My opinion about changed a lot when reading it, at first I was interested but not dragged into the book but then the further along I went the better it got. My favorite parts would have to be the Practical Magic section with necromancy and conjure, some of the information is very useful for me while also familiar to what I already do in my life. I also enjoyed the blog post appendix since I don't follow or read his blog at all. It felt very human and that's something I miss when reading books like this. You don't always get to see the trial and error that goes into this which makes the practice feel like it needs to be perfect.

So decent book anyway, easy to read until you get to the listings of course.

It was alright. Tbh I enjoyed the author's relationship with Bune more than I did their writings.
