Runs With Horses By Brian Burks. Runs with Horses at the age 16 is trying to avoid the army as they try to take over territory. He is a group member of one of the last Apache Indian groups. His father Red Knife makes his son faces deadly challenges as he has to do raids and fight his friends. The first few things of his challenge is they put hot burning coals on his hands. His dad lost his rifle because he was drunk with his friends because Runs with Horses feel of a horse as the horse came to a sudden stop. I rate this book four stars because I liked how it was historically accurate and it told you the point of view of Runs with Horses. It also told you how it was back then in the USA back in 1886 when the Spanish and the American army came to take over land but the Indians where in the way of the Army taking over land that the Indians owned. The book also told you some survival tricks but not very many. In the beginning of the book Runs With Horses has to run from the bottom of a step hill no stopping and run all the way back to camp. I would highly recommend this book to another friend or family member because there's a lot of imagery which I like to read in books.

Runs With Horse

I liked this book because it is very entertaining but also historically accurate.
The main setting is an Apache camp in northern Mexico.
The main characters are Runs With Horses, Red Knife, Little Face, And Geronimo.
The main conflict is that Runs With Horses is trying to become a warrior.
Another conflict is that the Apache's are getting forced into reservations.
I would recommend this book to people who are interested in U.S. history.
I would recommend it to those people because the book is historically accurate.

It was a good book to read. It was about warriors. at the end of the book the Apaches had to go to a reservation.
