After defeating their enemy, Cruz thought they had it all. Yet now that the dust has settled, he’s convinced that he’s too dark and damaged for a rare beauty like his Ri.
She thinks he’s wrong. To her, they have always fit as perfect as a bullet fits a pistol. She doesn’t want to save him, she wants to stand beside him and his Paradox brothers proving that their messy road to love was always inevitable.

Cruz will forever be my favorite kind of dangerous. What I loved most about this bonus story is that it slowed everything down after all the bloodshed, chaos and emotional wreckage. You finally get to see these men breathe or at least attempt to. Cause they had to let the choppas SING. The moment of reflection was needed because let's be honest grief was sitting in every room with them because Rev’s absence is STILL loud. You can feel how much he meant to Omega Theta Tau and Paradox in every conversation, every memory, every moment they move forward without him. Having everyone come together was heavy but a start to healing.
Cruz lemme hug you under all that dominance, violence and assassin energy is a man who genuinely questions if he deserves love. That hit me harder than expected. Santari never tries to fix him. She simply loves him as he is and reminds him he doesn’t have to carry everything alone. She reassures him with every kiss every touch that he's perfect for her.
Now don’t get me wrong, I love what San has with all the men but her connection with Cruz feels different. More raw. More instinctive. Like they naturally understand each other without needing a thousand words.
Hollis is still insane. Still hilarious. Still one of the best chaotic characters in this entire universe.
This short story felt like emotional aftercare for readers who got attached to the Paradox world. Soft moments, lingering grief, reassurance, healing and love still standing tall after surviving absolute hell.

This book was not a good read. I appreciated the action behind the guys being that they are contract killers but the details of the sex scenes were semi-textbook. I mean how many different ways can you be sexed by three men?… A little more creativity with the sex scenes would have helped this read.
Also… the story line of the relationship between the 3 men and Santari was not smooth… it was just sex.
Lastly… the last sex scene… her having two in her mouth at one time and the men liking her teeth on them was a reach.
It was a short read but I was expecting some type of lead on Rev’s death in the end too. Maybe in the 2nd book. Still a clue would have been enough to keep the reader engaged.
So at the end of the book… we still don’t know anything about who killed Rev and Santari’s mouth has seen more action than any other body part she has.
I do not regret reading this book but I don’t think this series, overall, is for me. I do plan to finish the entire series.
This short story provided a much needed update on a Cruz, Ri, Storm & Titan. Seeing the way Cruz and Ri’s relationship has unfolded had me reaching an old cold glass of water to cool off. Hawt like fire for sure. Catching up with the Crowne family in Chicago was priceless.
It's great hearing from this foursome. As much as I enjoy the action from them it's great seeing how Cruz and Santori are with just the two of them. I love the interaction, devotion and them taking care of business together. Can't wait to read the next two stories with Storm and Titan.
Santari speaking life into Cruz has to be one of the beautiful things to read. Creating the space for him to open up and share his feelings makes me all smile all the time. I love their bond! Not to take away from the other guys but it’s something special about Cruz!
Love a good update to see how my faves are progressing. Loving that Cruz is embracing the fact that his Ri is not afraid of his monsters, she welcomes them. I hope his vision does come true with the kids and a HEA.
I enjoyed this update on Cruz and Santari and seeing how their relationship is still flourishing. These two have each others back and and their chemistry is amazing. One thing about Cruz is that he never met a red light he felt the need to stop for lol.
This was a quick cute little story. I think I would’ve liked to see more interactions in Chicago. I honestly didn’t even know Cruz’s fetish was a thing so the more I read about it the more interesting it becomes for me.
Short, sweet update of Cruz and Santari, or should I say Cruz, Santari, Titan and Storm. I also enjoyed the brief update of Cruz’ Chicago family and seeing them in action. Santari definitely embraced the differences I each man. The book was well written, flowed well and quite interesting.
Cruz so damn nasty! And i love it!!!! I was so excited reading this seeing my favorite Crowne’s pop up. Hollis! My love!😍😍😍🤣 And Pharoah and Saint nd nem i guess. Lol but no this was so good, nice lil update while still tying in with the Crowne’s.
I understand Santari, and if I were her, I’d be in heaven too! Cruz is the ideal all by himself, but the 3 men are a dream…this was a perfect continuation of the story.
Cruz and San are very cute together. I like seeing Cruz in a different light and his ability to imagine his future was saying. I just felt as if this short story was too short or it didn't really add anything to their story.
