is not only the tough alpha we all love but he has a soft and gentle side that he doesn’t show many people. He is protective of those he loves but dangerous to his enemies. Lily is the confident and self-assured woman that knows what she wants and that’s Lang. These two have many twists on their road to romance but together they can handle anything. This was a great story with drama, humor and combustible chemistry.

Rand enters the subgenre of the MC with a twist that makes it all her own. The plot was fast paced and exciting. Her vivid writing brings everything to life in an unforgettable way. At the same time, she really humanizes the world surrounding the MC, without detracting from the aura. It was an excitingly fascinating whole.

Her characters come to life in a way that makes them seem to be part of your life. The hero of the tale is quite multifaceted. I loved how we got to see all sides of him: family man, MC president, lover. He was the perfect contrast for the heroine in the tale. I loved the way that they came together and how they contrasted one another, while also fitting together perfectly. Surrounded by the fantastic secondary characters that Rand rounds out her story with, this was a cast to be remembered.

Rand never fails to bring the heat to her exciting and fast paced novels. This one is definitely no exception. It is the perfect start to what promises to be an unforgettable series.

After the president of Lang's MC is arrested and charged with murder Lang finds himself the new president. While out partying with his brothers Lang see's Lilly and saves her from a rival MC, and Lang finds himself wanting to get to know this woman who isn't afraid to speak her mind. Lily needed a change so she moved to Texas, while out with a friend Lilly is saved by Lang. The attraction is so strong neither can deny it and Lilly soon finds that there is so much more to Lang than it first seemed. After a few weeks neither can forget the other and on Lilly's first day of work at her new job Lilly and Lang meet again. After the death of his parents Lang got custody of his three sisters, and since their death his oldest sister has had a hard time adjusting, which is why Lilly is assigned as her new school counselor.

Scheduling a meeting to talk about Lang's sister, what starts as a professional meeting soon turns to more. Now lang and Lilly's attraction and interest in each other is too strong to deny. As They begin a relationship they quickly begin to fall in love, but Lang has a lot on his plate including some brothers who need set straight and a partnership that just might be turning bad. Lilly never planned to fall in love everything has always been black or white but Lang has quickly torn down her walls and shown her so much more to life, but with all the new also comes the unknown and Lilly will have to decide if she is strong enough to step into the unknown for the promise of so much more.

I really liked this one, it's a sweet read with MC mixed in. Lang is a great hero he is the MC president but he is also a great guy. After loosing his parents he happily stepped up to raise his sisters. Lang also wasn't scared to claim Lilly, he knew he wanted her and set out to get and keep her. I also really liked Lilly, she was the perfect other half for Lang, she was smart, and very caring. We also get introduced to a whole new set of characters that I hope we get to see more of, as well as read books about. The ending of this book really surprised me and it was something I didn't see coming. I do wish some of the end had been given more detail but this was a really good book.

Violetta Rand's writing style flowed really well and was just easy to read. Once I started reading this book I was surprised at how fast the percentage flew by. For a first time author I am really impressed and happy to have found her, and I can't wait to see what books she comes out with next. She gives us a big list of future books with all the characters she introduces us to, and Ms. Rand gives us more than enough to make me excited about the other brothers books to come. I am hoping we also get to see more of Lilly and Lang because I have a feeling and hope there is more to see from them.

I read Persuasion as soon as I received my ARC last week and I've been going back and forth with my rating ever since. There are some things I liked and some things I didn't and in the end this one was just kinda meh for me.

Lang is your typical MC hero for most of the book. He's jealous, protective, and possessive... Which I love in a hero... But he had the typical biker beliefs and unfortunately they kinda put me off of him. And because of the way he acted throughout most of the book the ending was completely unbelievable, at least in my opinion.

Now Lily I liked for the most part. She fit as an old lady. She knew her role in the MC world and she was pretty much okay with that. But I really wish she would have put up more of a fight on more than one occasion. I wouldn't say she's a doormat, per se, but she forgave and forgot way too easily in my opinion.

Unlike most MC romance there isn't any drama involving the club whores, or pass-arounds as they're called in this one, and I loved that! I also loved that even though Lang wasn't a saint, he didn't mess around with club whores... That's so rare in these types of reads and I give kudos to Ms. Rand for not taking that road.

Overall, this was a pretty easy read and I wish I could say that it was everything I was hoping for. The romance is pretty good, there's some danger and suspense which is typical for this type of read, but because I wasn't a huge fan of Lang, it left me a little disconnected throughout most of the book. That being said, I'll still probably check out the next book in the series when it comes out.

Persuasion is the first book I've read by Violetta Rand and the first in her new series, Sons of Odin MC.

Highly recommend for those who love steamy romance, bad boys and MC's like SOA.

The novel centers around Lang, the new MC President, and Lily Gallo, a high school counselor who recently moved to Texas from Philly. In addition to his new role in the club, Lang has also had to step up as a father figure for his three younger sisters after their parents were killed. He and Lily meet when he "rescues" her from an overzealous, "handsy" suitor at karoake night. Lang only finds out later that their worlds will intersect when he learns that she's the new school counselor for the oldest, and most problematic, of his younger sisters.

