I've spent my whole life being told I'm too big. Too much. Not the right shape.
When billionaire Sebastian Drake bids $500,000 for one date with me at a charity auction, I assume it's a joke. A tax write-off. Pity.
Then he raises it to a million dollars.
"I didn't buy a date," he says, backing me against the wall of his penthouse. "I bought you."
His hands span my entire waist. His mouth worships the curves I've always hidden. His knot locks us together for three days of heat while he tells me I'm perfect—over and over until I almost start to believe it.
But when the heat breaks, reality crashes back. Men like Sebastian Drake don't keep women like me. This was biology. A novelty. When it wears off, he'll find someone in his league.
Except he doesn't disappear. He commissions a two-million-dollar portrait—eight feet of me, rendered in oil, hanging in his bedroom like a masterpiece.
"You're not too much," he says, carrying me out of his own gallery. "You're exactly enough. And you're mine."
A curvy heroine who discovers she's priceless, and a billionaire Alpha who'll spend every dollar he has to prove it.
He paid to claim her, but keeping her means changing what she believes about herself.
Rosa walks into a charity auction expecting to be overlooked, already braced for the kind of humiliation that follows women who never fit the mold. Then Sebastian, a billionaire Alpha with a possessive streak and zero hesitation, turns the room inside out with one impossible bid and fixes his attention on her like letting go was never an option. From that moment on, the story leans into the intimacy of being singled out by a man who wants to redefine how she sees her own body, her value, and her place beside him.
Their connection burns hot from the start, but what makes it dangerous isn’t just the intensity. Sebastian wants every part of Rosa she’s been taught to doubt, and Rosa can’t tell if that kind of hunger can survive outside the rush of instinct, desire, and the power he holds so easily. Once the heat fades, what’s left is the harder emotional fallout: her fear of being temporary, and his refusal to let her reduce what exists between them to chemistry alone.
As the story unfolds, Rosa shifts from self-erasure and quiet shame toward believing she can be wanted openly, chosen fully, and loved without making herself smaller. Sebastian starts from obsession and control, but what matters most is that he keeps showing up with the same certainty until their bond begins to feel less like reckless possession and more like devotion with real weight behind it.
This is a dark, ultra-steamy, age gap, billionaire, omegaverse romance where public claiming, body worship, and obsessive devotion force a curvy woman to confront everything she’s been told about her worth. It’s about being seen, being chosen, and learning that love, desire, and permanence don’t belong only to other women.
The Elevator Pitch: A curvy young omega walks into a charity auction expecting to be overlooked, only to become the sole focus of a billionaire Alpha whose desire feels less like interest and more like a reckoning. As heat, obsession, and class divide pull them into an intense bond, she’s forced to confront everything she’s been taught to believe about her body, her value, and what kind of love she’s allowed to claim. What begins as raw possession sharpens into something far more dangerous: the possibility of being chosen completely, and having to decide whether she can bear to believe it.
I really appreciated the message at the heart of this story. It hits on something that’s still far too real. So many people are made to feel like they don’t fit society’s narrow mold, and unless you’ve lived that experience, it’s hard to grasp just how much courage it takes to push back against it. That’s what makes Rosa’s decision to participate in the charity auction so powerful. She’s not just stepping up; she’s putting herself out there in the most vulnerable way possible. And then… nothing. No bids. That moment stings, until Sebastian Drake swoops in with a jaw-dropping million dollars for a date with Rosa. Of course, it quickly becomes clear he’s not really interested in the “date” itself. Sebastian is refreshingly direct about what he wants, but Rosa can’t quite reconcile his attention with the way she sees herself. To her, a man like him couldn’t possibly desire a woman like her. To Sebastian, though, she’s the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen—full stop. What follows is an intense, emotionally charged (and yes, very steamy) few days when Rosa goes into heat. A pivotal element that heightens both her vulnerability and desire. Sebastian steps in to care for her, using the time to show her exactly how he sees her: wanted, cherished, and undeniably beautiful. He almost gets through to her, but years of self-doubt don’t disappear overnight. Watching that internal struggle play out adds a lot of depth to the romance and raises a compelling question: how do you convince someone they’re enough when they’ve spent their whole life believing they’re not? Sebastian gives Rosa time, but there must be some way to convince her, right? Sebastian’s answer is… memorable, to say the least (though perhaps not something I would want hanging in my bedroom). Unlike Victor who “bought” Chloe in exchange for clearing her father’s debts (Book 4), giving Chloe little choice, Sebastian’s “payment” is framed as a donation for a community center and so doesn’t have the same dark undertones. Although the book is not without its flaws like some noticeable repetition throughout, and a few continuity hiccups (seriously, how did that portrait magically make it from the gallery to their bedroom before they did?), these are minor bumps in what is ultimately an engaging, emotionally resonant read with a genuinely uplifting message. If you’ve ever felt like you were “too much” or not enough all at the same time, The Alpha Who Owns Me by Piper Kane hits that emotional nerve in a way that’s both steamy and surprisingly heartfelt.
Rosa has spent her entire life believing she doesn’t fit.
Too curvy. Too noticeable. Too easy to overlook when it comes to being chosen—not just wanted for a moment, but kept. So when billionaire Sebastian Drake bids an outrageous amount at a charity auction just to spend time with her, she assumes it’s a joke… or worse, pity.
Then he doubles it.
And suddenly, she’s standing in a world that feels completely out of her league—with a man who looks at her like she’s the only thing that matters.
Sebastian is intense, powerful, and completely unapologetic about what he wants. But what makes him stand out isn’t just the alpha energy—it’s the way he sees Rosa. Not as someone to fix or change, but as someone already worthy.
And for Rosa, that’s the hardest thing to believe.
What really makes this story land is her internal struggle. Even as Sebastian shows her—through his words, his actions, and even something as grand as commissioning a massive portrait of her—that she is beautiful and valuable, she still wrestles with years of insecurity.
Because sometimes the hardest thing isn’t being wanted.
It’s believing you deserve to be.
Sebastian doesn’t just tell her she’s enough—he proves it, over and over again, in ways that go beyond the surface. And watching Rosa slowly begin to accept that? That’s where the emotional payoff really shines.
If you love: ✨ Curvy heroine learning her worth ✨ Billionaire alpha who is all-in ✨ “You were always enough” energy ✨ High-heat romance with emotional depth ✨ Grand gestures that actually mean something
Then this is definitely one to add to your list.
💖 Bold, passionate, and deeply affirming—this story is a reminder that sometimes the person who sees your worth first… is exactly the one who helps you finally see it too.

