I’m a graphic artist by day and author by night, writing real, raw, racy romance. My book boyfriends are inked heroes who like fat, fun, and feisty women (sounds familiar).
My goal is to spread body positivity through my fat and fabulous curvy heroines with a good serving of British humour on the side (not forgetting an extra helping of alpha goodness).
On the very rare occasion I’m not working in my day job...or night job as a writer, I'll be living my best life in the heart of England with my other half, two wildlings (otherwise known as Veruca Salt and Mike Teavee), and a randy cavalier pup.
My serious book fetish travels with me in our tin cruiser as we roam the English countryside. You’ll usually find me in a field somewhere or curled up on the sofa with a coffee (wine), blanket and dog to keep me cozy, and a good steamy book to make me w—warm.
If you’re in the mood for a romance that is equal parts spicy, messy, and deeply healing, this one is absolutely worth picking up.
I went in expecting a fun and unconventional love story, but I finished with my heart completely wrecked in the best way. Nora and Nate are carrying the heavy grief of infertility when their best friend Evan offers to help them conceive, and Nora’s journey felt heartbreakingly honest. The author captures the loneliness, hope, and emotional toll of wanting a child with so much care.
What makes this story so special is the relationship between Nora, Nate, and Evan. Their connection goes far beyond the physical, exploring friendship, love, and a beautiful bi awakening. Watching three chronic people-pleasers stop living for everyone else and finally choose what makes them happy was incredibly rewarding. Their bond felt tender, vulnerable, and deeply genuine.
The spice is undeniably hot, but it’s the emotional intimacy that leaves the strongest impression. Through grief, insecurity, and moments of chaos, these three support each other in a way that makes you root for them wholeheartedly.
This story is bold, heartfelt, and a lovely reminder that family and love don’t have to fit a traditional mold. It gave me butterflies, but it also offered a surprising amount of healing.

Huge thank you to Annie Charme & The Author Agency for the ARC! 😍 All my bookish thoughts are completely my own. ✨
Annie Charme rarely disappoints. Her characters feel so real and the emotions their stories pull from the reader are as intense as they are varied. His Best Friend’s Offer is no different.
Nate and Nora have been together since university. Now married, they do badly want a family but just can’t get pregnant. Evan, their best friend since uni, offers to help. Can they possibly accept? Will it change things between them all? Spoiler: yes, and yes.
The buried attraction that slowly unearths between Nora and Evan, and Nate and Evan, is a treat to read. Even though there is plenty of angst to go along with it, you still like to see it. My emotions were all over the place while reading: happy for Nate & Nora’s relationship, though maybe a little envious; sympathetic to their deep hurt at their infertility issues; crushing on Evan as the sensitive, hot friend; emotional at Evan taking an active role to give Nate & Nora what they want; giddy as the three characters enjoy each other and explore what they want; and then a whole lot of angst as doubts creep in from both the central characters as well as some of the supporting ones. Although there’s an HEA, I shes tears more than once while reading. I always, always cry when I read Annie Charme’s books. She’s just so good at pulling those emotions from the reader.
they have been together long enough to know all they need a baby to make them whole. she can’t have babies. that’s all she dreamed about. one best fiend that has been in love. they ask and they get more then they bargain for. when feeling come to light fireworks come alive. emotional and perfect story about love and find one piece missing with out ever knowing it.

Tldr(because I wrote a novel); Most of it was wholesome and interesting but the parts that weren’t kind’ve ruined it for me. Would I read it again knowing what I know? Maybe, leaning towards probably not.
This was rough for me, because I was really into it at first and then felt like the climax tainted the rest of the book and made it harder to enjoy. If I could give different ratings to different sections of the book; I would give the first 70% of the book 5 stars and then the rest maybe 3 as it was fine but kind of rubbed me the wrong way(⚠️Warning⚠️: Spoilers at the bottom).
The first part was an interesting rollercoaster of emotions. There's something so absolutely heartbreaking about watching two people who are falling apart lie to protect each other. It shows how much guilt can really tear at peoples’ souls and destroy relationships that would be stronger if they allowed themselves to be fully honest and/or actually lean on each other. Especially when what they consider to be selfless actions hurts the person they were hoping to protect. This being due to their infertility journey after 8 years of being worn down added another layer of tragedy. Getting to see them slowly recover throughout the book was heartwarming.
