He’s the arrogant billionaire who’ll stop at nothing to reclaim the woman he betrayed. She’s the one whose heart he broke—and who vowed she’d never take him back.

Three years ago, I watched Vance Falcon leave the country with another woman on the morning news—from the hotel penthouse we’d shared the night before.

Twenty years my senior, and sinfully charming, he’d made me believe we shared a real connection. But he didn’t just deceive me in love. He took everything I’d worked for with him.

I’ve hated him for it every day since.

Now Vance is back—the same egotistical alpha who won’t accept no for an answer, demanding that I give him a second chance.

But I’ve built my highly successful career and planned my future without him. I refuse to let him tear it all apart.

There’s just one Dr Vance Falcon is as insanely hot as he was the day we met—and just as persuasive. He insists that I’m his angel and I’ll always be his.

And resisting him is proving almost impossible…

But loving Vance Falcon cost me dearly once. What if this time it costs me everything?

In Love and Betrayal is a sizzling billionaire-lover, second-chance, dual-point-of-view romance, starring the heart-stoppingly sexy Dr Vance Falcon and his greatest beautiful, independent and successful Dove Fairfax. Perfect for fans of T L Swan and Rosa Lucas.

‘I’m done thinking. It’s time to act. Starting with playing by my rules.’

Gosh, this was not what I was expecting! There were hints in book 1 of this series about Dove and Vance, and their history, but I never guessed it was quite so deep.
Check your triggers- this book is heavy and there are a lot of sensitive topics that make up big parts of the story.
Vance betrayed Dove 3 years ago, but now he’s back and he’s determined to make her his again. He won’t stop until she forgives him and they’re back together. He has no idea what Dove has been through since though, and she has no interest in entertaining him any more. Can he change her mind?

This book is emotional for so many reasons, and thank goodness I knew there would be a HEA!
I’m so intrigued for the rest of the Fairfax siblings books too and hope we see lots more of Dove and Vance in the future.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC.

It's a second chance romance with two timelines. Now and three years ago (well, at least while I was reading it). And it's an age gap. A BIG one. Like… scary big one. At least in my opinion.

I started reading and decided I didn't like it at 11%. I DNFed it. Then I thought, maybe I'm being too harsh. Maybe I just need a few more chapters to, you know, get into the book and let myself actually be in the moment. Cuz sometimes that's the case for me.

So I read another 20%+… and… yeah… I just can't feel anything for the main characters. No connection at all. Not between them, and definitely not between me and the book. I tried, but I just didn't enjoy it.

Wow! Elle never disappoints, she is an auto-buy author for me, but this book? WOW! What a masterpiece, the angst, the emotional roller coaster that this story put us through is out of this world! It brought all the emotions out of me, it left me in tears and it filled my heart with joy.

Vance & Dove's story is not for the weak, these two went through hell and back to find their HEA. The tension, the angst and I might even say the hate is high! This story is about second chances, forgiveness, and soulmates. It’s beautiful, raw and it will break your heart and put it back together again.

The spice is scorching, burn your Kindle out of your hands kind of spice! It's so well written and it shows the passion between these two!

I loved this book with all my heart, one of my favorite reads of this year! Infinite stars!

Wow, wasn’t expecting this fabulous read when I started this book Elle writing style has gone from strength to strength.

Dove and Vance’s story had me invested in there story, the journey these to go is so emotional that you are turning the page in the blurb it is a HEA but my god do these to go through the mill to get there.

My heart broke from them both I can totally get why Vance did what he did anyone with heart would have choose that decision.

Dove once we found out why she was so closed off it broke me , still nota fan of her father but he did show promise at the end of the book.

As always it’s great to see past characters Rafe and Aurora but I can not wait to see where Elle take Gabe and Angelo

For me it’s 5🌟

ARC REVIEW 🤍📚

FROM CHAPTER THREE I HAD 100 QUESTIONS and needed answers IMMEDIATELY. 😭 And can we talk about the title?! Literally PERFECT for this story.

Vance comes back Three years after betraying Dove, determined to win her back but she is NOT the same woman he left behind. She’s rebuilt her life, her confidence, and her career, and she is not about to make it easy for him.

BUT VANCE?! THIS MAN GROVELS HARD. 😮‍💨

He bought her the exact same car he almost hit her with?! THE OWL?! 🦉 And hiring her a “running partner” who was basically there to keep an eye on her?! SIRRRR. 😭

I loved the push and pull between these two, and the dual POV with the past + present timeline had me NEEDING to know what happened three years ago.