This was a great read and one of my favorite from this author. I've been enjoying the consistent writing, the entertaining stories and the connections between our leads. There is a large amount of heat between our pairing despite the short length of this book and the insecurities this h is endearing.
She thought she was less. She was worth to him infinitely more.
What a guy. A match to this strong woman who somehow feels less because of a preconceived, unfair idea that she should be the norm. A skinny person and someone to be ashamed of her figure. You do not have to be a stick in order to be considered healthy and healthy does in fact come in different shapes. The auction broke my heart and I felt for her. What followed was unreal and fantastic. A real man to match her and to see what everyone did should- a woman of value. I enjoyed their ups and downs and appreciated and enjoyed this read very much.

Book 6 of the Primal Alphas series. Can be read as a standalone.
'A curvy heroine who discovers she's priceless, and a billionaire Alpha who'll spend every dollar he has to prove it.'
The characters were very appealing and likeable and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was excellent and solidly drawn. All in all a great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend.

This was a nice novella with the theme being heavy on body positivity. The MMC was great in trying to get the FMC to see what he saw and thats always a great message. Issue I had was that it was very repetitive. The same things were being said and repeated and the FMC was always saying his name at every scene. Just very repetitive and feel that other lines could have been used.

Book 6 of Primal Alphas series, this is about Rosa and Sebastian. I thought this was cute. She was always told she was too much, and he proved she was just right. He didn’t just tell her but let her see herself the way he sees her.

Rosa thinks shes too big, too overwhelming- too everything, until Sebastian tries to prove her wrong! His love is too much and scares her off but he won't give her up that easily!
A beautifully written short story with great characters and a HEA.

I was initially drawn to it because of the novel’s cover. The first few chapters were really engaging, but as the story progressed, there were some repetitive scenes and phrases. I wish the epilogue had also mentioned that they eventually had a child.

Rosa is a character written perfectly for a mindset so many women carry. I love this story because Rosa is brave and although she has no reason to doubt Sebastian, learned behavior and society has taught her not to trust her worth. And then dotingly, he changes all of that. This is an excellent read.

Sebastian has just purchased a date with Rose, for a charity. He fell for her at first sight she is what he was looking for. Rose is an omega that goes into heat and Sebastian is there to show her that she means everything to him. It’s just a matter of her believing him.

This series just keeps getting better. The characters are well-developed, and the storyline is engaging, making it a must-read for fans of the genre. I particularly enjoyed the dynamic between the main characters and the way the author handles the omegaverse themes.
Sebastian is an alpha and Rosa is the woman who never felt good enough. Sebastian makes her see she is perfect the way she is. I love that he helped boost her self confidence just by loving her for her. Great message and great story.
I really enjoyed reading this story. I loved the characters so much. They pulled me in right from the start. I couldn't put it down. Y'all are gonna love it too. Happy reading.
I liked how he kept making sure she knew she was beautiful. He took care of her the way an Alpha should. She did give in really quickly on earth they got to his place - when it was to just be a date. But the Omega series is not your normal male female relationship. This was a nice short read. I will say it was not as good as previous books. There is a lot of repeated scenes with them going over the same lines more than once.
