4.75 like this author is gonna pen a man so good that you got ya suitcase packed and ready to leave ya old life behind for a new one in this fictional city. I think the romance, passion and the integrity of the MMC really made this a stand out story for me. The FMC was nice as well but it just felt like we never saw many examples of her “crippling” anxiety and fear of settling down like sure we saw she was jet setting and trailblazing for work & kinda wanting to pause… but there wasn’t really a why like we never got see enough to me to justify her choices. Like we have her big bad and bold at work and in most scenarios but the one time she has to face the music and TELL THE TRUTH she was lost for words ??? Like no sorry I just needed a little more with that a few more examples of this behavior. Cus for me it was giving cop out/ playing with other peoples emotions. Overall everything comes together really well. Loved the love story and the supportive cast of friends and cameos from older characters. I look forward to coming back to Coupeville again and again.

The ride was rough
I can not imagine anyone being a match for Kennedi besides Rolani. He was a tough one to out maneuver and frankly, who would want to take that position? Kennedi had her own mind, and wanted life on her terms. She knew good and well that her man would come for her. The track star met a better opponent. Book 4 was worth every page and theatrics this couple endured.

Emotional, but such a sweet story—I really enjoyed this one.
Rolani is THAT man—protective, intentional, and completely down bad in the best way. And the way he shows up while dealing with so much… yeah, soft spot activated.
Kennedi… stressed me out a bit. Adding her to my list of track stars. For someone as intelligent as she is (with so many rules), she was making some very questionable decisions. She had me screaming, “sis, just let that man love you!”
The chemistry was undeniable—Ro had her whole nervous system in chaos, and I loved watching him step up every time it mattered. When they finally got it right, my heart was full. They both deserved that love and care.

I love a Man that Mans!!! Rolani was all that so busy being all that for others he couldn't be for himself until he met Kennedi she was a track star but couldn't help but see all that Lani was this was a sexxy love story and we got to see old friends.

I can't wait for Robin and Spirit!!!
Kennedi worked all the nerves I have! Rolani is one of the Lords toughest soldiers because he has the most patience I have ever read in a book because Kennedi tried this man for 52% of the book. However one she got it together it was like a steam train of nonstop love. I think Dre the barber also needs a book!

It was an okay read for me. It didn’t leave me wanting to know more about Robin and Spirit especially why Robin went to prison and Monshay’s part in it. All four books have had the women as runners having to be overly chased down by the men. That storyline has been overwritten in this series in my opinion. I struggled to finish this book.

A love that blossoms through the concrete.....
Mrs. C. Monet has done it AGAIN! This series is not short of genius because every MMC has been that man. She got us all thinking "Mama there goes that man." Rolani went just as hard for Kennedi as the three other friends. He knew from the first encounter that Kennedi was his other half. He unintentionally connected her to him for eighteen plus years. It bloomed into a love that was going to withstand the hands of time. Kennedi came into his life and lifted some of the world off his shoulders. She had to learn how to stop running first and just settle. Rolani was his family savior at one point, and it seemed that issue after issue kept rolling in. He took it in stride and became the person everyone needed. He was more like a father figure to Monroe than an uncle. Kennedi stood in the gap as a mother to her as well. Together, they made sure Monroe had a real childhood and bright future. Monroe was quite intelligent for her age. Rolani and Kennedi nutured Monroe while simultaneously growing deeper in love.
Ladies and gents, if you all haven't got into this series, I don't know why not. It is straight fire. You will fall in love with every one of these men. They love hard and loud. Not one played about their wives.

Rolani and Kennedi!!
It was lust at first sight for Rolani and Kennedi. Rolani put pressure on Kennedi from the very beginning. He wasn't playing about going after what he wanted. Kennedi was not ready to commit to Rolani so she decided to run from the feelings that he made her feel. A life-changing event caused Kennedi to finally put a stop to running. There were so many emotions in the book that pulled at my heartstrings. I really enjoyed the passionate and sensual moments between Rolani and Kennedi. This book had me enthralled from beginning to end. I loved the bond that Rolani had with his niece, Monroe. She was the ray of sunshine in Rolani's life that he needed since he was going through a lot of grief due to the death of his grandmother. I also loved how the author included characters from previous books. It was great getting updates on them. This was another great book in the series. I can't wait for the author to give us Robin and Spirit's book.

