This was so fun to write! Smut and fluff and happy vibes <3 And Raduna being bad for the first time in his life 👀 Also, have you seen the art of Khay?! He's such a charming menace :D
Also, I must accept I have a thing for cantankerous old ladies. They are the best!

Five hearts, one throne, and a future built from fire.

Caliane knows peace doesn’t mean easy. Now she’s queen, wife, mother, and the center of a family held together by devotion, sharp humor, caregiving, and desire that never stays quiet. With two children already underfoot and the kingdoms needing heirs, she makes a choice that could shift everything: it’s time to try for another baby.

But choosing a future means facing the wounds that still shape the people she loves. Magnar carries the weight of rule with steady hands and learns again that loving Caliane means trusting her choices, not shielding her from every risk. Khay knows when to tease, when to touch, and when to pull her back into herself before duty swallows her whole. Raduna worships her with restraint until she asks him to trust her strength, while Arvi has to believe wanting a child doesn’t mean repeating the damage he came from.

Around them, chaos keeps cutting through the intensity: children with dangerous curiosity, a missing family relic, political pressure, grief, and Idrina being exactly as impossible as ever. Yet every small crisis reveals the same truth. This family doesn’t work because it’s simple. It works because they keep choosing honesty, repair, high heat, hard conversations, and each other.

A darkly tender, erotic, high heat, why choose fantasy romance filled with domestic chaos, breeding kink, power exchange, primal trust, shared caregiving, and chosen family devotion. It explores intimacy, trauma, healing, motherhood, identity, desire, loyalty, and the emotional work of loving someone without trying to make them simpler. It’s about a queen learning she can want, rule, ache, and be held all at once, four men learning that protection means trust as much as control, and a family built from love, hard conversations, and tenderness that knows exactly where the scars are.

The Elevator Pitch: A queen with two children, four devoted men, and a kingdom full of unfinished wounds decides the future can’t wait forever. As desire, duty, old trauma, and a quiet domestic mystery press against the fragile peace they’ve built, every bond in her chosen family is tested in the most intimate ways. This is a darkly tender fantasy romance about power, trust, healing, and the fierce work of being loved without being made simple.

Heat Level: 🖤🔥 Erotica / Kink-Forward

Novella with more of the same -a bunch of cozy scenes intermixed with smutty interactions. Probably wasn’t really necessary but the fans of Prize for the King might be happy with it.

It felt so good to be back with Caliane and her king and knights. The spice was deliciously killer as usual and the emotional moments between the characters were endearing. Caliane is a fierce woman and her males are everything. Feisty Idrina, consent and pushing limits safely, biiiiig Agnidari appendages, new kink explorations, and thoughtful communication to bring them closer. I loved it all!

This novella feels like slipping back into absolute chaos, love, spice, and domestic madness with characters I was NOT ready to say goodbye to 👀🖤🔥

Poly romance?
Domestic royal chaos?
A “who’s fathering the next royal baby?” plotline??

Yeah… this was SO much fun.

What I loved most about this novella is that it doesn’t try to force massive drama just for the sake of it. Instead, it gives readers exactly what you want after finishing a beloved romance—more time with the characters, more relationship dynamics, and more glimpses into what happily-ever-after actually looks like for them.

And honestly??
I ate up every second of it 😂🖤

Caliane continues to be SUCH a strong presence at the center of everything. Confident, chaotic, emotionally grounded, and fully capable of managing four very different men while somehow still keeping the kingdom functioning.

And the relationship dynamics between all of them remain SO entertaining.

Every interaction feels lived-in and intimate in that way where you can tell these characters genuinely know each other deeply by this point.

Arvi especially had me smiling constantly 👀🔥😂

And honestly??
The balance between humor, spice, affection, and emotional comfort worked perfectly for this kind of follow-up novella.

It feels cozy without losing the chemistry or tension that made the original relationship dynamics so addictive in the first place.

I also loved the little mystery elements woven throughout the story because they added just enough intrigue without taking away from the domestic slice-of-life atmosphere.

The entire novella basically feels like:
“what happens AFTER the kingdom is saved and everyone’s still horny, chaotic, and emotionally attached?” 😂🖤

✨ If you love:
• poly/reverse harem romance
• domestic fantasy chaos
• spicy royal romance
• established relationship dynamics
• cozy follow-up novellas with emotional payoff

This one is funny, spicy, comforting, and such a satisfying return to these characters 🖤🔥.

Reading this novella felt like visiting a family I somehow belong to. I missed them so much.
Seeing Caliane, Magnar, Khay, Arvi, and Raduna again, and getting to witness their happily ever after with their children, was everything I didn’t know I needed.
There’s something so comforting about returning to characters that once meant so much to you and realizing they still feel like home.
And the reveal in the afterword? I’m SO excited.
I genuinely cannot wait for another book in this universe.