This one is definitely heavier, so check your triggers, but the emotion, angst, secrets, and watching these two find their way back to each other?! SO GOOD. 🥹🤍

Story 2 ⭐ | Spice 3? 🌶️ I stopped paying attention to the spice because the relationship sucked.

I loved the first book in this series. It was fast paced, sharp, had well developed character, gut wrenching scenes (like Rafe finding Aurora hiding in the shower, when the owner comes home with Rafe for sex and she's still there cleaning), and an engaging plot (proving her father's innocence and the conspiracy behind his conviction).

So I was super excited to read this next book about Dove. But, goddess have mercy.

In short, this book talks about pregnancy ad nauseum and the miscommunication between Dove and Vance is grating. There's no heat, no chemistry, and it's a muddy slog to read the whole thing. Dove is not the same character she was in the previous book. Vance is not memorable.

I don't know who wrote this book, but it wasn't Elle Nicoll. I've read several of her books from the Mister series and Beaufort series, including the first book in this series, In Love and Revenge, and enjoyed her writing, finesse and nuance with characters and scenes. None of that exists in this book.

Book 1, In Love and Revenge, was fast-paced, funny, chaotic, and full of specific character moments. Aurora drawing devil faces on Rafe's magazine photos, Rafe chasing after her when she gets fired from the cleaning job, Gabe walking around the corporate office with a cat strapped to his chest. Book 2 lost that personality and chaos. Dove was a strong, likable, distinct character in book 1.

Instead, in this book, her world has been reduced to before Vance and after Vance. She's still obsessed with chasing her father’s approval even though she already knows he is a misogynist who keeps moving the goalposts.

Earlier in the story, Dove repeatedly states she doesn't want to have kids, etc. in part because she doesn't want to prove her father "right," that "that's all women are good for" when she's clamoring to become a partner in the family business. Her brother Rafe offers her a partner position, but SHE TURNS IT DOWN because for some unfuckingbelievable reason, since apparently it doesn't mean anything unless it's coming from dear old misogynist daddy. That she has to "earn it." And Rafe didn't earn it himself either, it was pushed on him and he fucked it up in Book 1, too. That reinforces the completely fucked up paternalistic relationship she has with all the males in her life, particularly Vance, since he's like 50 and she's, what? 28 or something.

This made me so mad, and not in a "morally gray MMC alphahole" way. Vance repeatedly ignores explicit boundaries. Dove says stop calling, stop sending things, leave me alone, I don't want anything to do with you. He treats every no as just an obstacle to overcome. He literally tells her she doesn't know what she wants and that she wants him. He decides he's going to prove it. He follows her, sends unwanted gifts, buys her a car after she has made it clear she wants nothing from him, and manipulates situations to get access to her. No is a complete sentence. This book reinforces the idea that no means "try harder," the bullshit myth that males should keep chasing, hitting on and coercing women into sex and relationships when they don't want them. It's not cute in this book, it's predatory and psychotic. Yeah lots of dark romance pushes boundaries but this isn't dark romance, and Vance isn't supposed to be a morally gray villain. He's just an egotistical doctor obsessed with Dove in the wrong ways, and ghosted her because he's a greedy jackass.

In the sex scene in Chapter 17, Dove’s body is used as the “real” truth when her words say no (again and again and again). Her body supposedly bends to his will, betrays her, reacts to him, or proves she still wants him. Consent became a romance shortcut. Her stated choice is worthless because physical arousal "says" she wants it. That's the same logic rapists use. Even more disgusting, we're supposed to believe that Vance’s persistence is romantic when it is coercive and manipulative (the book actually calls him manipulative). He refuses to accept her boundaries forcing her to give in.

The sex scene narrative is straight out of male-gaze porn fantasy. It centers his dominance, his orgasm, his ejaculation, his sexual uniqueness, and Dove’s body validating him. Dove’s POV during sex is limited enthusiastic physical reaction and proof that Vance is sexually superior. The semen-on-face/tongue material, facial, coming inside her, “only you,” and similar scenes are written around male sexual prowess and validation not Dove's experience. The unprotected-sex discussion is absolutely disgusting. He says "condom?" and then he says "I'm clean, I get tested all the time." Yeah because you are a nasty slutty man who sleeps around and leaves women like they're trash.

