My novels are about strong, grounded women who live, love, and thrive in adventurous worlds.
As Natalie Debrabandere, I write lesbian fiction with a romantic twist. As N.D. Shar, I dive into edgy sci-fi with kick-ass female leads and non-stop action.
If this is your first experience with my books, I hope you’ll find as much pleasure in reading them as I do in writing them.

The moment that Reece apologised to Ariana for “overreacting” after seeing her literally snogg her ex to “say goodbye” ruined the entire book for me. Kissing anyone on the lips to say goodbye is not a thing. It’s never been a thing. Stop trying to make it a thing. It was entirely unnecessary and took me out of the story immediately. It provided no benefit to the story and I cannot fathom why that scene was there.
I loved this book because it was a different kind of story with two wonderful main characters. The book is set in the UK with one woman from the U.S. and one from the UK. The English lady lives in a castle and dedicates her life to taking care of her ancestral property. She and her two brothers are joint owners of the castle. One brother wants to turn the castle into a golf resort. Reese (the sister) lives in the castle and vehemently opposes this plan. Ariana (American gal) is visiting her former nanny who lives near the castle. This is how the love story begins and there is a lot more to the story. I highly recommend reading My Lady Chatelaine.
Another excellent book by Natalie Debrabandere. The main characters of Ariana and Reece are two women that have you immediately in their corner. Reece's brother Lee is a real wanker. Anytime you care more about money than your own sister makes you a wanker in my eyes. I loved the whole story within a story and the ending is quite a plus as well. How about a Lady Chatelaine part 2?
So many elements of this story formed a strong base on with to build a life both in the book and in our lives. Strength and resilience were the glue used to cement both relationships and dreams. I was so impressed by how all the characters played a vital role in the development of the story. Thank you Natalie, you did not disappoint.
Once again you captured my attention from word one. This, and every oth CDer CD novel, is a story of personal growth and finding a new release in the complex world of sexual relationships. Please keep sending more stories. Maybe a 5th N.D. Shar novel?
Both MC’s didn’t have much depth, more of a ‘cut and paste’ and the use of the word ‘lover’ over 40+ times in the book was a little over the top. Annoying actually. I do enjoy Natalie’s other novels, but this one seemed to miss.
I’m a big fan of Natalie’s books and this one was really enjoyable! Great story and characters! Maybe a prequel book for Lady H would be a great follow up 🤞🏼