As to romance, their threesome journey begins with a nice push and pull. Obviously it's hard for them to figure out; trying to test the limits, discover what they want/what it could be, but the emotions are there and the chemistry is good. It’s also nice that being in a threesome doesn’t magically fix all their problems. They have to work to find a good balance for them. Although there is a miscommunication problem(common conflict tactic). I get it at first, but after a while it can get a little tiresome that none of them talk anything out and just try to “take all the burden on themselves” while simultaneously placing it on the ones they are trying to protect.
That being said, out of all the characters, I feel worst for Nate, as the one who feels like (and is described as) the protector, problem fixer and main emotional regulator for the family he takes the brunt of the weight and guilt on his shoulders throughout the story with little support.
Especially when things aren't his fault. I feel like none of the other characters appreciate this. Honestly Nate deserves better. It doesn’t help that by the end of the series I didn’t really like Nora(she was inconsiderate and selfish) and found Evan to be frustrating and flaky.
As to the plot. It is pretty interesting but I did end up having a huge problem that left me uninvested.
The huge problem that I had(slight spoiler⚠️): —-------------------------------------- Around the 70% point, there's a confession that Evan let Nate take credit for something he did and I don't understand why the author would add this but it ruined huge parts of the characters’ relationships for me(Explained better in the spoilers below). After that it was the beginning of the downturn for me.
So here are the actual problems I have with the book:
I have a huge problem with what they do to Nate as I feel he always gets the short end of the stick. A lot of the story is Nora being paralyzed by mental pain or Evan succumbing to his anxieties and leaving Nate to pick up the pieces.
Nora and Nate's journey to pregnancy has been marked by setbacks. They've found he can't get her pregnant the old fashioned way, so what is this couple to do? Well, take up Nate's best friend's offer to help. And then find themselves in a situation none of them has ever been in before - a relationship of three people, complete with feelings they're not sure how to navigate.
This is an unexpectedly wonderful menage story. It's fraught with angst, but with real warmth and love too. I felt all their pain and struggle as they tried to get pregnant, and then felt each of their individual pain as they struggled to find their way forward, were they all three all in? Was Evan ever going to feel as an equal in their relationship? I liked how they finally worked through all their issues, and got to that sweet ending.
ARC provided by The Author Agency for an honest review.
His Best Friend's Offer completely melted my heart into one giant puddle of love, longing, and emotional chaos. 🩵✨ I went into this expecting a spicy why choose romance, and yes, it absolutely delivered on the tension, the chemistry, and the “one bed” deliciousness… but what I didn’t expect was how deeply emotional and tender this story would be. Because underneath the heat is a story about love in all its messy, complicated, beautiful forms. Nate, Evan, and Nora absolutely wrecked me. The desperation to build a family, the vulnerability surrounding infertility, the fear of wanting too much, and the quiet loneliness all three of them carried hit so hard. Annie Charme made every emotion feel raw and real, especially for Nora, who has spent so long feeling overlooked and unwanted by the world around her. As someone who also struggles with infertility, parts of this story hit painfully close to home for me. Some moments felt less like reading and more like quietly seeing pieces of my own heart reflected back on the page. The hope, the grief, the longing, the ache of wanting something so deeply—it was written with such honesty that it stayed with me long after I finished reading. And then there’s Evan. SWEET MERCY. This man walked into an already complicated situation and somehow made everything even messier by falling for both of them. Watching his feelings for Nate slowly surface alongside his growing love for Nora was beautiful, emotional, and honestly kind of breathtaking. But Nate? Nate shattered me in the softest way possible. The way he loved her enough to try and give her the one thing she wanted most, even when it hurt him. The way he loved Evan too, even before he fully understood what those feelings meant. This book handled bi awakening with so much heart and tenderness that I couldn’t stop smiling through half my tears. And the FOUND FAMILY FEELING? Absolutely unmatched. 🩵 There was something so comforting about watching these three people slowly realize that love doesn’t always have to fit inside neat little boxes. Sometimes family looks different. Sometimes love grows bigger instead of smaller. And honestly? That realization felt magical. The chemistry was scorching, the emotional intimacy was even hotter, and by the end I was clutching this book to my chest like it personally paid my therapy bill. Annie Charme gave me yearning, healing, emotional vulnerability, spice, softness, and three people finding exactly where they belonged. I adored every single page. 🩵✨ 🖋️ Review written by me while emotionally compromised by emotionally intelligent men, found family feelings, and fictional people redefining love in the most beautiful ways. All thoughts, swoons, tears, and emotional spirals are entirely my own. 💫
This book is an exceptional example of how True Love exists in many shapes, sizes, and forms. It truly warmed my heart and soul.