Vance makes EVERYTHING about himself. Dove brings up betrayal, boundaries, or what she wants and he redirects to his pain, his past, his love, his plans, or his determination to get her back. His tragic childhood backstory is manipulatively dropped into scenes where Dove is trying to leave or confront him. The owl scene could have humanized Vance, but instead taints the whole thing with ownership, with Dove enjoying a shared moment as proof that she still belongs to him. The father and Vance both treat Dove like she does not know what is best for herself. Her father decides what she is capable of. Vance decides what she wants.

Vance and Dove have no chemistry. His entire existence is limited to "you don't know what you want, only I know what you want and only I can provide it." The "flashback" chapters fail to establish the dreamy relationship she fantasizes about. Instead it basically shows them meeting and breaking up. It doesn't show what things were like before, so in present day, he absolutely comes across as a narcissistic piece of shit that won't fuck off despite being told to do so dozens of times. The betrayal is revealed immediately, so the flashbacks don't build mystery. The book already tells us Vance stole work Dove helped create, let someone else take credit, damaged her career, and left.

One solution would have been to group the past relationship together at the beginning. Show Dove and Vance meeting, falling for each other, building something real, then the betrayal. After that, jump to present day and stay there.

This book has a very different writing style than In Love and Revenge. It's full of generic alpha dialogue, like “You’re mine,” “I know what you need,” “written in the stars,” “I’m never letting you go.” The sex scenes are exclusively porn-coded sex language, fixated on ejaculation, possession, bodily spectacle, and his sexual supremacy. It fails to include character-specific humor that Book 1 included. It's FULL of repetitive internal narrative language like when Dove keeps cycling through the same reactions: body betrays brain, defenses soften, she hates that she wants him, he knows she still wants him. It's exhausting to read. Finally, this one lacks the usual Elle Nicoll nuanced scene work. Book 1 had scenes doing multiple things at once but here a lot of scenes are cookie cutter: Vance pushes, Dove resists, sexual tension overrides the conflict.

Did the author do heavy AI drafting? Maybe. Maybe hire ghostwriter(s). A lot of the book honestly sounds written by a male because Dove's POV is completely crushed. Get a new editor? Also maybe. But given the bland, repetitive narrative and flat characters, it seems like AI drafting without much human editing played a role, since this is Nicoll's 3rd full length book in a few months. Tight production schedules lend themselves to using AI drafting tools. We won't know for sure if that's what happened here, but we can see if the same issues come up in books published in 2027.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 STARS

WELL, VANCE FALCON… 😮‍💨🔥

I went into this book knowing I was probably going to have some serious feelings about Vance, but I was NOT prepared for the emotional rollercoaster Elle Nicoll had waiting for me.

Because how do you walk away from the woman you love, break her heart, take everything she worked for, disappear for THREE YEARS… and then come back expecting her to just give you another chance?! Sir. The audacity. 😂

Dove absolutely broke my heart. 💔 She had every reason to hate Vance and every reason to keep him firmly in her past. I loved seeing how much she'd grown and how hard she'd worked to build a successful life for herself without him. She wasn't some helpless heroine waiting for her billionaire to come back and save her. She was independent, strong, successful, and determined to protect everything she'd built.

And then there was Vance.

That arrogant, possessive, ridiculously sexy man had ONE goal: getting his woman back. 😏🔥 And watching him fight for Dove while slowly revealing the reasons behind his betrayal had me going through ALL the emotions.

Angry? Yep.
Frustrated? Absolutely.
Swooning? Unfortunately… VERY MUCH. 😂
Wanting to shake both of them at various points? Also yes.

The chemistry between these two was 🔥🔥🔥, and the age-gap dynamic, second-chance romance, billionaire hero, possessive alpha energy, and dual POV were exactly the combination I needed.

But what really got me was the emotional side of their story. This wasn't just about Vance wanting Dove back. It was about rebuilding trust after he'd completely shattered it and proving that love alone isn't enough when you've hurt someone this deeply.

And Dove making him WORK for it? 👏👏👏

AS SHE SHOULD.

I loved watching these two navigate all the hurt, betrayal, attraction, and unresolved feelings between them. There were moments where I wanted to yell at them, moments where my heart hurt for them, and plenty of moments where I was sitting there grinning like an idiot because THAT CHEMISTRY. 🫠

Elle Nicoll has once again reminded me why I love her books. She gives me characters who make me FEEL everything, and Vance Falcon is definitely going to be living rent-free in my head for a while.

