A mother's fight to clear her name and seek justice for her murdered son. 'I couldn't grieve for him. I couldn't speak to any of my family. It was like I'd been found guilty before I could be proved innocent.'
Losing a child is any mother's worst nightmare, but how do you grieve when you're being blamed for his death? When Sarah Rose discovered her 15-month-old son Kamran had been brutally murdered, she was immediately put under arrest. The days she spent in jail were terrifying and harrowing, but it was when she heard the results of the post-mortem that the truth hit her boyfriend, Nicholas, the man she's loved and trusted, had beaten her little boy to death. Heartbroken, isolated and alone, she knew she'd have to fight to prove her innocence and put Nicholas behind bars. Tragic, moving, yet ultimately uplifting, this is story of a mother's love and her battle for the truth.
Wow!!! I cannot believe that Sarah never saw the bruises on Kamran's body! Did she never have to change a diaper? Even if he was somehow potty-trained at 15 months, she never took him to the bathroom not even once?! I think she knew. Reading about a Justice System outside the US was interesting. The prosecutor verbally attacked Sarah while she was on the stand & her attorney never objected.
This book literally got to me so much and made me feel sad, angry and sent shivers down my spine. As a mum myself I can't imagine how painful it must have been to go through something so traumatic and lose her beautiful little boy all because of a monster who lost her trust in the worse way possible. Then to be blamed on top of it is just something else. Losing her boy in such horrible circumstances as she mentioned will always be something she deals with and my heart goes out to her one hundred percent. A amazing brave lady and a very truthful memoir of a very tragic event.
Poor baby. I hope he's in a good place now 💙💙💙 All the adults in his life failed him. Specifically his father, Nabeel, who had no problem spreading his genes everywhere despite having no backbone to take responsibility for his own child. Since he's religious I hope his god will punish him eternally. May the murderer also go to the depths of hell. And I'm sure it was hard for the mom. But she was really irresponsible leaving her babies with a man she barely knew for 2 months to go to work. If she had no other option at all then that's something I can try to understand, but her family was more than willing to take care of the kids from what she wrote, and she still decided to move out of her mom's place when her mom was telling her not to do so and let some random man babysit her kids which is a hard thing to understand. Cannot also believe how she had never seen signs of physical abuse either before the murder. All the adults failed the baby Kamran without a doubt. Hope he will have good, responsible and lovely people to take care of him in whatever world he's in now. 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
I cried so much reading this story a mother's fight to clear her name while going through the pain of losing a childish a story for everyone who has lost a child it will help you cope with every day well done and she needs to stop blaming herself
What an incredible story i cried all the way through for her and her family the fact she never got to see him or hug him after the event is so sad her struggle with life after the event such a hard read but so worth it
Omg this poor lady and her family , this was shocking and heartbreaking ,
I can't believe this poor lady got sent to prison for something she hadn't a clue had happened to her child ,it's disgusting that the authorities put her through so much heartbreak,
Talk about self pity - endless accounts of how much she cried and sobbed etc. No morals and no compunction about leaving her kid with a man she ad been warned about. She had no idea about the bruising? Never bathed or changed his nappy then? I only hope she didn’t make much money from this book.
Once I started reading this book i couldn't put it down. How do you cope with losing your baby at the hands of a monster who you loved with all your heart. You're an incredible person Sarah Rose, my heart goes out to you.
This book had me gripped from the beginning, it made me sad reading it, brought tears to my eyes, definitely recommend this book to everyone to open their eyes and to be realistic on what can happen and be oblivious to what actually happens.
This was heartbreaking for you you baby killed you being blamed. Its not your fault you thought your son was safe my heart goes out to you glad you found happiness and also got justice 5 stars.
Another heartbreaking read about another child helpless in the hands of an adult :( Glad the justice system prevailed this time. Too many babies go unheard
A real sad story but there are some buts - has the mother really never seen the child's bruises? Or were the doctors at that hospital so blind not to have recognized some kind of child abuse???
Utterly heartbreaking, what a strong, brave lady. Not only what she went through, but also for writing her story for the world to see. Takes some courage! Recommend to anyone to read!!
