Accidental Wrong Number: A Silver Fox Fake Fiancée Romance

Rate this book
Society cast her out. He brought her into his penthouse.
One wrong number. One stranger who answered and came to the hospital. But did he really not know her?
Blake Maddox. Fifty-four. Ex-Marine. Security CEO. Silver-haired, steel-eyed, and far too controlled for a man standing at a stranger's bedside.
I don't know how his number ended up on my emergency form. I don't know why he showed up, a man who heard a woman was hurt and didn't hesitate.
He told the nurses he was my fiancé. He chased from my door the family who humiliated me. Then he made me an offer.
A fake engagement. His name, his protection, his world. In return, I help him settle a debt he won't explain.
I should have said no. I should have walked away.
Instead, I moved into his penthouse. Let society believe I belonged to him.
The problem?
Blake Maddox doesn't pretend halfway.
When he touches me, it isn't strategy. When he kisses me, it isn't for show. And the man who built his life on control starts looking at me like I'm the one thing he never planned for.
He doesn't do feelings. He does discipline. Silence. Ten years of unfinished business.
But something is off.
The way he watches me. The way he won't answer certain questions. Like this was never just a deal.
And when everything falls apart, the secret I'm carrying might be the one thing he can't control… and the one thing that forces him to choose.

Expect a wrong number meet-cute, a commanding silver fox hero, fake engagement turned dangerously real, forced proximity, an age gap that burns, a grovel worth the wait, and a standalone romance with no cliffhanger and a satisfying HEA.

When she is told to give up the five percent in the Hale company she says no! Somehow after that she gets hurt and ends up in the hospital, her next of contract is called and Blake Maddox shows up at her bedside has her finance. She doesn't know him and he doesn't know her but to save face he comes with a plan, she needs to have a person stay with her and so she agrees to three days and a few other things one to be honest with each other. But Blake has secerts he has been hiding for ten years and the closer they grow together he puts off telling g her, until Victor tells her.Blake loses Sabrina because he wasn't honest and nothing he does brings her back and she wants space,he gives it to her but now while she is learning to be miss independent, she finds she has a secert from him. This story was beautiful, and mean, how dare a person say a women is inadequate, not able to carry a healthy child if one at all.But Blake waited and he soon got his wish and a little extra and Sabrina was very adequate!

Sabrina Ross was engaged to Preston Hale, but he was nothing more than a puppet, as his brother Victor dictated his every move. Victor told Preston to dump Sabrina and he did, then Victor tried to cancel Sabrina. Seeking solace in a new gym membership, Sabrina is forced to write an emergency contact number on the new member paperwork, and made one up, assuming it would never be needed. Unfortunately, she had an accident, ended up unconscious in the hospital, and the number was called. Blake Maddox received the call. He was a client of her former employer, and a sworn long-time enemy of Victor Hale. Regardless of not knowing Sabrina, Blake showed up for her and stayed, pretending to be her fiancé. Blake then took Sabrina in when she had to have supervision due to a concussion. In return for his help reinstating her back in society, she agreed to be his fiancé. Somewhere along the line, feelings became real.

Gosh, I loved this book! Accidental Wrong Number was an excellent, spicy, intense romance some good, some bad. There were secret motivations and agendas. Overall, I enjoyed this complicated suspense drama full of family drama, angst, tension, revenge, mistrust, betrayal, and redemption. This was a beautiful love story, and I recommend this book for fans of age gap, steamy, workplace and family drama, romance stories.

There were parts I really liked and others I did not in this book.
I found the first chapter infuriating and it made me want to keep reading, hoping for a revenge story that ends in romance and HEA. The story is full of emotions and I enjoyed the descriptions of the emotions for both main characters but did not love either of them. I liked the friend Linda though, and the mystery around Clara.
However, I found the story narrative got quite repetitive at times which was not even necessary for emphasis as you should remember the vibes if you are following the story. The book turned into a 3-star for me with the pregnancy, proposal and that's how we get our HEA plot (which I imagine most of us saw coming from chapter 1). Surely this is no longer what most women want any more, and it does not have to be that HEA every. single. time. I'd like to see alternative HEAs in romance books. It is time.