In this book we meet Nora. Nora is a sweet, plus-sized or as I say fluffy, woman. Nora wants to please everyone yet forgets that she is important too. In pleasing everyone around her, in trying to be small for society, in trying to be quiet, in worrying about how she looks, in hiding what she truly wants and desires she loses herself. The one thing Nora thinks she wants is a child. Yet getting help in conceiving as a fluffy woman is nigh impossible. Everyone tells her she must lose weight, she must eat this, do that, on, and on, and on. The struggle almost breaks her. Yet Nora thinks that by having a baby she can fill the hole in her heart and soul. But can she?
Then we meet Nate. Nate is a teddy bear of a man. Large and also fluffy. Like a teddy bear he is sweet, kind, caring, and he loves Nora with his whole heart and soul. As her husband and significant other the struggle to conceive is also tearing him apart. He has been with Nora since Uni, or college, and he would give her the world if he could. However, like Nora he also is trying to be what society says a husband, a man, must be. He throws himself into their business to prove he can be a good husband, a good man. Like Nora he thinks having a child will complete him and also her. Yet will it?
Now… drumroll please… cue EVAN. Evan looks like Superman and like him he tries to help all he can. He is also a pleaser. However, he is also an overthinker and spends his life worrying about what people think of him. This is a sad reality for so many of us, myself included. Evan tries to fit in, be like everyone else, deny what he wants for what he thinks society dictates. Yet could he ever be happy doing this? When he gets the chance to help his best friends and business partners in conceiving a baby he thinks THIS, THIS is it! This grand gesture will make my life complete! But will it? Will it really?
CUE THE CRUX! What happens to three pleasers who feel they must be what society says? Who all think that other people’s feelings are more important than their own? Who all deny who and what they truly want and need to be happy? Will they find a way to the end of their journey? Will that be the end, or will it be the beginning of their true, amazing, and wonderful journey?
READ His Best Friend’s Offer when it come out on May 14th and find out! This book may just very well change your life.
I received a free copy of this book as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
His Best Friend’s Offer by Annie Charm had so much potential for me. The trope itself is one I usually love, and I really appreciated that the story focused on different dynamics between all the characters rather than isolating one romance completely.
I also liked that there’s clear growth in the relationship between the two men. Their bond evolves throughout the book, and there are moments where you can really see what the story could have been emotionally.
But unfortunately, the writing itself felt extremely inconsistent. Because the book switches between multiple POVs, the characterization becomes messy very quickly and lacks consistency. One chapter Nate is full of doubt, then suddenly confident and steady, then immediately spiraling again depending on whose POV you’re in. The same happens with the other male lead, Evan, their emotional states constantly shift so abruptly that it starts feeling disjointed rather than layered. Meanwhile, Nora stays mostly the same throughout the entire story, which leaves the balance of growth feeling uneven.
There’s also barely any real buildup. The book includes a lot of flashbacks and background moments, but instead of adding emotional depth, they often feel unnecessary or awkwardly placed. Combined with how often the same thoughts, feelings, and conversations get repeated, the story starts feeling circular instead of progressive.
The biggest issue for me, though, is that the story never fully immerses you. It feels more like someone telling you what happened rather than pulling you into the emotions and letting you experience them naturally. There’s a distance to the writing that keeps you watching from the sidelines instead of getting emotionally swept up in the story.
A big emotional focus of the story is the grief surrounding infertility, and that part genuinely hit hard at times. It’s a heavy, painful topic, and I do think it was handled with care and sensitivity. Unfortunately, because the overall writing style felt so inconsistent and emotionally distant, those moments never landed as strongly as they could have. The emotional weight was there, but the storytelling around it lessened the impact for me.
Overall, this book had all the ingredients for something I could’ve loved, but the inconsistent characterization, repetitive writing, and lack of emotional buildup kept it from fully landing for me.
