In The Beautiful Simplicity of the Rapture, Dr. Paul Wilkinson restores clarity and joy to one of Scripture’s most hope-filled promises. With a pastor’s heart and a scholar’s precision, he invites readers to rediscover the profound simplicity of the truth that “the Lord Himself will descend from heaven” to receive His bride.
I was pretty hopeful to start this book and I did glean many things from it. Appreciated Wilkinson explaining Matthew 24, Daniel 9 and doing the math in years. His explanation of words and terms; Who is a saint? The difference between Day of the Lord and Day of Christ. The details of what was happening in the church of the Thessalonians. There is a section with a list of Rapture verses. And at the end he lists 7 things that won’t happen before the rapture. He’s encourages and exhorts believers throughout and gives the penal substitutionary atonement ‘version’ of gospel as an invitation at the end.
