This is a horror novel inspired by Aokigahara Forest, better known as Japan’s “Suicide Forest.”
The story follows six paranormal investigators as they enter the forest to uncover the horrors hidden within it. But will they all make it back out alive?
I went into this expecting more of a psychological horror, but for me it leaned much more towards traditional horror. While there are moments that play with your mind, I didn’t feel there was enough depth or description to create the tense, unsettling atmosphere that makes psychological horror so effective.
I also felt that parts of the story were quite rushed. I would have loved more background on each of the characters before they entered the forest, as it would have helped me connect with them and made their individual journeys feel more meaningful.
Overall, I enjoyed the premise and thought the story had a lot of potential, but it needed more detail and stronger character development to fully immerse me. It was an enjoyable read, but it just didn’t quite reach the level I was hoping for.
Also lots of spelling mistakes and words missing from this book not sure if it was AI written or not but if this was proof read before going to print I think they should be sacked.