“His Best Friend’s Offer” by Annie Charme is a bold, swoony contemporary romance about one woman, two best friends, and a three-way situation that’s as messy as it is tender. In it, Nora and her husband Nate have been struggling to conceive — a deeply emotional journey that hits hard from page one. After discovering Nate is unable to biologically father a child, their trusted best friend Evan unexpectedly volunteers to help them start a family… the old-fashioned way, not through a kit or clinic. What begins as a practical (if unconventional) arrangement soon blurs into something far more complex, full of longing, jealousy, and emotional stakes that go way beyond baby-making. What really worked for me? The emotional heft. The author doesn’t shy away from the raw heartbreak of infertility — you feel Nora’s monthly setbacks in your chest, and there were moments where I literally remembered my own experiences and thought, “Yep, I’ve been there.” The scene after a failed attempt had me curling up with the book like it was a warm blanket wrapped around a bruise. The beautifully written vulnerability of each character is a major strength: Nate’s fierce, loving determination, Evan’s quiet steadfastness, and Nora’s heartbreaking courage all ring true. You can tell Charme put her whole heart into their internal lives. That said, the love triangle dynamic might not be for every reader. Some plot beats (the tension, the shifting boundaries) occasionally leaned on familiar tropes that seasoned romance readers will recognize. And the setup — two best friends exploring more than friendship while trying for a baby — is definitely bold and unconventional; it can feel a little intense or emotional for anyone not ready for heavy themes. But if you’re into romance that blends real struggle with heat and heart, this won’t feel like a flaw so much as part of the spice. Charme’s writing style is expressive and warm, with snappy banter that lightens the heavy moments — you’ll chuckle one page, sniffle the next. The pacing keeps you invested, though some readers might wish for even deeper interiority from all three characters. All told, it’s a touching, sometimes funny, completely heartfelt take on love, sacrifice, and making your own version of “family.” Verdict: A deeply emotional, beautifully told romance that stays with you.
√ But l've seen the way he is with her. They're as much best friends as Evan is with me. It isn't so much sharing my wife with my best friend, but sharing my best friend with my wife. √
This is going to be on my list for ʙᴇsᴛ ʙᴏᴏᴋs ʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪɴ 2026. I know people scoff when you say a romance novel was powerful... but those people can 🇸 🇺 🇨 🇰 🇮 🇹 .
𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗔 𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗨𝗟 𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞. 𝐏𝗼𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐝/𝐭𝐡𝐫𝗼𝐮𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝗼𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝. We all know it can be difficult to feel like all 3 main characters equally share the spotlight in these types of novels- outside of the naughty bits when all the players are on the field. I swear to you that is ɴᴏᴛ the case in this book. As a reader I was floored by how balanced the characters’ narratives and stories were. If you like spicy filled—- whew! Get ready! My kindle probably thinks I threw it in a hot oven!
This novel was 𝗛𝗢𝗧 𝗔𝗙 obviously- but it transcends that by leaps and bounds. Each decision, detail, and nuance was distinct and beautifully written for each character. I’m frankly blown away by what the author managed to do here.

This book put me through a roller coaster of emotions. Nate and Nora are a married couple trying to conceive and Evan is their best friend who offers to help them out. But that is just the tip of the iceberg of what all is going on in this amazing book.
First off, the obvious, there is discussion of fertility issues throughout the book. I think Charme does an excellent job of showing the reality without letting it overcome the rest of the story. It is the driving point for the entire plot, but it is not the most important theme in my mind.
This is mostly a friends to lovers romance times three. Nate, Nora and Evan all met in University, and have been close ever since. However, they are all holding things back from each other to fit into the expectations of how they felt their lives should go. I love how the story is what happens when they start to explore what they actually want, regardless of what anyone else will think.
I love how throughout the book, Nate and Nora's relationship is solid. They are everything a long term marriage can be, supportive and comfortable while still giving everything to each other. I really appreciate that even through the difficult issues in this book, there is never a discussion of the big D. At the same time, it almost seems like adding Evan into their relationship only adds to the overall whole, and its not that much of a stretch to expand their current friendship to add the sexy bits. And the sexy bits are EXTREMELY sexy. Breeding kink or not, this spice is top notch.
