The Bratva Widow Surrogate

Rate this book
My twin sister died.
And I agreed to carry her husband’s baby.

The deal was

Give the Bratva king an heir.
Then disappear.

But Alexei Morozov doesn’t let what’s his go.

He says I’m nothing but a vessel.
A contract written in blood.

Yet every night, his footsteps stop outside my door.

And the way he touches me…
like I come when he wants.

I’m not just carrying his heir.
He’s claimed me too.

She promises her sister a child. He makes sure she can’t walk away.

After losing her twin, Anya agrees to carry the baby her sister never gets to have, believing the arrangement ends there. Instead, she’s pulled into Alexei Morozov’s world, shut inside his guarded estate, and forced into close quarters with a man who treats protection like possession and control like care. Grieving, angry, and too sharp to play the quiet substitute, she fights to hold onto herself under his roof.

At first, Alexei keeps her close for practical reasons, or so he tells himself. She carries the heir tied to his name, his power, and a future other men would gladly destroy. But the more Anya resists him, the harder it becomes to pretend this is only duty, and the tension between them turns darker, hotter, and far more personal. What begins as confinement starts shifting into something intimate and dangerous as outside threats force them closer and every line between obligation, obsession, and desire starts to blur.

As grief and desire collide, Anya refuses to disappear into another woman’s place, while Alexei is forced to face how badly he wants the woman he was never supposed to touch. Their relationship shifts from resentment and coercive proximity into something volatile, intimate, and emotionally exposed, where both of them have to confront the difference between possession and love and decide what they’re willing to risk for it.

A dark, hot bratva romance about grief turning into obligation, control colliding with autonomy, and two damaged people being forced into a bond neither of them can keep distant. At its core, it’s about a woman refusing to disappear into her sister’s shadow and a possessive man learning that devotion isn’t ownership.

The Elevator Pitch: After her sister’s death, a sharp-tongued woman agrees to carry the child her twin never had, only to find herself trapped inside the world of a cold Bratva king who guards her as fiercely as he controls her. What begins as duty turns volatile when grief, power, and forbidden desire start pulling them toward something neither of them can afford. As danger closes in, the real question stops being whether she can survive his world and becomes whether either of them can survive what they’re becoming to each other.

A simply wonderful; read, heartfelt and truly a division of love and loyalty to his Bratva and wife now dead and unborn child
Anya had not been able to believe it when her twin sister Katerina who she had loved from the day they were both born together had become married to Alexei and they had been trying to become pregnant but with no success, then she had died and his life had changed’
Later Alexei had been decided that he would speak with her twin and see if she would consider carrying the embryo that his wife had asked Anya is she would carry the child to term and ensure that it knew that it was loved, she wanted her to help bring up the baby and ensure that it knew how much he/she was wanted and loved, also ensure that they knew about the actual birth mother and why she had not raised the baby.
The Alexei Morozov who was the Pakhaan and since his wife had died and he had decided to as her sister to carry his child and then guarded her after explaining that she was at risk from Dimitri who is trying to ensure her child is never born and that he loses his position of Pakhaan.
The Bratva are closing in and the heartfelt words that he had spoke to her had simply been cast aside by Alexei as she was waiting for the baby to be born, to know that he had simply cast her aside stating that after the child was born her involvement comes to an end and it had ripped out her heart.
This is a truly wonderful read and the customs and the pressures between these two individuals and the life that has not yet been born is a simply nail-biting fact and Dimitri is threatening to kill her and her unborn child but she needs to listen to Yuri and take on the leverage she has but she has to be willing to fight.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

The Bratva Widow Surrogate is a well-written story and had me hooked from the beginning. It is a very original story and so emotional.