If you love billionaire romances, second chances, age gaps, possessive alpha men, strong independent heroines, betrayal, groveling, and enough chemistry to set your Kindle on fire… add this one to your TBR. 🔥❤️

Vance may have betrayed her once…

But watching him fight like hell to earn her back?

Yeah. I ate that up. 😏

Elle Nicoll’s In Love and Betrayal is a second chance billionaire romance that hits with raw emotional depth that lingers. There were hints in book one about Dove and Vance and their history, but nothing prepared me for how deep and devastating their past truly was.

Three years after betraying Dove, Vance returns determined to win her back. What he doesn’t know is everything Dove has endured since he left. She has rebuilt her life, her confidence, and her career, and she has no intention of letting him walk back in and unravel it. Their push and pull is captivating and makes you want to turn the page.

This book is heavy in the best way. Check your triggers because the story deals with sensitive themes that shape the characters and their journey. The dual POV and the past and present structure are brilliant, letting every reveal land with maximum impact. When the truth finally comes out about why he left and what happened to Dove, it is heartbreaking, but watching them rebuild, even with obstacles in their way, is so relatable and draws that emotional depth right out of you in the most delicate unexpected way!

Vance Falcon is the ultimate arrogant alpha billionaire with a lot to make up for, and Dove is no longer the woman he walked away from. Their chemistry is electric, their banter is sharp and funny, and their emotional connection is gripping. There are moments that make you laugh and moments that make you tear up, all wrapped in loyalty, sacrifice, and family dynamics that complete the story.

What made this book stand out even more was Dove’s personal arc. I loved that her journey wasn’t confined to the romance. The exploration of what it means to be a woman choosing her own path, both personally and professionally, felt powerful and deeply relatable. That pressure society puts on women to choose between ambition and love is woven into the story with honesty and depth, making her journey resonate even more.

Dove and Vance’s second chance romance delivers raw emotional depth, heartbreaking reveals, and chemistry that keeps you turning the page. Dove’s journey of choosing her own path as a woman adds powerful, relatable layers that make the ending resonate.

Thank you to NetGalley, Elle Nicoll and the publisher for gifting me this eARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is an arc review ✨ thank you so much to Elle Nicoll and Amazon Publishing UK as well as Montlake for the gifted copy of the ebook through NetGalley!

I’ve been a romance book lover for as long as I can remember and sometimes it’s easy to always look for the HEA and forgetting that love stories aren’t meant to be perfect. Second chance romances are that reminder and Elle Nicoll is so good at writing them! The angst, the betrayal and the emotional roller coaster journey that this book takes you on is not for the weak of heart.

Dove and Vance should’ve had it all from the start but life doesn’t work like that. I’ll admit that I don’t tend to read much angst in my romance but I was curious about this book based on the blurb and I’m glad I gave it a chance and that I was chosen to be an arc reader for it. There’s something special about groveling and having a main male character that knows just how badly he screwed up and is willing to do anything for the woman he wants.

I really enjoyed this book and having read Rafe and Aurora’s book as well, I was familiar with Dove’s character but looking past the curtain in her own book I as pivotal in cementing how much I like her as a main character. She’s strong and she fights for what she wants, chasing her goals with a single mindedness that would make most corporate bros jealous. However, her business savvy genius doesn’t take away from her softness as a sister, a friend and who she is to Vance. I appreciate that balance in a FMC because it’s also human of her to be multidimensional.

Vance as a character took more time for me to fully appreciate and once I saw all his shades of grey, it’s easy to understand why he acted like he did even when I didn’t fully agree with him. Both main characters have so much to heal from in different ways and yet they wake up everyday ready to face whatever challenges, still harboring ongoing emotional traumas.

I’m rating this book 4.5 stars and for someone who was convinced that she wanted all sunshine and no angst in her HEA romance, I’ll admit that Elle Nicoll is changing my ways and giving angst romances a second chance as a favorite trope.

Thank you for the arc!

In Love and Betrayal by Elle Nicoll

Elle’s books never fail to delight me and In Love and Betrayal had me doing what I always seem to do with her stories - staying up far too late because I simply had to read just one more chapter…

Vance Falcon is the ultimate arrogant, alpha billionaire and he certainly has a lot to make up for.

Three years after brutally betraying Dove, he’s back and determined to win her over again.

But Dove is no longer the woman he left behind.
She’s independent, successful and has built a life without him and she is absolutely not prepared to let him waltz back in and destroy everything she’s worked so hard to achieve.