Evan is a very sympathetic character. He is very aware of the fact that he would be the outsider in the relationship, and is doing everything he can to protect himself from the devastation he risks if things go wrong. It's a scary thing to be wanting something so bad for so long and then finally be on the verge of either getting it all or losing everything.
In real life I struggle to believe a triad like theirs could actually work. But for a fictional variety, these three are clearly #goals.
Thanks to the author for the advanced copy. All opinions are my own.
Thank you to The Author Agency and the author for the opportunity to read His Best Friend’s Offer by Annie Charme.
This was honestly such an emotional, messy, rewarding, and surprisingly heartfelt read for me.
Going into this book, I already had high hopes because the premise immediately caught my attention, and thankfully it absolutely delivered for me.
Nora and Nate are already deeply in love, but they’re struggling with infertility and the emotional weight that comes with wanting a family so badly. Watching them navigate those feelings together already made the story emotional, but adding Evan into the mix brought an entirely different layer to everything.
Evan volunteering to help them have the family they’ve always dreamed about could have easily stayed simple in theory… except emotions, attraction, vulnerability, and love complicated everything in the best possible way.
What I really appreciated about this story was how human all three characters felt. They were all people pleasers in different ways, constantly trying to protect others before themselves, but slowly learning how to choose what they actually wanted instead of what felt safest or easiest.
The infertility representation especially hit emotionally for me. The desperation, grief, hope, fear, and longing for a family all felt very real throughout the story.
And honestly? The emotional moments balanced so well with the spice because yes… the spice was definitely spicing 🌶️
This book managed to feel emotional, comforting, chaotic, vulnerable, and rewarding all at once, and it’s honestly one I could absolutely see myself rereading.
If you enjoy: 💗 Why choose romance 💗 Emotional relationship dynamics 💗 Infertility representation 💗 Friends-to-lovers elements 💗 Found family feelings 💗 Messy but heartfelt relationships 💗 High emotional stakes with rewarding payoff
then I definitely think this one is worth checking out.
Very privileged to have received this as part of Annie’s arc team
This book does have trigger warnings including infertility so please check before you read.
Annie writes love stories that have plus sized characters and it’s fab - it’s refreshing to read a man loving a larger lady not caring about her rolls or squishy tummy.
This book hits all the feels and I did cry more than once reading this. The relationships between them all is just beautiful and whilst yes they love each other it’s the bond of the friendships that gripped me the most. Especially Nate and Evan they were soul mates before they even admitted their attraction. It’s not easy for an author to capture that in a friendship but Annie has done it so beautifully it blended perfectly into love. The same with Nora and Evan. The writing is outstanding non of the usual soppy bumble you normally get instead we get honest raw emotions and relationships. The feelings Evan goes through as he comes to terms with who he is at the same time as becoming a dad with the two most important people in his world has me reaching for the tissues.
Whilst we have the struggle with fertility and all the stresses that comes with it we also get the complicated triad and the feelings alongside it. The complexity of both stories just fit together like it was meant to be, that the story wouldn’t make sense if they weren’t all there. This book is Nate Evan and Nora, the 3 of them together just makes perfect sense and it shows in the writing, the structure and the poetic blend of struggle and happiness.
This is definitely one book that will be read over and over and i highly recommend this why choose love story

Annie Charme really delivered something emotional, messy, spicy, and surprisingly healing with His Best Friend’s Offer.
I went in expecting a fun and unconventional romance, but this story hit so much deeper than that. At the centre are Nora and Nate, a married couple struggling with infertility, and their best friend Evan, who offers to help them conceive. What starts as a practical arrangement quickly becomes far more complicated emotionally, physically, and romantically.
The infertility storyline felt heartbreakingly honest. The grief, disappointment, and desperation Nora experiences were written with so much care and vulnerability that it genuinely hurt to read at times. The emotional weight of wanting something so badly and feeling your body fail you came through incredibly well.
What really made this story stand out though was the relationship between all three characters. Their connection evolves so naturally beyond friendship and physical attraction into something tender, supportive, and deeply loving. Watching Nate, Nora, and Evan slowly stop living for everyone else and start choosing their own happiness was honestly beautiful.
There’s definitely plenty of spice, but the emotional intimacy is what stayed with me most. The story balances heat with genuine vulnerability, healing, and growth, especially with the bi awakening elements and the complicated feelings that come with redefining love and family.