I’ve really enjoyed every book in this series, and Kennedi and Rolani’s story was definitely worth the journey! 📚✨
Kennedi was naturally a runner when it came to relationships, while Rolani was a busy man juggling a lot in his life. Their friends, Giovanni and Paige, played matchmaker, and from the moment they met, the chemistry was undeniable. 🔥💫 Their first night and weekend together were unforgettable.
But true to form, Kennedi ghosted Rolani and took a job far away for several months, cutting everyone off while she was gone. During that time, she discovered she was pregnant. 👶🏽💔
Even after returning home, Kennedi tried to keep her guard up, but Rolani slowly broke those walls down with patience, love, and consistency. ❤️ Once Kennedi finally embraced her true feelings for him, their relationship blossomed into something beautiful with no turning back. 🥰💍

Where is my Rolani?
So we just going to collectively state that Rolani is a crash out that protects all. My boy held the weight of the world on his shoulder while dealing with grief. I loved his pure heart but enjoyed his remarks about Kennedi even more.
My girl was a track star for real without physically running. Everyone had something to say because in reality it was time for her to sit down. Her reasons were valid as she was perfecting her craft and chasing her career. However, we knew that plane meeting changed everything.
This book was deep as there were a lot of emotions at play on both ends. Ro needed some time to sit and just be and Ken needed to stay still and focus on letting herself be loved in one place.
Pick it up because you will enjoy their journey and curse Kennedi out along the way.

WOW !!!!
This book definitely surpassed my expectations! I knew the tone I was leaving off with Paige & Giovanni, but Kennedi & Rolani was SOMETHING ELSE! Kennedi had me in my emotions for a hot minute with her actions! And I say that in a good way. Rolani had me in the beginning. He was about business with Kennedi. The thing is being scared will cost you at some point, and it really cost them both. But once Kennedi worked through her stuff, my girl was really enjoying everything she deserved….and Rolani too! That man really was going through some things, and he wouldn’t let up on Kennedi. They really ended up being a great match for each other. Now I have INQUIRING thoughts on Giovanni sister & Rolani brother !!!!!

Can't run forever
Kennedi and Rolani gave me everything I needed. Rolani took on so much for his family that he never had someone take him into account fully... Until Ken finally decided to stop running. That woman was a fool for that man even when she was trying to be FloJo. When her mama dressed her down about Ro when he showed up at her parents after he told her not to play with him was one of the best parts of the book, after the radio interview. Literally every man in this series has been perfectly imperfect, but they stepped and stepped hard for the women they wanted. I need Robin and Spirit to make it last forever next. Happy Reading Y'all!💋

Rolandi was so patience with Kennedi, more than she deserved tbh😏but baby Rolani is a dream n showed up each n every time!!! The romance in this was top tier!! I feel like my eyes were watering 85% of this book!!! I was also fusing at Kennedi 50% of it cause girl what?? Rolani was everything and i think I’ve said this before but this author writes men so well. You have to read a few of her books to see what I’m talking about.

I love Ro and Ken. It was excellent. It was emotional. I love how the author showed us that they can find love. It is usually the man running and the woman wanting him. Now, it is the reverse. Ro gave her what she needed, and .then he went after his woman. I saw a powerful story.
I cant wait to read Robin and Spirit book.

This was such a good read! I enjoyed it from start to finish.
It was fun, funny, sexy, sweet, messy, & beautiful. I absolutely adore Rolani & Kennedi.
Even through their moments of angst and uncertainty, I felt all of the feels & I felt all of the love.
I love it in Coupeville; I cannot wait to come back again!

Mannnn Kennedi, had me annoyed!!! I am so sad bc I usually love all of C. Monet’s books but this was such a miss for me. Mind you she didn’t even apologise sincerely and had a lot of nerve questioning him when she acted like she didn’t want him. I struggled to finish the book as the FMC kinda ruined it for me

Loved every second of Kennedi and Romani’s story!!!
Now don’t get me wrong, there were moments I was done with Ken but she definitely redeemed herself.
This book was the perfect length, dotting all i’s and crossing every t.
I can’t wait to read about his brother because I know that’s going to be good.

I do believe that Rolani has stepped into the role of favorite C. Monet male lead!! Baby! He knew what he wanted from the door! I loved the way he loved her and was so glad when she stopped running. Great read!

This works by C Monet was absolute perfection! I loved every bit of this story! Ken ran from everything that was good for her and the beginning, but I’m so glad that she finally got on board. This was a great book!

Beautiful story
This was a beautiful story! Despite a few hiccups along the way. The way Ro loved Ken. Is the love I want for my girls, my nieces and friends. I found mine 24 years ago and been holding strong since. 10/10 I absolutely would RECOMMEND!!!

This was a great read. It hit highs and lows but I was always in it. Rolani was not playing with Kennedi. He literally brought all of the energy.

Can't even rank them
I thought I had a favorite in this love by any means series. But it's at this point I can't even rank them, because I thought I knew my favorites, but it's like, I don't know my favorites. This book was everything. It gave such a realness to she a runner. She a track star, being scared to love and be loved. But falling off the deep end into a love greater than you could have ever imagined. Rolani was that guy. He was that man that consistently showed up and constantly stated what he knew would be for him. Neither character was perfect, and they had their moments. But when they really were able to talk it out and get past that the beauty that was their relationship wis immaculate. Simone has surely and quickly become one of my favorite authors to read. If I need a good slow burn, that is going to deliver. Not only plot character development and story. I know where I'm going.... And baby, she ate down with this one. I am super excited to see spirit and robin's story because there is so much there, there is so much there left to uncover. And I just I need to know.