Many wouldn't expect Lang to bring the romance... Others wouldn't expect Lily to be able to compromise her feminist views... Will they be able to make it work together? Either way, they are going to create a lot of steam trying to figure it out...

Throw in some MC drama and you've got a story that will leave you ready for the next chapter and the next in the series!

High school guidance counselor Lily Gallo wanted a fresh start. Moving from Philadelphia to Texas was just what she needed. She had not expected to meet Lang Anderson though, bad boy biker who doesn't do commitment, he doesn't need to women throw themselves at him all the time. Lily though is different, one taste and Lang can't forget about her. When they meet again everything changes and he has to navigate his family as well as his girl through the turbulent waters that are surrounding them.

Highly entertaining read. I liked Lang and Lily together, they both are strong characters who you can easily imagine together. Look forward to more books in the Sons of Odin series, definitely a new MC book series to watch out for.

DNF at 20%

Sometimes you know right away when something is not for you. This is a prime example of that time. I happen to be extremely picky with my MC books, so please don't write this off simply because it didn't work for me. I tend to get extra judgy. And with the amount of MC books out there that I've read, I tend to be pickier than most. So basically what I'm saying here, is don't let my review be your decision on whether or not to read this.

So what didn't work for me?

The heroine for one. Lord give me strength. There's naive and judgmental and then there's Lily Gallo.
Patching you means a tattoo or literal patch that says 'Property of Lang.' Unless you're an old lady or a family member, the rest of the women with us are known as pass-arounds."
She leaned forward, poking him in the chest with her finger. "That's disgusting. Do you know how hard I've worked to fight sexism?"

There is only one heroine that was able to get away with such a prissy and naive outlook on this with me, and that was Marie from Reaper's Property. This one? Yeah, not so much. I couldn't connect with her for the life of me.

Aside from that, I also didn't connect to the writing style. I felt like I was being told everything instead of shown and that tends to be a make it or break it thing for me. The dialogue also read very awkward. I couldn't connect to the writing, I couldn't connect to the main characters, so sadly I wasn't able to connect with the story. This felt a bit like a fluffier version of an MC book for me, which isn't exactly my cuppa. That was probably the biggest reason for my lack of connection.

But who knows, just because it didn't work for me, doesn't mean it won't work for you. Give it a shot and judge for yourself.

So, I'm torn on what to say. I don't want to leave a negative review, and by no means did I dislike or hate this book. It just didn't fit with me. To be completely honest, I had a hard time finishing it. While I was reading, I was engaged and in the story, but once my kindle was down, I didn't think about the book at all. Days would pass before I'd pick it up again. I feel bad about that too. There wasn't anything in particular that I can say was wrong, which indicates this was all me. The plot was interesting, the characters and story were well written. I liked how Lang was with Lily and his sisters. I feel like the author did a everything right, but for whatever reason, my brain wasn't in it. I did enjoy her style, and I would absolutely try more of her books. I don't know what was wrong with me and I hope this review doesn't turn anyone off from this book.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley.
Violetta Rand has once again written a book that has me begging for more.
Lang is sexy, strong, loyal but with a huge heart.
He may be the president of the Sons of Odin MC but he is also raising his little sisters.
Lilly is a sweet woman with a heart of gold but with a steel edge when needed. She doesn't back down when a child needs her and she will do what ever she can to help people.
When these two meet the chemistry is instantaneous. And guess who happens to be his sister's new counselor.
This is a fabulous start to the series. I can't wait to see what else is waiting in the next book.

The best way I can describe this book is motorcycle club light. Both Lang and Lily are likable and engaging but I kept waiting for something to happen. Parts of the story lagged and opportunities to expand on some of the side stories were missed.

I think this series has potential to take off and expand on the Sons of Odin members.

3.5 "property of" stars

This is my second Violetta Rand book and I got to say I liked this one way better than I did the first one I read.

Lang Anderson is the newly appointed President of the Sons of Odin Motorcycle Club who is trying to find the balance between club life and personal life. After the deaths of his parents Lang becomes the guardian to his three younger sisters all under the age of 14. Then to add even more drama into his life the former President is facing serious legal charges which thrust Lang to now stand in as acting President.

description

The club is Lang's life, it's all he's know, the lifestyle, the brotherhood, the code of honor, the respect, and the hardships that it brings. He wouldn't change any of it, but would never expect a woman to be okay with that sort of life. Especially a woman like Lilly Gallo, who is full of manners, refinement, sass and feminism. That sort of woman could never accept him or his club or so he thought.

description

But what neither of them expected was this undeniable connection between them. A connection they both tried to fight at first. But the only after their third meeting Lang knew it was a loosing battle. Where before Lilly women were just a means to an end, he was never one for a one time affair, but neither was he the dating type. But Lilly

"...pleasuring her gave him a new sense of satisfaction. He wanted to be the reason she smiled again...."