I really enjoyed the second-chance romance and the delicious push-and-pull between Vance and Dove. Their chemistry is undeniable and the dual POV works brilliantly, giving us a chance to understand both sides of this complicated relationship.

Vance may be incredibly frustrating at times, but there’s no denying that he’s also utterly captivating!

Dove is a fantastic heroine - strong, determined and more than capable of standing on her own two feet.

Watching Vance try to break down the walls she’s built around her heart made for a thoroughly addictive read.

There’s betrayal, heartbreak, passion, secrets and plenty of tension, all wrapped up in the kind of romance that keeps the pages turning.

And, of course, Elle Nicoll delivers another seriously swoon-worthy hero!

If you enjoy billionaire romance, second chances, strong heroines and plenty of chemistry, In Love and Betrayal is definitely one to add to your TBR.

Another fabulous read from Elle Nicoll — although I’m still blaming her for the lack of sleep! ❤️📚

I devoured this book in one sitting! I am so incredibly glad I found it on NetGalley as an ARC. Having loved the first book in the series, I was counting down the days for this one and felt so lucky I didn’t have to wait until November to dive back into this world. The storyline is deeply emotional and beautifully written. It has incredible depth, delivering the perfect amount of angst while dealing with heartache, trust issues, miscommunication, and family dynamics. There are plenty of moments that will make you giggle, but also times you will tear up. Dove was such a fiercely strong FMC, and the groveling from Vance is hands down the best!I also loved the unique touch of the cute owls, and getting to hear about all of the Fairfax brothers added so much to the plot without taking away from Dove and Dr. Vance Falcon. The loyalty, sacrifices, and family dynamics really made the story complete. And the spice? Absolute gold. It was perfect. The pacing was excellent; I never felt like rushing through the pages because nothing felt repetitive. I wanted to read every single word to make sure I took it all in. I am typically not a big fan of the age gap trope, but the author completely sold it for me here.I am so excited for the next brother's book! Is it Gabe or Angelo? I can't wait to find out! I really hope this one comes out in audio format on Kindle unlimited like the first book did so I can listen to it all over again!

Firstly, thank you for the ARC, as always I am so grateful for the opportunity!

In Love and Betrayal is the second installment in the All In Billionaires series will take you on a journey of highs and lows, tear you apart and then mend you! Elle just has this way of writing that no matter how long ago you last read a book in her series she transports you straight back into their world as if you never left!

Dove is a strong FMC who has been left betrayed and heartbroken by Vance (a surgeon/scientist) who after a night of passion upped and left. All will be revealed and Vance has to be honest in order to win back her heart and more importantly her trust, because Dove is his but she does not make it easy for him! Their chemistry is off the scales 🔥

Dove has her three brothers who will do anything to protect her and Angelo had me laughing in chapters of the book, he definitely is the rogue of the family! I think Chapter 28 had to be one of my favourites, some lines Elle has wrote are perfect 🤩

Their journey to HEA is not smooth but they do get there! As always with Elle’s books I couldn’t put this down and anyway isn’t sleep overrated 🤣

You won’t be disappointed, age gap is a favourite trope of mine and this was perfect.

If you are new to reading Elles books then you must read her others too, each and everyone is just brilliant!

Congratulations Elle on another fantastic addition to the collection - can’t wait to read the next one in the series ❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really loved this book. I was invested in these characters pretty much from the beginning, and by the end I had laughed, cried, gotten frustrated with them… basically went through it all.

I read a lot of romance, so sometimes when the back and forth starts I’m like, okayyy here we go again. But I didn’t really get that with this one. Even when I could kind of see where something might be going, I was invested enough in the characters that I wanted to see how they were going to get there. There were also enough twists and turns along the way to keep it interesting without feeling like too much.

I also really loved that her story wasn’t just about the romance. I also really loved some of the themes around being a woman and figuring out what you want for yourself, both personally and in your career. Especially that feeling that sometimes society makes women feel like we have to choose between the two. I thought it was really relatable and loved how it was worked into the story without it feeling forced.

It was also steamy, but tastefully steamy. The spice was there, but it didn’t become the whole book.

Overall, I just really enjoyed this one. I cared about the characters, I loved seeing their growth, and I never got to that point where I was ready for the story to just wrap it up already. Definitely one I’m glad I picked up.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Absolutely adored In Love and Betrayal! This one had me in my feels, and I don't regret a single second of it.