🇵🇹
E a novidade no afterword? Deixou-me SUPER entusiasmada.
Mal posso esperar por mais um livro neste universo.

Prize for the Tyrant King remains one of my all-time favorite reads, so revisiting these characters felt like catching up with old friends.
This epilogue novella is a quick, light, and heartwarming peek into the married life of Caliane, Magnar, and her three knights — Khey, Arvi, and Raduna. We get to see them navigating court life, raising their two children (with Caliane eager for more), and continuing to support one another through lingering trauma. The reverse harem is still going strong, and it’s beautiful watching their love and bond deepen.
Khey and Magnar will always be top-tier book boyfriends for me — chef’s kiss — though I adore all the men in this world. The characters stay true to themselves while showing meaningful growth and happiness.
Highly recommended after reading A Prize for the Tyrant King first for the full emotional impact, though it can technically be read alone. A perfect, satisfying wrap-up to a beloved story.

I was ecstatic when I saw this novella by Layla Fae. I absolutely loved the original book, Prize for the King! It's my absolute favorite book of Layla's.
This novella brought back all the fabulous memories and characters of the original. Plus some new little characters that were adorable.
It was really great re-visiting my old friends from Prize for the King. I couldn't put this novella down. The sexy scenes were so incredibly hot and brought back memories of Prize for the King.
FMC and her amazing men were so much fun to read about. Seeing what they were getting up too after several years. And you'll be happy to know they're all happily together and living life to its fullest. The only problem is there's never enough of Caliane to go around.

This short story is quintuple POV, well written, and a super steamy and kinky, reverse harem, erotic fantasy romance epilogue/slice of life between Caliane, the female human queen lead, Magnar, the male monster king lead, and his knights, Khay, Arvi, Raduna, the other monster male leads. I ADORE these slices of life because I like seeing the characters happy, enjoying life, and building their relationships deeper, and this is a fantastic example. I adored the support that the males provided for Caliane. I thoroughly enjoyed the steamy/spicy intimate scenes. I enjoyed how happy the characters were, even as they still had hard work and difficult situations to deal with. Absolutely beautiful.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

If I’ve read a good story I always want an epilogue. No matter how the main story ends, especially in a story with excellent characters such as these, i’m always curious as to what happens next. Do they age gracefully, do they have children, do they end up killing each other….

This novella length epilogue ticks all the boxes for me. The author was correct to say there’s not much of a plot but plenty of spice, but for these particular characters that’s a perfect continuation to their story. A hot and spicy read which fits perfectly with the main story 🐈‍⬛.

Since this is essentially an extension of Prize for the King, I'm extending the 4 star review to it as well. Same characters we know and love. This had artwork of each of the guys...and Khay's had me laughing, because of course. Although Arvi's made laugh as well...cuz...omg dude. Gotta love the absurdity of "monster" fiction. Does this count as monster? They're like giant elves... with cudgels 🤣🤣

No commentary because there wasn't much. Idrina is a stitch, like always. We get to meet a couple of the kids. Author pretty much said she's putting these characters to bed. But maybe we can coax more 'slice of life' out of her? 😉

I adored the original book and was so damn excited to see there was going to be a novella with domestic spice for this wonderful family!

And it didn't disappoint! The spice was heavy but delicious only 100 pages but exactly what I needed to satiate my need to be back in this world to check on these sweet babies and their lives after the ending of the book!

Caliane has matured into the queen she was meant to be, and while her and her men are fighting still for their traumatic past, they live everyday for each other and working through recovery with those they love with their support.

And their kiddos are just Hella cute 😍

I always want to find out what happens people when their story finishes, especially when the book(s)were so good. This extended epilogue is a lovely read.
Caliane is busy living her new life, with no chances for a break as she is so busy, but her men keep interrupting her day. I like how Khay and Raduna are cheeky and say that they are interrupting her is for her own good. Magnar is more supporting and sees the bigger picture, but is just as sweet as the rest of her men except for Arvi. He is the gentle giant, who is caring and thoughtful. Those scenes, though steamy are also lovely to read.
This is a great read to see what happens after the curtains fall.

Follow up fun

Does Layla Fae ever disappoint? Don't answer that—it’s a rhetorical question, because the answer is a resounding no.

I absolutely loved this little novella. It was the perfect follow-up, giving readers a glimpse into where our favourite characters are now while also introducing some exciting new additions to the cast. It felt like catching up with old friends and left me wanting even more.

I sincerely hope Layla continues to revisit these characters and lets us come along for the ride. I would happily return to this world again and again.

This version maintains your conversational tone while making the review read a little more smoothly.

