This is an extended bonus epilogue to Prize for the King, that is, Caliane’s, Magnar’s, Khay’s, Arvi’s, and Raduna’s Spicily Ever After.“Do you want to have a baby with me?”
Now a mother of two, Caliane decides it’s time to get to work making the third heir. But which of her four men will be the father—her husband, the king, or one of their knights? Also, how’s well-endowed Arvi faring in the bedchamber? Is Magnar planning another war? And why is Idrina, Caliane’s cantankerous mother-in-law, so under the weather?
This is a spicy, domestic slice of life with a hint of cozy mystery and all the good feels—for all those who miss Prize of the King characters and world.

This was so fun to write! Smut and fluff and happy vibes <3 And Raduna being bad for the first time in his life 👀 Also, have you seen the art of Khay?! He's such a charming menace :D Also, I must accept I have a thing for cantankerous old ladies. They are the best!
We step back into their world, after Prize for the King, like no time has passed (for us…), and immediately it feels familiar in the best way possible. These are characters we already loved—deeply—and somehow, that affection only grows stronger seeing them settled into this life together.
There’s something quietly special about watching them simply be: a kingdom running in the background, a home full of movement and laughter, and at the center of it all, a love that feels steady and lived-in. Domestic bliss, yes—but one shaped by history, trust, and a kind of ease that only comes from truly knowing each other.
It’s soft in places, chaotic in others, and always anchored by that connection we fell for in the first place. And then there’s the heat—still very much present, still very much theirs 🔥
No grand shifts, no need to reintroduce what already feels known—just slipping back into their orbit and remembering, all over again, why they were so easy to love in the first place.
This short story is quintuple POV, well written, and a super steamy and kinky, reverse harem, erotic fantasy romance epilogue/slice of life between Caliane, the female human queen lead, Magnar, the male monster king lead, and his knights, Khay, Arvi, Raduna, the other monster male leads. I ADORE these slices of life because I like seeing the characters happy, enjoying life, and building their relationships deeper, and this is a fantastic example. I adored the support that the males provided for Caliane. I thoroughly enjoyed the steamy/spicy intimate scenes. I enjoyed how happy the characters were, even as they still had hard work and difficult situations to deal with. Absolutely beautiful.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
This was a great epilogue novella for us to get a peek back into the lives of our characters from A Prize for the King. It’s a quick and light piece to wrap up everything that happens after the end of the last book. We get to see married life of Caliane, Magnar and her 3 knights, Khay, Arvi and Raduna as they navigate court life.
They already have 2 kids and she’s ready for more! The reverse harem is going strong and they’re still helping each other work through their lingering trauma. It’s so nice to see how they all still support one another.
Spicily Ever After is a very sweet, cozy, low stakes, extended epilogue of Prize for the King. The short mystery part felt like it was missing something, but it was still an enjoyable cozy read overall. It was a great way to catch up with the characters from Prize for the King. The artwork included is amazing as always. I love it when authors include character art within the books.

ARC Review (from Author) This novella felt like such a treat from Layla, and I absolutely loved it!
It was wonderful to return to Caliane, Magnar, Khay, Arvi, and Raduna—their dynamic is still just as charming as ever, and their children added such a sweet and heartwarming touch. I didn’t realize how much I had missed them until now.
Getting to spend more time in their world again was truly special. Thank you, Layla, for this lovely revisit!
"Each day is happier than the last, and I wouldn’t have it any other way."
This short novella is a slice of Caliane's Happily ever after. A very steamy HEA!!! Caliane now is queen and mother and has no free time, but her mates make her take a break here and there.Very hot and sweaty breaks. This is a perfect complement to Prize for the king, not really big on plot,it's sweet, loving and super spicy.

I think you can read and enjoy this little spicy novella as a stand alone. However, and that's an all caps however, if you read "A Prize for the King" this spicy little novella adds icing on the cupcakes of all the relationships. There's a little mystery and a look at the maturing evolving relationship dynamics we enjoyed in the first book.

This little novella is an extended epilogue to Prize for the King - one of my favorite books of the last year!
This is no epic - it is, however, an absolute delight to revisit Caliane and her marvelous, monstrous mates. We see their Happily ever After, the babies they make together and the peace they have worked so hard to achieve.
Cute and steamy little addition to the main story. We rivisit Caliane and her knights a few years in the future. At which point she's already birthed 2 children and they're in talks for who will father the third. It's mostly fluffy smut with a little nod to past trauma and a good dash of sarcastic mother in law. A great extra epilogue to wrap up the story.
Caliane already has 2 heirs for the kigdom but now theres want for a third but who out of her men will be the father? The king Magnar? Or knights Khay, Raduna or Arvi? Well written great short spicy addition to the kings prize series.
This was a good quick novella. A nice extension to the original story. Lots of spice and feelings. You definitely need to have read A prize for the king first if you want to follow the storyline and characters properly. Definitely worth reading if you loved the first book.
Oh! I loved this spicy episode book. Let me tell you it is so,so spicy. I'm so glad this was written as I wanted a little more story from these characters and now I'm satisfied but I look forward to reading the next book by this author.
This book is a very spicy epilogue for especially those who loved The Prize for the King. The reader gets to return to these characters' everyday life and get a glimpse of their happily ever after. If you like spicy why choose, this little novella is for you.
I definitely enjoyed this! I loved prize for the king so having more of that story was great! Absolutely all spice with a cute story about the kids and mother in law. I love that they all got some one on one time with her and it was HOT! Definitely looking forward to another book in this world!
I really don't know what to say about this book. Honestly it wasn't needed. I wasn't a fan of the smut and I felt the pacing was off. This book is 5 years in the future but it didn't feel like it.
I loved "Prize for the king" so I was thrilled to get more of the story. However most of this novella is smut and I wasn't a big fan of that. Thank you to the author for the arc.
