A heavily armed, fanatical survivalist militia known as the Iron Sons has seized the toll roads. Led by a ruthless preacher who views the blackout as a divine cleansing, they demand absolute obedience—or death. Worse, Elias Thorne hasn't stopped hunting his masterpiece. He has weaponized the starvation of the collapse, broadcasting a bounty that turns every desperate survivor on the road into a potential threat.
Outgunned, trapped, and running out of time, Hannah and Noah must orchestrate a devastating, explosive breakout. But as the smoke clears and the city limits approach, they are about to discover that the only thing more dangerous than the freezing wilderness is the sanctuary they are walking into.
Frozen Roads is the heart-pounding second book in The Long Black Winter series. If you crave relentless action, gritty post-apocalyptic survival, and characters pushed to their absolute limits, Cal Merritt’s latest thriller will keep you reading late into the night.
The second book adds to the tension and not stop action. Hannah is turning it to an absolute badass, Noah has the real world experience that I think compliments Hannah’s knowledge real well.