Messy at times? Absolutely. Emotional? Very. But it was also warm, heartfelt, swoony, and full of characters you can’t help rooting for. A bold and beautifully written romance about love not fitting neatly into traditional boxes.
ARC Review His Best Friend’s Offer by Annie Charme Releasing May 14
This one surprised me in many ways. Yes, it’s steamy but the parts that kept me turning pages weren’t the spice. It was Nora, Nate, and Evan together. The tenderness and the longing. The way this messy, complicated situationship becomes something that looks a whole lot like family.
As a plus-size woman who’s lived through infertility, so much of Nora and Nate’s journey hit close to home. The month‑after‑month heartbreak, the doctor visits, the lack of real answers… it all felt painfully familiar.
I wasn’t thrilled with how the parents reacted to the throuple or the baby, but I did love how their friends and coworkers showed up with understanding and support. And honestly, seeing two men love, desire, and cherish a plus-size woman and each other with so much softness was everything. That’s the representation I’ll always show up for!
I will say the book felt long for me. At 497 pages, I found myself wanting more movement in the “in‑between” moments while the throuple was figuring out their relationship. The main plot really centers on the three of them navigating their feelings and trying to get Nora pregnant, and outside of that there isn’t much additional plot. I definitely think it could have been tighter.
Tropes: 💛 Why Choose (MMF) 💛 Bi Awakening 💛 Found Family 💛 Pregnancy Romance 💛 Friends to Lovers 💛 One Bed 💛 It’s Always Been You
4.5 Hang on to your heartstrings, babes, because they are all about to be tugged. This book was an emotional powerhouse of a read. This is only my second AC book (previously read Protecting Poppy), and this definitely felt like quite the detour from what that book felt like. Not only was this book significantly longer, it was a delicate and passionate journey for all three characters. But AC was sure to keep in all the spice you’ve come to expect from her as well.
Be sure to check your content warnings going into this one. The book centers around two of the main characters struggling to conceive for several years. If you’re sensitive to infertility issues, please think of your own heart and mental well being before reading. Although, keep in mind, this book truly is a beautiful journey amongst Nora, Nate, and Evan.
There is so much love between the three of them and it was really special to see them work through what they needed to in order to get to the end goal. This happily ever after was hard fought for all of our MCs. It was also really special to see all the characters have flashbacks to their college years when all of their feelings are just budding and no one knows what it could mean or how to move forward. Definitely a special journey all the way to the end.
I would definitely recommend picking this one up if you enjoy MMF, plus size characters, workplace romance, angst/yearning/tension, and of course, pregnancy.
His Best Friend’s Offer is a Why Choose/ MMF romance which was messy, emotional, spicy, and honestly way more heartfelt than I expected.
The whole setup is already wild in the best way. Nate and his wife Nora want a baby more than anything, but after IVF isn’t an option and they find out Nate is infertile, his solution is to ask the one person they both trust - his best friend and business partner, Evan. And from there, what was meant to be “just an arrangement” gets complicated very quickly.
What I really liked is that this wasn’t just spice for the sake of it. Yes, it’s steamy, but underneath that there’s so much emotion around wanting a family, feeling like your body has let you down, and realising love doesn’t always have to fit into one neat little box.
Nate and Evan’s side of the story really added something too. The bi-awakening element felt like more than just a trope as there was confusion, vulnerability, and that slow realisation that maybe the feelings have been there longer than anyone wanted to admit.
It’s messy, tender, spicy, and full of those “how is this actually going to work?” moments that keep you turning pages. A few parts felt a little chaotic, but honestly, that kind of suited the story.
Thank you to the author and The Author Agency for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
His Best Friend’s Offer by Anne Charme was messy in the absolute best way possible. Emotional, complicated, funny, spicy, awkward, tender, basically everything I love in an MMF romance rolled into one giant “just one more chapter” situation.
What starts as a practical arrangement quickly becomes so much more, and honestly? Watching these three navigate feelings, friendship, attraction, fear, and family had me completely invested. The chemistry between all of them felt believable too, which is so important in a why choose romance. Nothing felt forced.
Evan absolutely stole scenes every time he appeared. The humour, the tension, the way he slid himself into Nate and the FMC’s life so naturally, I was obsessed. And Nate? Sweet fixer energy had me weak from the start.