I loved that this story was different and original. From the beginning of this story where Sabrina is called to a meeting where her future brother-in-law tells her it's over and she will not be getting married. Her life seems to fall apart. One accident later and her life changes. Blake is a stranger that comes to her rescue however he maybe more than what he seems. What I love most about this story is I could relate to the characters, and the authors writing has me connecting to the story. I enjoyed from start to finish. A man grieving with a hidden agenda and a woman who has lost it all. Together they may find that what starts as false soon turns to real when feelings grow.

This is a slow burn, may not happen romance. Sabrina is a lawyer who is engaged to the younger brother of an industrial giant but is told she isn't good enough and the engagement is off. While at a gym she falls on a treadmill and wakes up in hospital with Blake telling the staff they are engaged. Blake answers a call from the gym saying she is in hospital and discovers she put his phone number down as her emergency contact in error. This kicks off their HEA which is rocky right the way to the end. This will keep you engaged the entire time.

Great story!

Blake is CEO and he has a cold heart. He listens to his sister and is blaming Victoria. For ten long years he has been working on his revenge. Sabrina works for Victoria. Victors brother, Preston was to marry Sabrina, but it was stopped by Victor. She is running on a treadmill and gets dizzy, falls and is rushed to the hospital. She put a fake number on her application when she joined the gym. It happened to be Blake Maddox’s number. Read this book to find out the ins and outs of people who need other people in their lives.

The story of Attorney Sabrina outcast from the high society life she had with her fiancee Preston just days before their wedding. In a downward spiral following this.. an accident and a wrong number brings Blake into her life. The two form a partnership & eventually a relationship. But not all as it seems to Sabrina and both will pay the price until Blake comes to terms with his past. And both have to decide if they belong to together. Sabrina is a strong female lead who matches Blake as a strong male lead. I enjoyed the book.

Accidental Wrong Number by Carli Brent
I really liked this story. It starts when Sabrina is to marry Preston Hale, when his brother calls her into Hale Industries four days before the wedding. Victor is cancelling the wedding because she is getting too old to have children, and he wants the five percent of Hale Industries' stock. This story is interesting and hard to put down. I highly recommend this book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book will have you riveted to the pages, and will linger with you long after you are done. I felt for everything Sabrina had to endure, though she did it all with determination and strength. It was awesome seeing the walls come down around Blake. I loved the complex scenes, all the drama, surprises, gripping details and so much more.

Sabrina's life has fallen apart thanks to her fiancé's older brother who called off their wedding. Devastated and alone leads to an unexpected accident and a wrong emergency number that connects Sabrina and Blake who also has issues with her now ex fiancé's family. A proposition is made and their path begins in this captivating story that kept me glued to the pages and all caught up in Blake and Sabrina.

From the very first chapter, I was already boiling with anger over how Sabrina’s fiancé and her brother treated her.
Honestly, I’m actually more curious about Sabrina and Blake’s plan for revenge against the Hale brothers rather than how their relationship will develop.
I really love a strong female lead like Sabrina and a male lead who’s decisive and doesn’t beat around the bush, like Blake.

Wow

A number written down just to have one. That number called because of an emergency! Two strangers who meet in a hospital room for the first time. Fate or Devine intervention? Loved the characters the story pulls you in right away and doesn't let go til the end. I highly recommend!!!

Accidental Wrong Number: A Silver Cox Fake Fiancée Romance

A great new twist on a great romance. Emotions galore with walls built around a heart that broke with the death of a sister then planning revenge for ten years. The romance with steam and stubbornness takes a while to get it right.
I really enjoyed this story written by Carli Brent.

twist in the tail

This book has a good story line but tends to get a bit lost in the middle. I liked the story but it all seams to hinge on an emergency phone number and a stranger who turns up at the hospital. Does he really not know her or is there more to the story?

Thank you Author! Finally, a story with a strong, intelligent, and emotionally mature FMC. The MMC was somewhat frustrating but redeemed himself. This is a new author for me and I'm anxious to read more. Writing was sound and kept me interested throughout.