Dove and Vance took me on an entire journey! Their love story is filled with devastation, yet they still found their way back to each other.

Dove is determined, she's a force to be reckoned with in business and in life. I love that she knows what she wants, even through the pain and disappointment she's been through. Her growth to trust again is beautiful. 💛 Her family dynamic is amazing, and I love how she makes Vance go through hoops to get her back!

And Vance, this man is set in his ways. He's a bit older, an established surgeon, and when he meets Dove, there's not a question in his mind who and what he wants. I can't lie, he made me angry! BUT, in the end, I'm obsessed with his grit and groveling. He really pulls through for my girl Dove when she needs him.

When I say this one is emotional, be ready for a REAL tear jerker! 🥲 I love that Elle can weave a story together that is not only deep, but the banter is great, the spice is BANGIN, and everything keeps you immersed from start to finish.

This is an ARC review I am leaving voluntarily and all thoughts are my own.

I love Vance and Dove, and these two have my whole heart. Elle, these two made me cry more times than I can count, and as always, you write words that make me feel every.single.word.and.feeling.

But after one night where getting him to sign on the bottom line meant she would finally be partner, and they would start a life together, he leaves, with a single line on a piece of paper that saw her world stop. But, he never forgot her, in fact he wants to rekindle and prove he is worthy of her once again, but she is not about to forgive him. That night did not just change her, it broke her. But his life also changed, and the reason he comes back plays out and oh my god, the rollercoaster of emotions. But, Dove isn't the same, so Vance has his work cut out.

There was so so much that both of them could have done differently but neither of them can deny those feelings....and Vance takes redemption to a whole new level *swoon. Even when you think he's an arsehole, you see a whole other side. There story I could have kept reading, these two finding their way back to each other amongst messy hookups, family and what happened three years ago made for a book I could not put down. Elle, how are you such an amazing writer. This gets all the stars and more.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS ONE!! This was angsty and lovely and sexy and everything in between! Dove and Vance had me on the edge of my seat this entire ride.

Billionaire romance
Second chance romance
Workplace romance
He grovels HARD
Emotional and angsty

Three years ago, Dove and Vance were working together on a work deal and were minutes away from closing the deal when they acted on their feelings and had one amazingly hot night together. And when Dove woke up in the morning, Vance was gone, and both of their lives would change forever.

Now Vance is back and begging for a second chance. But in what world does this man, who left without a note or a conversation, deserve a second chance?

This book had me hooked from the very beginning. I love characters who know what they want and go for it. The second chance aspect of this was done SO WELL. The groveling was absolutely top tier. And the angst and emotional, my goodness!! I had tears in my eyes at certain parts that will forever live rent free in my head.

I absolutely loved this billionaire CEO romance! In Love and Betrayal delivered everything I want in a second-chance love story—heartbreak, betrayal, insane chemistry, and a man who knows exactly what he wants.

When he realizes she’s the one, he refuses to let their story end there. I loved watching him do everything in his power to win her back, even after everything they had been through. His possessiveness was very much the “I know what I want, and I’m going to fight for her” kind, and I was HERE for it.

The chemistry between these two was. Their banter was sexy, funny, and had me smiling, but what really made this story stand out was the emotional depth. Watching them navigate heartbreak, betrayal, and grief while finding their way back to each other was beautiful.

This was such a lovely reminder that sometimes love can survive even the hardest moments. A heartfelt, emotional billionaire romance with plenty of spice, tension, and a love worth fighting for.

In Love and Betrayal was exactly the kind of angsty, messy romance I love! I was completely invested in Vance and Dove’s story, especially with all the history, betrayal, and unresolved feelings between them. I loved that Dove had built a successful life for herself and wasn’t willing to simply forget everything that happened. The chemistry between these two was fire, and the second-chance aspect gave their relationship so much tension. Vance was definitely frustrating at times, but I couldn't deny the pull between them. I loved the emotional push and pull, the obsession, and all the drama that came with trying to figure out whether love could survive after so much betrayal. This was a steamy, emotional, angsty billionaire romance that kept me hooked, and I loved watching these two fight their way back to each other. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Wait till you meet Dove and Vance! Their story was an emotional rollercoaster that had me hooked and needing to know why he left her for 3 years and why was she in the hospital and what is she hiding. I had to find out what their story was and Elle did not disappoint.
Elle’s writing was amazing and the flipping of past and present chapters, so we can really understand what happened between them was genius. When you finally find out the reasons he left and you find out what happened to Dove after it’s heartbreaking but together these two rebuild even with some obstacles their love story is heartwarming.
I loved Vance and Dove - both characters were strong willed, loveable and likeable. Loved seeing our fave Fairfax brothers again too.
Thank you so much to Elle and the team at NetGalley for this eARC in exchange for my honest review

