No real highs, no real lows but kept me invested in the story.
Jace and Lily's story didn't excite it just was. The premise moved along and kept me vested in the story, but not much of a storyline other than the characters getting to know each other. Often I was looking for more and just not quite getting it. It's like they are just simply content to be with no real fanfare. I do question two things. After the claiming she still goes home to Grandma to sleep instead of staying with Jace. That conversation was not had and again I find that lacking from any other story I have read. I mean there is Grandma had a stroke, but she was recovering and there was never any real interaction for that purpose. The other thing I find truly lacking is the fact that people have seen wolves during rescues, mentioned more in the first story...why don't they just say they use wolves or large dogs etc for rescues. That wouldn't be uncommon in rescue and would account for some of the reaction speed. Just my thoughts. I will keep reading.

Different but beautiful read
Not a lot of action but a wonderful change from the typical shifter romance. A strong female character holding her own amongst a shifter pack and carving out her place in it. This is a different kind of love story but the writing is so beautiful it is worth the time to read it.

Wonderful story that flows from book to book. The characters are very thoughtful and real. The storyline behind the rescue team is good and has lots of potential for several books.
Highly recommend this series to every shifter lover book reader.