Story 4 ⭐
Spice 5 🌶️

Spicily Ever After is a very sweet, cozy, low stakes, extended epilogue of Prize for the King. The short mystery part felt like it was missing something, but it was still an enjoyable cozy read overall. It was a great way to catch up with the characters from Prize for the King. The artwork included is amazing as always. I love it when authors include character art within the books.

So cute. I loved this look into the future.

Prize for the tyrant king is in my top list of favorite reads. So getting to go back and visit these characters felt like seeing old friends.

I loved that the characters were still "them" but with growth and the happiness that comes from love and work.

Khey and Magnar will always be top tier, book boyfriends. I love all the men but those two *chefs kiss*

You have to read Prize first, it will make this so much more enjoyable....but I guess technically you could read it by itself. But you'd be missing out.

Spicily Ever After was certainly spicy and so good! I loved getting to read about the five characters lives in the future and their deepening relationships. Caliane has a lot to balance, and I don't think I'd get anything done if I were her, lol! This sequel really gave me a better feel and understanding of the characters, especially the knights. I especially loved that Arvi could now not faint during special times, haha! There is a sweet mystery that runs through the story and keeps it moving too.

I finished this at WORK… yes, AT WORK, and I am buzzing!
Domestic, spicy, and ridiculously cute—everything I was hoping for. Loved the characters in book 1, and this sequel delivered even more swoons and laughs. Absolutely no disappointment here—just pure, delicious reading bliss.

The story hits all the right notes, balancing heartwarming domestic moments with a fun, steamy edge. I laughed, swooned, and felt completely invested in these characters. If you loved book 1, this is an absolute must-read.

First, I am a huge fan of Layla Fae! So when this book popped up, I grabbed it. It is a large epilogue to Prize For The King. So we find out how Caliane, Magnar, Khay, Arvi, and Raduna are doing and the situations they face in their daily lives. But be ready for lots and lots of spice and five people who are so happy together. I love the pictures that are included in this book! They add so much and are beautifully done. Fantastic book with a continuing happy ending.

When Layla Fae writes: I read it

It was fun to revisit these characters and see how they’re doing. A short romp through their world and how their relationships are evolving and coalescing. Also good to see that healing is a work in progress and its balm is love. I really appreciate that Layla Fae doesn’t reduce this theme into simplistic solutions, but is able to weave spice, love and profound human understanding through her characters. All the while, giving the reader both spice, humor and heartfelt transformation.

This novella felt like such a treat from Layla, and I absolutely loved it!

It was wonderful to return to Caliane, Magnar, Khay, Arvi, and Raduna—their dynamic is still just as charming as ever, and their children added such a sweet and heartwarming touch. I didn’t realize how much I had missed them until now.

Getting to spend more time in their world again was truly special. Thank you, Layla, for this lovely revisit!

"Each day is happier than the last, and I wouldn’t have it any other way."

This short novella is a slice of Caliane's Happily ever after.
A very steamy HEA!!!
Caliane now is queen and mother and has no free time, but her mates make her take a break here and there.Very hot and sweaty breaks.
This is a perfect complement to Prize for the king, not really big on plot,it's sweet, loving and super spicy.

I think you can read and enjoy this little spicy novella as a stand alone. However, and that's an all caps however, if you read "A Prize for the King" this spicy little novella adds icing on the cupcakes of all the relationships. There's a little mystery and a look at the maturing evolving relationship dynamics we enjoyed in the first book.

Spicily Ever After by Layla Fae continues the story of human queen Caliene, her husband King Magnus and knights Arvi, Raduna, and Khay, that are part of the family dynamic. She has children by various ones and is ready for more, hoping to have at least one per partner so each child can reign over the five kingdoms. The spice level is high!.

This little family reunion was absolutely amazing!!

How I missed these guys 🤍

Caliane strong as ever, Magnar and the Knights are lovely as always!

I laughed to much with Idrina 😂 I have a secret passion for old grumpy characters.

And of course, the owner of my heart, Arvi, funny as ever...THEY FINALLY DID IT!!! I almost clapped!

And the little surprise announcement at the end??? HHHHHAAAAAAA!!!!!

Is it June 2027 already???

Who doesn’t love a follow up book to a story you absolutely loved! 🥰

Caliane, King Magnus and her Knights make such a happy story here. This goes into her children she has with them and wanting to make more so she has a ruler for each kingdom. Each of her knights have such a backstory and Arvi’s really comes into play in this book. If you’re looking for a spicy, happy ever after read, you need this book but definitely read Prize For The King first.

This book truly lived up to its title! I found it to be a very enjoyable read that balanced a compelling narrative with plenty of heat. The chemistry between the characters was palpable, and the execution of the "spicy" scenes felt both natural to the story and incredibly engaging. If you are looking for a novella that delivers on its promises and keeps you hooked from start to finish, this is definitely one to pick up.
