I did not have high expectations going into this book, but it turned out to be better than I expected. I liked the main character. She was different and I liked how the author explored and went into that personality/lifestyle of being happily noncommittal for most of her life. The mystery side of the story was wanting. The way it all tied together was quick and unsatisfying. The ending with the main character's internal struggle was also unsatisfying and a little confusing to me. Overall, this book was ok. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either.

it held a lot of suspense. it was interesting except for the narrator reassuring herself that its ok to die alone, its ok not to have a family etc almost on every page.