I have sat with my feelings on this one, as i have truly been emotionally wrung just like a wet towel and then hung out to dry, yeah that wrung, twisted and fixed back again. Dove and Vance have given us a story that is filled with angst and love and peak feelings and down right destroyed. Oh man tsunami this is. But in the end it's a HEA. But the darn journey is all over. This age gap , billionaire, second chance romance is working my mind even after I have put the book down.

Spent !!

The band of brothers to Dove's bff and new characters we meet and fall in love with even more , this book has it all. Just so amazing!

I went into this book expecting a cozy, romantic read with great erotic tension, but unfortunately, it fell completely flat for me. I was unable to finish it due to a lack of character depth and narrative tension. The main characters are predictable and the story relies heavily on same old romance without adding anything new. A womanizer who can't commit who as usual suddenly falls for a hesitant lead who constantly worries about becoming just another girl. The dialogue felt predictable, the pacing dragged and I couldn't feel any real chemistry or heat between the leads, making it difficult to stay invested.

I was honoured to read an advanced copy of this book. Truly, going through EVERY emotion is an understatement (literally every emotion). Finishes this in less than 24 hours. It’s addicting. The yearning and grovelling is next level. Dove and Vance are fantastic MCs. We love a down bad MMC. You are able to watch the growth and there are no loose ends which THANK GOD because this book is a roller coaster of stories and emotions! I like that we get cameos from the first book and get to see their story continue as well. I’m excited to see who comes next in the series!

Please read warning triggers!!!
Second chance
Age gap
Hurt and healing
Loss of family member
Loss of pregnancy

Dove and Vance are main characters of 2nd book of london elite.
Their love was from first sight! Insurance specialist and talented surgeon ( don’t forget scientist :).
There is a lot of spicy scenes and a lot of groveling.
They would save each other a lot of heartaches if they would just be honest and talk with each others.
please read this book and be prepared to take emotional journey through grieve, broken heart and love betrayal!!!!

This was my first book by Elle Nicoll so I was VERY skeptical reading a book where the MMC was named Vance. Too bad this booked ended up being the best ARC I’ve yet to read. I literally finished this in one sitting!

The perfect billionaire book. Very fast paced plot and while it’s higher on the spice scale (like an age gap romance should have) I genuinely didn’t mind it because there was so MUCH plot to even it out.
I loved the yearning and the back and forth felt very realistic until the couple got their HEA. Could not say enough good things.

The sheer tension between Vance and Dove was everything. The heartbreaking sting of the past mixed with their intense, unyielding connection. Every single interaction between them was charged with years of unspoken hurt, lingering passion, and a history that neither of them could truly escape. It felt like a battleground where both characters had everything to lose, making their journey toward healing and forgiveness feel incredibly earned.

🔥❤️😊 The emotional journey these two go on to reach their HEA! You will cry, you will laugh, you will swoon and blush.

Elle Nicoll has done it again; written a love story that hooked me from the start and had me rooting for Vance Fakcon's redemption and Dove Fairfax's career and personal success.

I love second chance romance. This book truly checked a lot of my boxes including a strong heroine, an alphahole billionaire, betrayal, and playing dirty to get the girl back. There are two warring timelines, 3 years ago and the present. I was happy to find a happily ever after for the couple and I'm now going back to read the first book of the series.

A much more emotional story than the first book, which for me compensated for the fact that I didn’t identify with the characters as much.
It was, nonetheless, a very gripping story that didn’t take me long at all to get into or to get through.
The animals part of the plot got me right in the feels and the characters’ grief as well 😭
I don’t know who will be the couple of the best book in the series, but I definitely want to read it!

At this point Elle can write my grocery list and I would love it. This book was emotional and had me invested from page one. You get the tension and banter between. These two and man does he get jealous and he grovels. If you love a man who grovels this book is for you.

Wow! What a wild ride that was. I went through all the emotions reading this book. I have never read anything from his author before and I truly enjoyed every twist and turn we were taken on between the fmc and mmc. Loooved how obsessed the mmc was too! Can't wait for her next book!
