This was my first story by this author and I enjoyed Teardrops Know My Name. Linda McNair was a fashion photographer and her world was being turned upside down, by a stalker. Linda had several failed relationships and after the death of her boyfriend Steve she decided she needed to get to know herself. I truly enjoyed this book.
Successful fashion photographer, Linda McNair, is in a loving but strained relationship with Steve Mitchell, a man who seemed to love his career more than Linda. To add to the stress, a stalker terrorizes Linda, a woman who is foolishly reluctant to take the threats seriously. Once the danger becomes real, Linda, after much coaxing, finally tells Detective Sean Gregory about the terror that has become her life. But Sean had more than her case on his mind. He wanted to be her protector, her lover… her man. But she was already in a relationship with a man she loved. That’s when Linda’s life turned upside down and the stalker raised the stakes.
The writing was superb. All of the characters were well defined. This brooding thriller will keep you guessing. There were plenty of people close to the protagonist who could be the stalker. I’d rather call the stalker a terrorist. Highly unpredictable, this suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t put the book down. I read it straight through. As soon as you think you know who the terrorist is, there’s a turn of events. Beautifully plotted story.
I had not read this author prior to this book and I am very pleasantly surprised that she writes very well. This is a story of a beautiful woman who finds she is being stalked. Linda has a handsome boyfriend - Steve, who she has dated for two years but really doesn't know him well. She has a handsome friend Marc who she sees as a brother and is also a business client. She meets Detective Sean, who she is immediately attracted to. However, there are so many twists and turns that it appears she is nearly drowning in all the happening in her life.
A well told story with intrigue , drama and suspense...Loved it..
Author Dalia Florea is an amazing author. I don't even know where to began with Teardrops Know My Name but I loved this book. I I completed this book in one sitting because I just could not put it down. Highly recommend for you all to read as it was filled with love and all types of drama.
Not impressed at all. I only gave 3 stars because I was able to Read the entire thing. The storyline was actually really good but there was no depth to the book. I confused about the genre because for it to be a romantic suspense novel, the "romance" (and I'm using the term very loosely) didn't start until like the last 10 pages. The narration and conversation was extremely simple. The dialogue jumped all other. I kept putting it down because it was a literal struggle for me to get through.
This book was well written. The depth of the character was there and they were very believable. I couldn't put the book down! Although I had an idea of the culprit, I was surprised with the twist, which shifted me from temporarily from that direction. I applaud Ms. Floria and look forward to buying and reading Mirrored soon.