I also really loved that this story wasn’t just spice for the sake of spice. There’s genuine emotion underneath it all. Questions about what love “should” look like, whether family has to fit one shape, and how scary it can be to want more than the life you originally planned.
Add in bi awakening, found family vibes, one bed tension, friendship dynamics and emotional chaos? Yeah. This one had me hooked.
If you love emotional MMF romances with heart, heat, humour, and characters you genuinely root for, absolutely pick this up.
Thank you so much for the eARC of His Best Friend's Offer, disclaimer here: my review is my unbiased opinion.
When I read the blurb for His Best Friend's Offer I was intrigued, now I know there's trigger warnings with this book but I was not expecting the raw emotional rollercoaster I was taken on. This novel is written with such sensitivity and each moment is vital to the storyline. I loved Annie Charme's writing she's created characters that are realistic and relatable, every moment that those characters go through you feel it with them. The ups and downs are laid out bare. I loved the dynamics between Nora, Nate and Evan the way their characters are witb each other works so well. Without spoilers the events throughout felt so realistic and if in real life I could see people reacting the same way and I felt Evan was true to that characteristic. The way this story played out had me invested, though chapter 56 to 58 broke me - no spoilers. The chapters after that had my emotions on high and by the end of the story I'm an emotional wreck. I loved it!!
*My review sounds like it's all doom and gloom, this book isn't. It's raw, it's emotional, it's a journey, It gives hope and it gives life.
As a person who suffered from a fertility problem, this book hit my heart. I was not expecting to be emotionally moved while reading. I honestly thought this book was going to set the pages on fire, which it did but it was so much more. The heartbreak, guilt, and loss were at the forefront of the story, but there was also a strong sense of friendship and love among everyone. Ms. Charme gave us three people who were not only friends but family and would do anything for one another. When Nate and Nora couldn't conceive, their best friend, Evan, stepped up to offer help. Now, if you're thinking of using a clinic was in the books, you are very wrong. When Nora learned about Nate and Evan's past, things got interesting, to say the least. Even though the three of them crossed the line of just being friends, there were emotions and heartbreak that went along with the love they all shared. Their road to happiness was not an easy one to travel. They hit several roadblocks, family members who had opinions about what was happening, feelings of not being enough, feelings of interfering with the marriage and being an outsider. When things finally settled, the three of them, well, the four of them, found love and became a family.
"His Best Friend's Offer" by Annie Charme is a contempory Romance which centers around a married couple Nate and Nora and their Best Friend Evan. All three of them have been friends since school and run their own business together.
If you are a fan of unconventional Poly relationships that are full of found family and lots of spice then you should read this book.
The book starts with Nora being upset because of their issues to conceive a baby and Evan comforting her. Nate then finds out that he is the reason why they can not conceive, but when they look into other options because of Nora being a bigger girl they don't have all the options that they want. They talk to Evan about it as he has been there for both of them. When they decide Evan can be a sperm donor they decide to just go about it the old fashioned way. This scene is so well written and isn't uncomfortable like it could have been it felt so natural.
This is a MMF book and probably one of the best I have ever read. The spice is so good but that isn't all it is there is so much plot and emotion to support it.
Nora and her husband, Nate have not been able to get pregnant. Their journey has been full of heartbreak and the inability to conceive. They have discussed IVF but Nora would have to lose a lot of weight to even be considered. They discussed using a private donor since Nate is unable to impregnate Nora, until their best friend Evan offers to be their donor over dinner.
What some might consider unconventional, Evan and Nora attempt to conceive the traditional way instead of using an at home kit, all while Nate is also involved. When the first month’s attempt fails, they are yet again heartbroken.
All while this occurs, secretly each of them yearns for the other two hoping for more than just attempts at getting pregnant. They’ve been best friends for years, are business partners and they want each other. This journey is about acceptance, love and hope.
Is their emotional connection enough? Will they conceive? Can their friendship survive? Grab a copy of their story to find out!

I loved this book. I was expecting something very different. More akin to MMF smut. But what this book actually is a very touching and sensitive exploration of infertility and the impact it has on relationships. Nate and Nora are a long time married couple having met at Uni. Their best friend Evan is their colleague and anchor. These three do everything together. When Nate and Nora start looking at infertility options, Evan is happy to step in and offer to help. And so starts their journey of navigating love X 3.