Their love story is sweet with a little drama thrown into the mix but overall they have a fairly easy time coming to terms with their feelings for one another.

There were some parts that felt rushed a little and some that didn't exactly fit into the story line. I felt that a little bit more was needed to make it flow seamlessly and really stand out. For example,

All four siblings are dealing with their loss in different ways though we really only see the oldest sister Maya's struggle. It would have been nice to see all four siblings working through their grief together. Understandably time, page length and story flow doesn't always allow for that, but it would have been a nice touch to see all four of them working through their parents deaths.

Also, the whole first chapter could have been developed a little bit better. I was confused as to what was going on and why. It never really was explained what happened to Jess their former club president and how those events affected the club. Only two other club members were implicated for wrongful behavior. But it was never clear if their actions were due to following Jess or what. I am guessing so but I would like to not assume so much while reading. And the whole reporter incident could have been developed a little more she was mentioned in Ch. 1 then a time or two more, but from her introduction in Ch.1 I assumed she would play a major role somehow but she never showed back up.

There were more things that could have been cleaned up/wrapped up a little better. And the ending really just confused me a little bit. I wasn't sure what was going on in Lang's head even while reading his POV I was still confused. It didn't end badly but why what happened was not very clear for me.

Anyways, I it was an enjoyable read and it could be a good start to a decent series.

Lang Anderson is the new leader of the Sons of Odin motorcycle club, if that was not enough to handle he is also the guardian to his three young sisters. On a night when he finally gets a break and expects to relax and unwind.... in walks all kinds of trouble in the form of Lily Gallo.

Lily Gallo is new to the area working as a high school guidance counselor . To celebrate with her best friend she decides to go out to a club. The last thing she expects to happen is to start a bar brawl and meet the hot and sexy Lang Anderson.

Lang and Lily expect to never see each other again but a series of events keeps them spending a lot of time together. Can Lily teach Lang that there is more to life than the MC or will Lang show Lily how great walking on the wild side can be? Read and find out!

I received this book as an ARC from Net Galley for my honest review

This book was really good! If you start to read this book and expect the normal run of the mill MC novel where the woman makes all of the sacrifices and the MC is always the ruler of all ...you will be completely shocked. As usual Violetta Rand does her thing and is not afraid to "dare to be different"....which is great and very refreshing.

Both characters in this book were really great but instead of being all girl power like I normally am; surprisingly I instantly fell in love with Lang. If I had to compare Lang to anyone it would have to be Tony from the 'Sopranos'. He had so many responsibilities and had to figure out how to balance everything out without his life falling apart. I also loved that Rand did not make everything easy for him. Lang had serious issues that could not be ignored and had to make very tough decisions that broke a lot of peoples heart.

This book is selling right now for 2.99 and I think that is a great price. If you have not read a Violetta Rand book this is a great series to start with. Great job as usual can't wait to see what you come up with next!

This was a unique biker book. Yes, Lang is a tough biker guy that is possessive, protective and dangerous, but he also knows how to treat a lady. He pulled out the stops to woo Lily, actually taking her out on dates and getting to know her. This was totally different from most biker books, and it was refreshing.

I loved the addition of Lang taking care of his three younger sisters. I loved how protective he was of them, how he stepped up to actually taking care of them and doing what was right for them. However, with that said, there was also a lot glossed over or left out when it came to this. Out of his sisters, the oldest one was having problems in school, getting into trouble and such...that's where Lily came in. She was there to help Lang's sister, and you saw a little bit of that but as soon as Lang and Lily started dating, her helping his sister was glossed over and not really mentioned again. I really wish we'd seen more stuff at school and Lily helping out there.

I am on a MC high, this was such a great story. I loved how
Lang was the walking contradiction. In many MC novels we
get the bad and the sweet, but Lang pretty much
encompassed it all. He was completely hot for the teacher
(well sort of) and he made it known. The only thing that I
missed was that Lily went from counselor to old lady without
a second thought it seemed. There wasn’t much of the
“getting used to your world” or “should I be seeing a student’s
father” But otherwise I felt completely connected. BUT WHY
the ending, WAITING FOR THE
NEXT, New great series. It was like Jamie Begley and Joanna
Wylde mixed. LOVE!

Wow what a great read! I couldn't put this down till I was done!

This had everything! Hot sex, drama, love, loyalty, and friendship! Lang was a very interesting hero with many conflicts and lots of choices to make. It was nice to see him grow up in this story with his choices, values, and way of looking at things. I know he is an adult, but he sure had to change to become the man he did. Lily too had lots of growing to do. She started off weak in lots of ways, but found her footing and turned into a strong woman. The characters were well written and brought a great deal to the story.

The sex was HOT! I am talking shower inducing! WOW, nothing like a dirty talking biker bad boy!

I can't wait for the next book! I hope it is about Tina and Vincent!

Book is well worth the price and I would have bought it.