Anya had a twin sister, Katerina, who died of cancer. She had been married to Alexei. He needed an heir to carry on his legacy. They were not able to become pregnant so they froze her embryos. Before she died, Anya promised her that she would bear her children. Alexei asked Anya if she would have the baby. She agreed to the procedure so she became the surrogate. Alexei is the pakhan and forced Anya to move into his house so he could keep her safe from his enemies. She reluctantly agreed. What she didn't expect was to begin to see Alexei as the person he was. She had a crush on him before her sister married him. They had such great chemistry. Alexei had been attracted to her also but hid it from his wife.

I loved how strong Anya was and the good person she was. I loved the chemistry between Alexei and Anya. The way he felt about her was amazing. He was so protective of her and the baby. An amazing story. I look forward to more from this talented author.

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the whole surrogate for my dead twin’s husband trope, but the author made it work. The tension between Alexei and the heroine is off the charts from the start. Alexei is the definition of a possessive Bratva king—cold and ruthless to the world, but completely obsessed with her.

What I loved most was that it wasn't just about the contract. You really feel his struggle between grieving his late wife and realizing he’s falling for the woman carrying his heir. It’s messy and taboo, but the chemistry makes you forget all that. If you love a dark romance where the hero refuses to let the heroine go, this is it. Definitely recommend!.

I really enjoyed Alexei & Anya's story!! It was fast paced & there were unexpected plot twists. I LOVE the letters from her Dad & how it comes out that even though he married her sister (for the Bratva/business), he really wanted HER... it's like a redemption story. 😍🤩

It has everything you want in a book - a swoonworthy alpha protector, morally grey/dark mafia/Bratva... and more.

Spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Thank you to the author (Pearl Rosetta), publisher & Booksprout for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

This story is set in Russia about twin sisters, always there for each other in time of need, one was married to a Pakhan but through illness died.
Her one bequest was to her sister is asking her to be the surrogate for a child in her place and be there for Alexei her husband.
What you get are are two people unwilling to give into the attraction for each other until it's undeniable and war is not far behind.
Plots a plenty, traitors, one enemy who wants them all dead and then you have a brilliantly written story.
Loved it.

I kept wanting to turn the page. I was intrigued with the determination that Anya had to keep and stay out of her twin sisters shadow. She was her own person and she wouldn't let anyone including the Pakhan to mess with that. She is devoted to keep her promise. She's strong and willful. She doesn't let Alexei get away with anything. It was a really good read. I loved seeing Anya and Alexeis relationship grow into something and so much more.

This was a 3.5-3.75 stars for me. This was full of angst which I had anticipated with especially with the premise of the book, it just got too repetitive for me when everyone was telling it was ok even the sister. Then the plot was a little odd, Alexei had the opportunity to end it early on but didn't. It was still a good story with a little struggle to get through it.

What a great story. A very original idea for a mafia trope and I loved it.

Anya is a very strong FC and she needed to be to deal with everything she went through.

Alexi is another strong character and the tension, love, hate relationship between he and Anya kept me interested and turning pages.

This story was very well done and better than what I was expecting the story to be about. Highly Recommend!.

he locks me in.
I’m not just carrying his heir.
He’s claimed me too.'

The characters were very complex and compelling and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

frustrating

This book was so good to start with, then it lost its way.
The editing in this book was poor. In one chapter the same scene is repeated twice within three pages.
It was confusing, to follow where this story wanted to go.
I almost gave up, but continued to skim over scenes just to get to the end.
It was an interesting premise, but the author couldn’t seem to decide to move the story forward or keep moving it backward.
Disappointing

She made a promise to her twin sister to carry her child and in doing so connects her life to Alexei. Their path is tumultuous because Anya is her own person and refuses to be shadowed by Alexei who intends to tie her to his life. It is an interesting story that kept me turning the pages as I connected to these two.

This story is about grieving and finding love in a world full of danger and suspense. Happy ever after ending.

I’m Not Her
All Anya wants is for Alexei to see her. Her, not her sister. Anya, the one who is carrying her sister’s child for him not just because she made a promise but because she loves him. Will stand by him, always.