This book isn't all roses and romance. These three all have their own issues to overcome around abandonment, loss and fear. They have to work through emotions and the complexities of opening up an established marriage to take in a third. It all feels right and natural. But they still have to face the big questions around change and starting a new family.
This is a gorgeous love story between three people wanting a family of their own. There are elements of bisexual awakening and facing emotions and identity. But together these three are just beautiful and their love story is heartwarming.
Went into this ARC without any expectations. I thought it would be something different and fun, but it was so much more than that! I was not prepared for the amount of emotions I’d go through while reading this book!
Don’t let the title fool you — it is about a throuple kind of situation, and chef’s kiss for the spice, but there is also a beautiful emotional depth that Annie Charme was able to convey throughout the story. That being said, please check the trigger warnings before reading…
Writing about struggles with conception is not easy, and it can quickly lack depth or become cliché, but here, it just felt raw and real. Annie Charme made it feel like I was experiencing Nora, Nates & Evan’s journey while they navigate this unconventinal new chapiter and I was completely invested in it !
Now I’m almost sad I finished the book….I think I want more!
Thank you to Annie Charme and The Author Agency for this ARC !
This book made me cry and that's a good sign of a great author and storyline! This book is about Nate and Nora who are struggling to have children. Annie's description of how Nate felt about not having children really struck accord with me as I cannot have children and have thought a lot of what Nate thought. The only way they can have children is via a donor. Evan, their best friend and business partner offers to become their donor and that's where the storyline really opens up. Annie has an amazing way with words and my heart broke and healed when reading this book. The friendship that Evan, Nate and Nora have is more than just skin deep, it has years of emotions and a true friendship. The spice in this book was so hot! Don't read it on the plane like I did and had to make the writing smaller on my kindle so the passenger beside me could not see what I was reading! This was my first book by Annie and I absolutely adored it. I am now off to read her other books!!
Fun, scortching hot, and lighthearted with an emotional sweetness that lingers.
Nora, Nate, and Evan completely stole my heart with their story. Not only was it spicy but so heartfelt and adorable. I couldn't get enough of their dynamic and how their relationship developed. They were so perfect for each other and complimented one another so well. This is what im talking about when I say found family in a why-choose.
When it came to the sensitive topics, Annie Charme delivered them with care. For those of you who enjoy when the boyfriends are boyfriends, this one was extra well done. These three were too deliciously hot together. Love is love, baby.
This was an easy read that left a huge smile on my face.

Thank you, TAA and Annie Charme, for the opportunity to read this book.
Nate, Evan & Nora are best friends from uni. Nate and Nora got married and Nate and Evan set up a company together that Nora also works in. Nate and Nora struggle to conceive, this is where Evan steps in and offers to help. However they do not do this via a company they decide to do this on their own the old fashioned way.
Annie captures this struggle so openly and honestly. This broke my heart but in a good way. You get the emotions from all 3 of them and how the situations affects them differently. This is a situation they are trying to navigate and also to make sure that their friendship does not get broken. How Nate and Evan worship Nora is so wholesome and makes me as a reader and a female think this is what love should be like.
This is raw and wholesome, with plenty of spice which is 🔥🔥🔥.

Going into this, as someone who would never be able to have children, but also doesn’t want children, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to connect with the main character, but WOW. The writing sucked me right in.
Nora was immediately likable, and someone I could identify with, especially her monthly struggles with pain and the emotional toll it takes. I’m also a plus sized girl, and doctors like to blame everything on weight, which made it even easier to connect with her.
I could not put this one down. I was instantly hooked in the chaos and drama that was Nate and Evan, and their back story from Uni was equal parts adorable and heartbreaking.
Watching the three of them come together (pun totally intended) was beautiful.
A touching and loving story about a journey between a wife and husband and their struggle with infertility. But it's also a story about love and how love can be more than just between two people. When Nora and Nate find out that he can't give her the baby they've always wanted, Evan, their best friend steps in to help. While they embark on the journey of creating a life by getting pregnant, they also embark on the journey of creating a life together as partners in every sense of the word. This book was written with care and honest feelings on how it is for some when it comes to the feelings and emotions revolving around infertility. I loved how this journey brought them all together and even showed the struggles of having an unconventional relationship as well. This book was such a great read and I definitely recommend it!
