Bailey knows how to handle drunk men, bad tips, and attention that makes her skin crawl. She’s sharp because she has to be, guarded because softness has never protected her, and restless because the Pine Barrens feel like a trap. Danny has spent his life hidden in the trees, feared as a myth and treated like a warning story. He’s monstrous, lonely, and untouched by the ordinary life he watches from a distance. It's a short story. It doesn't take itself too seriously. Insta love but not much build up for it. Again, it's short. Danny was a nice protective Jersey Devil.lol He doesn't know much about dating but he knows how to talk dirty and get down with Bailey.🤭 Go figure. There's a hissy Cat. Bailey reads monster romances, so she isn't afraid of Danny and yeah, she wants him. It's a little weird.😁 Shout out to Cat.😼 Happy reading.*•>§<•*💚💚💚

Cozy, cutesy, caliente, and campy, Daiquiri for the Devil is a fun lunch-hour getaway. Keep in mind, this is a 58 page short story, you’re gonna get instalove—it is impossible to slow burn with a story this short.

The characters drove the storyline and they were so very appealing and likeable and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and exciting and well paced. World building was excellent and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

[ The Jersey Devil is surprisingly sweet.]
If you ever wondered what the Jersey Devil does in his spare time, apparently he watches reality TV, eats crickets, and falls fast for a human. This is a very short creature feature novella that reads fast and keeps things moving without getting bogged down in unnecessary setup. The main monster is more charming than terrifying, making the whole fated-mates vibe feel pretty cozy despite the obvious tail situation. It is definitely a quick escape rather than a deep, complex plot, but the balance of sweetness and spice works for what it is. It delivers exactly the kind of quick, low-stakes monster romance you expect from the description.

The plot was predictable and I use that word in a good way. I was looking forward to my to main characters getting to know one another and falling in-love or having insta-lust and getting their HEA. I got those things, however, every couple of chapters the personalities and behaviors changed. A major event happened, that isn't brought up again until toward the end and even so the resolution doesn't make sense with previous behavior. Basically, it would have benefited from another proofread.

Super cute short story with action and suspense - breath of fresh air!
Bailey is a bartender in Big Foot bar (hint in the bar name ;) )
When two problematic customers do not like to be told to take a hike and attack her, the Jersey Devil (aka Danny) helps her.
I love Danny, he is such a good person and so human (despite his wings and hooves and horns).
They make a gorgeous couple.
Looking forward to my next monster!.

loved it !! a great start for this new series !!! love Danny !!! love Bailey..! this is their insta love short story... a fun fast paced rom/com drama... Danny is the Jersey Devil and he's lonely and bored.. he watches .. it's what he does... Bailey is the bartender at the dive bar here in the Pine Barrens...she's tough and no nonsense... when, 2 customers attack her because she told them no !!! Danny comes to the rescue... and this is the beginning...it's sweet and hot !!.

I am ALL for some cryptid/monster smut books. It is my jam. I have read some really good ones but this one just wasn't it for me. It was a nice short read but it was too insta love for me. I can't stand insta love. It gives me zero reason to feel a connection between characters and that ruins the whole thing for me. If you just want some monster smut then you'll probably like this.

The story was a super quick read, full of spice and a cryptid with a vibrating tail.
Not sure if this is instalove or lust but more or less had both. It is a fated mate story.
FMC is a bartender who gets in a little trouble after her shift and the Jersey devil is there to save her. I love how the "monster" gets to be the one to save her!
Also a grumpy cat is involved with the story. Love an animal side character!

I do not have a lot to say without spoiling of such a short novella ^^' but I can say that I'm happy the two in the beginning had an humiliation and that the lovers are mating!
I don't know if i'll go on with the saga, why not but I got a lot af books on mu TBR ^^.
